Summary
NOTE: THIS FIC HAS BEEN ABANDONED due to it originally being posted on Amino, which has become unusable. It's no longer practical for me to transfer the chapters over, and besides, I want to revise a lot of the plot points in this fic, so it makes more sense to start over.
Hopefully, I'll start work on the new version soon. I still want to work in this universe, but this first draft is just not working out.
Born as an Octotrooper and raised as simple cannon fodder, its only goal in life was to die fighting Squidbeak – but when Callie was hypnotized, it suddenly found a passion, and a reason to keep on living. Four years later, the Girl from Inkopolis may be gone from the Octarian lands, but Tanjun hasn't forgotten.
But it's not easy being different in the Octarian Domes. When Tanjun's superiors find proof of its secret obsession, its life is turned upside down yet again. It's only by luck that it escapes at all, but now, it has to leave behind the only world it's ever known and find a new life on the surface.
After a chance encounter with a certain someone from its past, it may get just that.
