    When they removed Nidhogg's eyes from Estinien, it had more lasting effects than anyone could have expected.
    His body was now almost as weak as a small child, unable to hold his bladder or bowels, too weak to walk and even feed himself and Estinien found himself at the mercy of others.
    And if that wasn't bad enough, sometimes his mind dropped down as well, regressing to the state of a baby, his instincts base and he himself as helpless as an infant.
    In this condition, Estinien needed to be taken care of, and seeing that the healers didn't do a good enough job, Aymeric takes in the Azure Dragoon to make sure that his friend get's the care he deserves.
