At Your Service

Summary:

Aaron Hotchner, a kind and upstanding Alpha and leader of the BAU, hasn’t had an omega mate in years, ever since Haley left him. He gave up, doesn’t have time, maybe didn’t think he’d find real love again. But when Rossi pushes him to try an Omega Rescue program, he falls hard for a very needy, very eager to please Spencer Reid.

Chapter 1: Washington D.C. Omegan Rescue and Training Foundation

Chapter Text

Hotch pressed his fingers to his temples in a now familiar gesture and sighed at Dave. “I’m not buying an Omega.”

“Stop it, Aaron. It’s not like that. They’re rescues, it’s humane these days, nothing like those old school mills way back when. They take the abandoned ones and give them a better life, some training, and ship ‘em off to Alphas who will give them what they need.”

“Dave…”

“A small adoption fee just to keep the foundation running, they’re nonprofit. It’ll do you some good, too. You need an omega in your life, it’s been far too long to be healthy.”

It was a late Friday afternoon, and Hotch was once again looking at spending the entire day in the darkness of his office, filling out report after stale report. “I’ll decide when it’s been too long. Now get out of my office, I have paperwork to finish,” Hotch said in a gruff, dismissive tone that left no room for argument—even from his best friend—and Rossi left, though not without a wink.

“Goddamnit,” Hotch groaned to himself.

The website was easier to browse than he expected. Just one click to the ‘Adoptables’ section and the shy, smiling faces of the foundation’s available Omegas appeared, row after row.

Hotch was also three whiskeys deep which helped a great deal with the ease of browsing. Sober, he wouldn’t be able to stand the embarrassment. As it was, his normally stony face was dusted in soft blush from the tips of his ears to the base of his neck.

Stephanie, David, Lauren, Ryan…

The omegas were so, so beautiful. Big, pleading eyes. Soft hair; flowing, shiny, and styled to perfection. Skin that seemed completely unmarked by blemish or hardship. They smiled back at him like perfect, submissive angels, and it stirred something deep and primal in his belly. That ache for Haley ran down to his very core and though he’s been able to push it off for a long time, it’s left an empty hole in its place. She was only a beta, but that was enough. He loved her. His inner Alpha has been hurting. He missed having a mate in his life.

Dave was right, annoyingly so.

The women omegas reminded him of Haley’s soft beauty. They were radiant. And he didn’t give much of a second glance to the men until he scrolled down to the bottom of the page and choked on his whiskey. The hair on the back on his neck stuck straight out as his inner Alpha growled.

It was the most breathtaking omega he’s ever seen.

Long, chestnut brown hair down to the shoulders with a slight curl at the ends. Matching brown eyes brought out an almost pouty, puppy dog charm. His cheekbones were impressively high, his skin pale and smooth, looking like it glowed, and a bashful red tint to his cheeks to top it off.

Unlike the other omegas, he wasn’t dressed in an elegant outfit, nothing revealing, or even shirtless as some of the males appeared to be. He was smiling back in a pastel purple dress shirt and matching blue sweater vest of a soft floral pattern, and it suited him perfectly.

Hotch had been looking at his picture for almost five minutes before he realized what he was doing. First of all, the Omega was a he, which was definitely outside of his wheelhouse. Haley was the first and only person he’d ever been with, ever really been seriously attracted to, and she was… a she. But that didn’t account for ‘Spencer’s’ mesmerizing looks and what it was doing to the current rate of his heart, thudding in his chest like a jackrabbit. With Haley, he had Alpha urges, but they never truly got out of control, never taken over or driven his actions. Even now, just looking, the pull from this omega to his inner Alpha was fierce.

He clicked. Spencer’s picture enlarged, taking up the whole page, and below it he scrolled down to find a very pleasing description:

At twenty-eight years of age, this Omega named ‘Spencer Reid’ is of high quality. He has passed each and every skill assessment with flying colors including the household, obedience, and sexual aptitude tests with flying colors. While he shows above average brightness for an omega, he does not lack in appearance, displaying classic delicate omega features. His long, willowy limbs, soft skin, and symmetrical features give him an almost angelic appearance.

Hotch licked his lips, agreeing wholeheartedly with each sentence.

Spencer was rescued all the way from Las Vegas, Nevada at a young age from a tumultuous home situation, but retains no trauma from his past as he assimilated perfectly into our omega training-and-healing program.

Spencer is ready to find his Alpha and provide Him or Her with lots of love and even pups could be on the horizon! Spencer is fertile and in his peak production age. Heats occur regularly every three weeks with adequate slick production and a healthy appetite for mating. While Spencer has had much practice with silicone knots, this young omega is still a virgin. We anticipate he will be quick to find a home!

For the fee listed below, you can adopt Spencer Reid today! Fill out our application and billing information to get started on the process. He looks forward to meeting You!

Hotch vaguely remembered the fear coursing through his chest as he typed out the application, head dizzy with intoxication and the worry that some other Alpha might snatch up Spencer first. He could not let that happen. Spencer was supposed to belong to him. He knew it.

Next week, an email pinged into Hotch’s inbox reading: Washington D.C. Omegan Rescue and Training Foundation. He jolted up in his chair, suddenly wide awake and felt his skin flash with a cold sweat as he clicked it open.

Despite being at work, in the conference room no less, and surrounded by his team, he broke out into a pleased grin. Scent rolled off him in waves, thick and pungent. Spencer was as good as his. He just needed to file the paperwork, and that was something he was no stranger to so he left without a word headed straight for the omega registration office at the Virginian county office.

His team sat back in the conference room slack-jawed and completely bewildered. What had gotten into their stoic, drill-sergeant boss?

The package arrived on a Monday. Hotch was home, eagerly looking out the window, because he pulled a few strings with Strauss and blacked out the entire week from cases. He did still have to work on the paperwork from home, but that was an easy compromise.

He pulled open the door before the delivery driver finished knocking.

“Oh— delivery for Mr. Hotchner,” she said.

“Yes, yes, thank you,” he replied in a hurry. “You can put it down right over there.”

His hand was shaking while signing the paperwork, signature barely making it on the line because he was so preoccupied watching the woman wheel the large box into his living room.

“All right, that’s it. Have a great day,” she tipped her hat and left his home with her papers.

And then he was alone. Sort of. Because there was the box.

“Spencer…?” he whispered.

“H-Hello?” the box answered.

Hotch’s brain switched back on at the sound of that beautiful, melodic voice, and he carefully ripped open the package to find that same breathtaking face looking back at him. But the worst part, no, the best part was the sweet scent coming from inside the obviously scent proofed box–it flooded out the moment it opened and hit him like a freight train. His inner Alpha postured, feeling the presence of an omega, and bristled with excitement.

“Spencer,” he breathed.

Spencer, nearly as tall as he was, stepped out of the long box and smiled ear to ear. He tucked his hair behind them nervously and asked, “Hi, Alpha?”

“Yes.” Hotch cleared his throat. The word, just a word, felt like so much more than that– it stirred something inside of him. “Yes, Omega. I’m your Alpha. I’m Aaron.”

And to that, Spencer blushed a deep red, a full face flush; it was the most charming display Hotch had ever seen, and sent his heart fluttering. Spencer was going to be trouble.

Then, unprompted, Spencer fell to his knees looking up to him through long, dark lashes, his big omegan eyes sparkling.

“Spencer, you don't have to–”

But Spencer was bearing his neck in a show of complete submission, the message crystal clear to Hotch’s Alpha hindbrain: Take me, I’m yours.

“I do! I must show respect to my Alpha,” he whispered. “A proper Omega knows his place is at the feet of his Alpha. A proper Omega shows his submission willingly.”

“You can stand up, please, it’s okay,” Hotch urged. He’d really just love to sit Spencer down and learn everything about him. Perhaps take him out on a proper date, cook him a meal, make him feel welcome. The Alpha clawing at the back of his mind kicking and screaming to BITE was nothing but an uncivilized nuisance and Spencer deserved better. He probably should start with a tour. He would be living there, after all.

“If that’s what Alpha wants,” he said with a smile. Hotch helped him to his feet—he was dressed much like he was in the picture, a soft purple dress shirt, this time a touch more lavish, a deep purple suit vest instead of a sweater, and he looked every bit as jaw dropping as he did the first time he ‘saw’ him.

“Uh, yes, it is. I want to show you your new home.”

Spencer gasped with a delighted expression, though his scent was dripping with confusion. “But this isn’t my home. This is your den, Alpha. An omega has no possessions.”

“No, this is yours now too,” Aaron repeated. “Not just mine. Ours.”

“Ours…?” Spencer tried not to smile. This was all too much! He heard about omegas that got shipped off to live happily ever after with an Alpha, but even this was surpassing his wildest expectation. His home too? Surely the Alpha was mistaken! But, Alphas don’t make mistakes! And this Alpha was so big, and powerful, and smelled so strong of pheromones it was nearly suffocating! An Alpha like that wasn’t ever wrong.

He was confused.

“Come this way, I’ll show you around.” Aaron ushered him in, gritting his teeth and forcing himself not to pounce, and Spencer toed off his shoes nicely before following.

There was a large entryway, and to the left, Aaron showed him a huge kitchen! There was marble and lots and lots of counter space. Even room for a coffee pot! Spencer wondered if he would be allowed to drink coffee here. He would have to ask later if Alpha was in a good mood.

“Did you want me to cook, Alpha? What did you want for dinner?” Spencer rounded the island to the pantry where he peered inside. “Where are the aprons?”

“No, no. Spencer, please, let me finish the tour. You don’t have to make dinner right now. Perhaps I can cook for you later.”

“Oh–” Spencer blushed, another deep, dark red one. “No, Sir. I can cook. I promise. My cooking skills have greatly improved in the past few years. I ranked top of my class this last quarter. I promise.”

“I’m sure you're great,” Aaron said with a smile. He didn’t want to profile Spencer; he had the right to privacy, but he couldn’t help picking up on a few things about his behavior already. “I wanted to do it as a ‘welcome home’ gesture.” When Spencer didn’t respond, instead looking toward the floor and scuffing his socks—mismatched, Hoth noticed—he decided to move on. “Let me show you the living room.”

They went on, room to room. Spencer tried to start a load of laundry and make the bed, which to Hotch’s chagrin, was unmade as usual. He could admit he wasn’t the best at keeping up with the house.

“And lastly, this is the guest room.” Hotch waved into a well-decorated room; a big queen sized bed, big windows with long curtains, and a plush brown rug. “This is where you can sleep.”

Spencer stopped in his tracks. “Oh.”

“Do you no like it? I can get darker curtains. Or an air freshener? Anything you need…”

“No, I…” Spencer took a deep breath. “Thank you, Alpha, I love it. I’m so appreciative of everything you have done for me. Would you like to fuck me in bed now?”

This time, Hotch stopped, choked on air, and flew into a coughing fit. Beside him, Spencer was looking so innocent with those big doe eyes, looking sweet like an angel despite his casual proposition. In truth, Hotch wanted to pounce on him. Rip his clothes off and fuck him into the mattress but that was his hindbrain talking. He could smell Spencer’s light nervousness, his downright suffocating desire to please, and he would never take advantage. But, dear god, he smelled irresistible. So fuckable. “I- that’s- Spencer, we just met, I don’t, um…”

“Y-You don’t like me?” his voice quivered. “You don’t find me attractive? I’m sorry, Alpha. I can make up for it! I will do anything. I’ll change! Anything you want!”

“No! No, no, Spencer, I–”

With a cry, Spencer suddenly ran for the bed, burying himself under the covers. Soft sounds of sobbing could be heard and he choked out, “I’m sorry!”

“No, I’m sorry! You are attractive, Spencer I didn’t mean no you aren’t, god, sorry I just meant– You don’t have to. We only just met, we don’t need to sleep together yet, I want to get to know you! Please, Spencer, don’t cry, I apologize, really, can you come out from under there?”

“Not yet?” He sniffled. It was wet and snotty but Aaron still found it completely adorable.

“Soon. Whenever you feel comfortable.”

Spencer brightened up. “I feel comfortable now!”

“Okay, as soon as, ahem, we both feel comfortable, Spencer. I find you extremely attractive.” Aaron blushed; he almost never gave out verbal praise. This was all so new. “But I’m the type of Alpha that likes to take it slow. Is that okay with you?”

“Yes! Yes, Alpha. Whenever you want. I’m at your service. I’m ready whenever you want me.”
