Chapter Text
So, the story is going to mainly focus on Rafe and Barry rather than the entire plot of Outer Banks. Will the plot come up? Obviously just because a lot of Rafe's character building and development is dependent on the plot, but I won't being giving a play by play of the entire show. It'll kind of be a behind the scenes view of their relationship.
I'll also be giving my interpretation of Rafe and his mental state and why he acts the way he does. His character is very well written, I feel, and there is a lot of context and exposition as to why he has developed into the person he is. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, though, is Barry. We don't get a lot of background on his character, but it's whatever. That just means I can do whatever I want with his character. >:)
Also, some warning; abuse, substance abuse, harsh language, sexual content, and portrayal of mental illness. I am not a psychologist, I'm just using what I know about Rafe's upbringing and environment to draw conclusions as to why he acts the way he does. I'm not going to specifically or definitively name any kind of diagnosis for him, just point out certain behaviors within him. So, take whatever I say with a grain of salt.
I love how I sit here and speak as if anyone is actually going to read this shit. I just don't see much Rafe x Barry content and I decided to just make it myself. If no one else reads this, I will, so like, whatever. If you want something done right you gotta do it yourself.
I'm also delusional, so....yeahhh. Updates will probably be slow, mostly coming in burst if I had to guess, just because I'm not always in the writing mood. Coming up with stories is all fun and games until you actually have to sit down and write the shit out. And my fucking space bar is spotty, so sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't and it enrages me beyond belief.
I'm rambling. Just, read it if you want.
