The Company had been making their way through Mirkwood when they were suddenly ambushed by the elves. They had fought bravely, but the elves had been too many and too strong.
Damn those tree shaggers!
Now, Thorin found himself locked in a cell deep beneath the palace of the elven king Thranduil. He had been separated from his fellow dwarves and Bilbo, he didn’t even know if the hobbit was dead or alive.
As the elves had taken the hobbit to a different part of the dungeon. Thorin had been outraged by this. Has had his kin who all swore and cursed at the elves who dared to take away their hobbit.
His hobbit!
He paced back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts of escape and rescue. He couldn't bear the thought of leaving his comrades behind, especially not Bilbo, the hobbit who had captured his heart. The hobbit that was his, and his anole.
As the hours turned into days, Thorin's resolve and anger only grew stronger. He managed to loosen the ropes binding his hands, and he used all his strength to break the lock on his cell door.
Silently, he crept through the halls of the elf prison, searching for any sign of his fellow dwarves and Bilbo. He heard the sounds of interrogation coming from various cells, and his heart clenched with anger.
After what felt like an eternity, Thorin came across Bilbo's cell. His heart pounded in his chest as he saw the hobbit inside, looking pale and frightened but otherwise unharmed.
“Thorin! You alive, oh thank the gods! I thought…” Bilbo whispered, warm eyes gazing over Thorin face, as he rushed over to his cell door.
Without thinking, Thorin reached through the bars and took Bilbo's face in his hands. relief rushed through him. At the sight and sound of Bilbo before him.
His Amrâlimê was safe.
He pressed his lips to Bilbo's in a desperate kiss, Bilbo gasped in surprise, but didn’t pull away, his lips soft against Thorin own rough and chapped ones. It didn’t surprise him, ever part of his hobbit seemed to be soft and kind.
His hand tightened around the Bilbo’s head, in a fierce need to pull the hobbit closer to him. Cursing the door that kept them apart. Through he did find it adorable how the hobbit had to stand on the tips of his toes to reach Thorin hight through the metal bars.
But what overjoyed him the most was how quickly Bilbo responded to the kiss with equal fervor. And just for a few moments, they forgot about the danger that surrounded them, lost in the comfort of each other's lips.
Finally Thorin allowed the hobbit to broke apart thier kiss, when he had him gasping for breath. Cheeks flushed with beautiful swollen lips.
Thorin rested his forehead against Bilbo's, holding him close. His fingers gently running through bilbos curly locks.
"I thought I had lost you," he whispered. "I couldn't bear it."
Bilbo smiled weakly, his eyes shining with warm. "You haven't lost me, Thorin," he said. "Not yet."
Thorin nodded, his hand coming to cup Bilbo's cheek. "I won't lose you," he vowed. "I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe."
Together, they waited for their chance to escape, their hearts filled with hope and determination. And as they fought their way to freedom, they knew that they could face anything as long as they had each other.
Finally, they emerged from the palace, battered and bruised but alive. The rest of the Company was waiting for them, and they all cheered as Thorin and Bilbo joined them.
Thorin looked around at his fellow dwarves, his heart swelling with pride and love. He knew that they had been through a harrowing ordeal, but they had all survived.
As they made their way back to the safety of the Lonely Mountain, Thorin and Bilbo walked side-by-side, their hands clasped together. They knew that their love for each other had only grown stronger through their trials, and they were grateful for the bond they had forged in the face of adversity.
