Bilbo Baggins, contracted burglar to Thorin Oakenshield King Under the Mountain, tricker of trolls, keeper of keys, dragonsbait, and witness to the fall of clan Durin, has come home, but his mind remains where Thorin fell, his ears resound with Kili and Fili screaming in pain, and his eyes chase the dragon through a different sky.
Will the Shire ever be the same?Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the Mountain, leader of the quest to recover Erebor, slayer of orcs, and keeper of the peace, lives, but the road to recovery is a bumpy one and a rushed one. The mountain needs its king, but the king has one journey yet to complete.
Will his answers be enough?Two hearts, far apart.

"I... I love you..."
"I love you too, just keep breathing..."
Was it a lie of mercy to a dying dwarf?

Summary
Thorin and Bilbo, separated from their companions and held captive in the elven palace, find solace in each other. Thorin breaks free from his cell and reunites with Bilbo, sharing a desperate kiss that momentarily eclipses their peril.
Determined to keep Bilbo safe, Thorin vows to protect him at all costs. Together, they await their chance to escape and emerge battered but alive, greeted by their cheering companions.

Summary
Thorin thought that he knew everything that there was to know about hobbits. Or rather, everything that was worth knowing that is. They were stuffy, rounded little things, who cared more about food and green things over practical matters, such as loyalty and honor. So to say that Thorin was displeased when Gandalf suggested that they take one of these halflings on the most important quest of Thorin’s (or any dwarf really) life, is the biggest understatement of Middle Earth. In fact, if pressed, Thorin would like to make his displeasure of his present circumstances known, preferably by shoving a sword or an ax through a certain wizard's head.
Cue Mister Baggins, and his insufferable love of plants.
Or, Thorin thinks Bilbo is weak, and then falls in love with him.

Summary
The first thing Thorin sees when he wakes up is his own hand resting on the bedsheets. Atop it rests another, smaller hand. It feels warm and looks soft, the skin unworried by forge burns and blemishes. It is not a dwarf’s hand; he knows as much. Yet he cannot quite gather for himself if that is of any importance.
Or, Thorin loses his memory and quite forgets that the hobbit by his bedside whom he wishes to court and marry is already his husband. Everyone else find this hilarious.

Now, standing in front of painfully familiar green door, his mind is reeling with fear, uncertainty and anticipation. Will the Company succeed this time? Will he fall into madness under the pull of cursed golden hoard? Will he manage to save his nephews from peril?
The thought of endless possibilities dissipated the moment he met the eyes of the burglar who stole his heart. -
