Chapter Text
Enid's heart was pounding in her chest as she stood there, just a few feet away from the person she had been waiting for all these years. She had tried to be good, to follow her plans, but things never seemed to go as intended. Planning was not her strong suit, after all.
For a decade, Enid had yearned for Wednesday's presence, relying on blurry pictures and rumors to keep her dreams alive. It had been a long and agonizing wait, but she had remained patient, despite her inherently impatient nature. Her old roommate could attest to that, although it was impossible to ask someone who lay six feet under the ground.
Enid never intended for Wednesday to find out about her feelings this way. Enid envisioned a heartfelt confession, reminiscing about their shared past and expressing her enduring love from the beginning. However, the situation took an unexpected turn, and Enid found herself resorting to extreme measures.
Kidnapping Tying up her beloved, well until she calm down.
'It's not kidnapping if she's still in her room, right?'
She never planned to tie Wednesday to a chair or use duct tape to silence her. It was a spontaneous act, driven by fear, desire, and the overwhelming presence of Wednesday, who seemed ready to kill her retaliate if given a chance. Despite the tense circumstances, Enid couldn't deny the powerful allure of Wednesday's presence. There was something irresistible about her, even in this unsettling moment.
'God, the things you do to me when you look at me' A shiver went down to her spine
Amid this complicated situation, Enid couldn't help but find herself falling in love with Wednesday all over again, despite the circumstances that had brought them together in this unconventional way.
As Enid's unhinged smile grew wider, she positioned another chair facing Wednesday, who continued to glare at her. With a tilt of her head, Enid addressed Wednesday, her voice surprisingly calm considering the circumstances.
"Wednesday," she began, "if I remove the tape from your mouth, will you promise not to shout?" Enid awaited a response, but Wednesday maintained her piercing glare, giving no indication of compliance.
Taking Wednesday's silence as a tentative agreement, Enid nodded to herself. With a gentle touch, she placed her hand on Wednesday's cheek, softly caressing it. Wednesday's eyes followed Enid's fingers, watching closely as she carefully peeled off the tape, ensuring not to cause any discomfort to the Goth girl.
'If I kissed you right now, would you still be angry at me?' Enid thought as she started at Wednesday's reddened lips
Enid's heart raced, unsure of how Wednesday would react once freed from her restraints. Yet, the touch of their skin against each other brought longing and hope to Enid's heart, fueling her desire.
"I'm surprised," Wednesday started.
"You look more angry than surprised," Enid jested, chuckling.
"I never knew you had it in you. That's why I never suspected you to be the stalker," Wednesday continued.
"I'm full of surprises, baby," Enid winked playfully, attempting to defuse the tension.
"Don't call me that, Sinclair," Wednesday growled, her expression hardened. "You will not get away with this."
Enid's smile faltered slightly, and she pouted. "It's Enid," she corrected softly. "And I never planned on going away in the first place, especially when we're so close after all these years."
"All these years? I have a perfect memory, and I guarantee you we've never met," Wednesday retorted
Enid scoffed dismissively. "Then maybe you don't have a perfect memory after all," she mocked.
"If you're just planning on teasing, just tell me what you want or end me already," Wednesday snapped, her patience wearing thin.
Enid's expression turned serious as she locked eyes with Wednesday. "I want you, always will, and always have," she declared, her voice filled with genuine emotion.
Before they could continue their conversation, a knock at the door interrupted them, causing Enid to react swiftly. She immediately covered Wednesday's mouth with tape, ensuring her silence. Placing a finger to her own lips, Enid signaled Wednesday to remain quiet, then stood up, prepared to handle the unexpected visitor.
Walking towards the door, Enid felt a surge of anticipation and a touch of caution. She extended her claws while keeping one hand discreetly positioned at her back. Casting one last intense glance at Wednesday, who watched her intently, Enid turned her attention to the visitor at the door.
"Hey, Pup," Yoko greeted as Enid slightly opened the door.
"Hey, Yoko. Do we have plans tonight? Oh my gosh, did I forget them again?" Enid gasped, her tone now more innocent and lighthearted.
"Nah, we were planning to have dinner in town. I was thinking if you wanted to come along, you could invite Addams too," Yoko replied, unaware of the intense situation unfolding just moments ago.
Enid's posture relaxed, her claws retracting as she considered Yoko's invitation. A sense of relief washed over her as the tension dissipated temporarily.
"Yeah, I can do that. Just give me a minute. But Wens kinda busy right now, so I'll just bring her some food at home," Enid chuckled, "I'll follow soon."
Yoko nodded in understanding. "We'll wait in my room," she said before leaving.
Enid closed the door behind Yoko with a sigh of relief, grateful for the temporary respite. She shifted her gaze back to Wednesday, her expression softening. "So, I'll be gone for a couple of hours, but I'll bring you some food," she assured Wednesday.
Enid's voice held of warning as she addressed Wednesday, ensuring the ropes were securely tied. "Don't think of trying to get out of those ropes. They're specifically made to bind werewolves, so don't waste your energy," she stated firmly. "And Thing's not here to help you either."
Wednesday's anger intensified in her piercing gaze.
"I didn't do anything to him!" Enid waved her hand dismissively. "I just faked a letter, making him believe he's needed in New Jersey for a few days. He won't be back anytime soon," she explained, a mischievous grin on her lips.
Enid's demeanor shifted, her tone turning lighter, albeit still tinged with a touch of dominance. "So, Miss Perfect Memory, while I'm out, you've got some remembering to do. It wouldn't be fair if I did all the work in this relationship, you know," she teased, leaning down to caress Wednesday's cheeks gently.
"It'd be easy to remember" Enid's tone became more intense as she spoke. "Unless it's your habit to give dandelion rings and propose to every kid you meet," she remarked, bitterness in her voice.
'Or I might kill them too'
Enid's eyes clouded with jealousy as she tightened her grip on Wednesday's cheeks. Their faces were now inches apart.
'Mine'
Leaning even closer, Enid's breath mingled with the tape on Wednesday's mouth as she continued. "But yeah, it was summer when you proposed to me, with a ring made of dandelions that grew in the cemetery," she revealed, a faint grin crossing her face. She pressed a chaste kiss against the tape covering Wednesday's lips.
'All mine'
Enid pulled away, breaking the closeness between them, and walked toward the door. As she prepared to leave, she glanced back at Wednesday with longing and said, "That'll be enough for you, don't you think?"
With those words, Enid turned away, leaving Wednesday in the room, bound by ropes and silenced by tape. As she walked out, she couldn't help but refer to Wednesday with a term of endearment, "See you later, Darling."
