Once Steven got wind of the fact that his in-laws, Priyanka and Doug, had never been on an airplane before, he knew he had to take them up into the sky. And what better way to do so than with his Uncle Andy's airplane? Priyanka was a bit hesitant at first, but Doug was all for the idea.
"Come on, Mrs. Maheswaran, it'll be fun!" Steven said, trying to convince her.
"I don't know, Steven. I get motion sickness," Priyanka replied, worriedly.
But Steven didn't give up that easily. "Don't worry, we'll take it slow. You'll love it once you're up there," he said, determined to make her feel comfortable.
After some more convincing, Priyanka finally agreed to give it a try. They arrived at the airfield, and Uncle Andy greeted them, ready to take them up for their first airplane ride.
Once they were up in the sky, Doug was having the time of his life. "This is amazing!" he exclaimed, looking out at the view.
Meanwhile, Priyanka was feeling queasy. "I don't feel so good," she said, her face turning pale.
Priyanka leaned over the side of the plane and started to vomit. "Oh, no," Steven said, looking away.
But Doug didn't seem to mind. "It's okay, Priyanka. You'll feel better soon," he said, rubbing her back.
As they landed back on the ground, Priyanka looked relieved to be back on solid land. "I'm sorry, Steven. I just couldn't handle it," she said, apologetically.
But Doug had a big grin on his face. "That was amazing, Andy! Can we do it again sometime?" he asked excitedly.
Uncle Andy laughed. "Of course, Doug! Anytime you want," he said, patting him on the back.
Steven smiled, happy that he was able to share this experience with his in-laws, even though it didn't turn out perfectly. And even though Priyanka may not be up for another airplane ride anytime soon, he was glad that Doug and Uncle Andy had bonded over the experience.
