Summary
Lily had lied. She had lied to James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter. Lily had hidden something massive from the men in her life because she had to. It was the only way to protect them and Harry would only find out if she died.
Lily was given several offers upon her graduation and she had been surprised by the choice of working in the Department of Mysteries. However, it comes at a cost her family can never know what she was doing as their very lives would be in danger. More dangerous than they were as fighters against the Dark Lord.
