Brown eyes hid behind eyelids, letting the power of the bracelet of Illusion do its work and transform his appearance again. To that of Setsuko, (Setsuko who Uta abandoned for being weak) the twin of the famous Diva. Deep black hair turns into white and red (white on the right, red on the left), his hair slicked back as well, his headphones going around the back of his head upwards and glowed red instead of blue. A white baggy long sleeve shirt on him instead of the red shirt or being shirtless, a red sash belt tightly tied around his waist, black pants and sleek dress shoes.
The bracelet emitted a glow, his purple eyes flickering to the warm chocolates as it glowed gold. The void of the Uta world completely weak against the power of the Sun god and the ways his will bends reality to his favor. Monkey D. Luffy, hito-hito no mi; model Sun God Nika consumer, makes up his mind.
The young man exits the Uta world all on his own.
Some were questioning his soul’s disappearance from the world separate from reality. Others, already knowing exactly what he was up to. His crew was oblivious to it all. Except for the first mate and the musician.
(The green-haired man may be an aspiring challenger to Mihawk’s title, but he was also the proud right-hand man of the future King of the Pirates. You think he wouldn’t recognize someone as important as his captain? He doesn’t care about how his face changed, or how he had a different eye color. Zoro knows from will alone, that Setsuko and Luffy were the one in the same.)
(A musician’s ears never lie, although Brook doesn’t have ears anymore! Skull joke! The skeleton musician heard Setsuko’s voice once, and that was when he freed them from the music staff confinement they were glued to. He knew who this man truly was, behind such a delicate façade was the rough interior of a king. Brook’s king. The one he pledged the rest of his eternal life to. He would be quite a slacking musician if he didn’t recognize his captain by voice alone!)
Uta feels her breath shorten. Her vision was awarded with black dots, she stuttered through her singing as she felt her fatigue catch up. She can’t sleep, not now . (Not now when she had quite literally ripped apart her promise to Luffy, not now when she was responsible for all this madness. Not now-) Her eyes half-lidded and Shanks can tell from the tired curve of her spine how she desperately needed sleep; he contemplated knocking her out cold. He knows it doesn’t work like that, but Uta was going to die here if she didn’t stop!
She collapses to her knees, as expected. Hongo ran to her side, muttering things about ‘overusing your devil fruit’ and how ‘it isn’t good for you’ while he was trying to chug another one of the medicine bottles down her throat. The song stopped, the bright lights disappeared, and the Den Den Mushi transmitter no longer transmitted anything.
Shanks knows it's selfish... But he got his daughter back. Even if millions were sacrificed. (He doesn’t even know his Anchor was one of those ‘millions’) “Will she be okay, Hongo?” Uta was still trying to get up, making weak attempts at pulling away from her uncle. She needs to sing the entire song again-
“I recall... The day we played together by the sea... Just you and me.”
“Still. That scent... Of ocean seems to fade each passing day. It slips away, so I sing an old familiar song... I hope you know the one”
“I will sing to call you back to me...”
“I need you to hear it. Need you to believe in, something out there beyond the open sea. Out in the starlight, I need you to hear. Need you to believe in. There’s a wind stirring my wings, and it's always beckoning...”
“Calling me above, into the open sky~”
The Red-haired pirates turned to each other. That voice sounded way too much like Uta’s! Yet, she wasn’t the one singing.... She wasn’t the one freeing the trapped souls in the Uta world, yet you shouldn’t even be able to free people from that other world without the power of the Uta uta no mi...! So, who was this-?
…"The day that we found you in that chest... Uta...” Hongo began, starting recall the earlier days of their journey. The time when they completely ransacked an enemy pirate crew when they were still making their name known... Baby Uta had blanket with her and she loved it greatly... But her name wasn’t the only name etched with embroidery on it.
“The second name... My brother...!” Uta stood back up on her shaky legs, all this time. She’s heard his brother’s voice no matter how far the seas separate them. She heard him laugh, she heard him cry, she heard him yell in anger, she heard him befriend such amazing individuals that had needed his help.
“Hongo, now isn’t the time to speculate.” Benn hadn’t wanted to give anyone false hope and this was all too wild, even if Uta’s mysterious missing twin knew of her through her fame. He wouldn’t up and just sing a song for her, love from blood relatives these days was really hard to come by. Luffy’s family may be crazy, but it’s the closest they can get to a family actually caring for one another.
“No! No, I hear him! I still do- He's on Elegia, Shanks we can meet him!” Uta’s face was bright and joyous, just like before, Shanks doesn’t know how to say ‘no’ after so many years of being away from his daughter. The Red-haired officers were curious as well, who was this mystery brother of their daughter? Could they adopt him too?
(A/N: who wants to tell them they already know and have already adopted him? Not it.)
“Don’t you dare.” Benn warned the two of them, Uta was still healing, and she needed sleep to continue the treatment. Uta was ready to defy him and make a run for it when the medicine started to take effect on her systems. She felt sleepy, but she still hadn’t seen her brother yet!
“You can find him tomorrow Uta, I doubt he’d be able to get off the island as fast as he got here. Marines are on this island too; he’ll get caught if he’s an Identical twin.” Yasopp commented with some humor, but the last part was serious. It’d be easier to search for the twin brother if he was an identical twin, however, the fact still remains that the marines might mistake him for Uta or realize that he’s Uta’s brother if they’re smart enough.
“Then-! Then, I gotta...!” Uta struggled to get away from Shanks' grip on her.
“Uta, if you say you need to find him because you’re the older sister then you can hold your tongue on that one. We don’t even know who was born first.” Shanks teased, although he had good reasoning. At least in her perspective anyways, her eyelids drop, and her body goes slack. The medicine was able to heal her in peace now.
“We need to find him.” Shanks ordered his officers, his eyes steeled with determination. He was curious, but also there was a growing affection in his chest for a boy he hadn’t even met yet. How was that even possible?
Somewhere... some time... Some place...
“Damn you, Torao... why’d you steal my bracelet?!” A bi-colored haired young man with the same purple eyes as the diva had cursed. His attired entirely different from the Uta world; a red shirt with a microphone wearing a straw hat as a design, orange straps on his shoulders that carry a lighter orange vest with speakers, his regularly worn denim shorts along with sandals were ever present. The same could be said for his Straw hat...
Wait... His straw hat?
The young man lifts his head up, eyes glowing red with Observation haki. Revealing a blade scar under his left eye.
Monkey D. Luffy was the twin of Diva; Uta.
