The door bangs open against the wall as the sounds of tiny feet fill the house for the first time many a decade, only now it wasn't Steve calling out for the owner of the feet to slow down and be careful. Steve met the eyes of his home health aid (he only got to ease EJ's mind after he started getting weaker and weaker from the chemo, he could never say no to that shade of brown eyes) and they shared an amused smile.
"Grandpa!"
(Steve lost Eddie and lived a life without him there but now it's time to reunite with his heart)
