“On the count of three ready.” Lucia, her brown hair being short at the end with two tufts of hair hanging from the sides of her face with brown eyes who was wearing a black shirt and blue plaid pajama pants was now 14. Luca who was now 13 years old with brown curly short hair and having one eye green the other orange wearing a white shirt and black basketball shorts hummed in agreement.
“1..2..3…WAKE UP LUZ!” Lucia and Luca shouted. “Ahh I’m up I’m up!!” Luz yelped who was now 11 years old with short brown hair wearing a purple baseball shirt and black shorts as she was now on the floor scared from the disturbance of her sleep. Luz looked to see if her siblings were laughing at her. “Not funny.” Luz said getting up before tackling her siblings down as all three of them fell laughing.
“Anyways we just wanted to wake you up to wish you a happy birthday!” Lucia said, hugging her sister. Luz reciprocated the hug then pulled away to hug her brother Luca. “Happy Birthday Hermana. Can’t believe you're eleven years old. You know what that means. Right?”Luca said, pulling away from the hug. “Yup I get my Hogwarts letter soon.” Luz said excitedly that she’s gonna be able to go school with her siblings. She remembers every time on September 1 when she along with her mom and siblings would use floo powder to get to king cross and head to platform 9 ¾ to catch the train that would take her siblings to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry but sometimes people would be there bowing at her like she was famous.
Since then whenever Luca and Lucia returned from school Luz would ask them all types of questions regarding Hogwarts and her siblings would happily try to answer her questions about Hogwarts and what they learned of course they couldn’t demonstrate the magic because they were not of age yet to do magic outside of school. However Luz has been able to see some form of magic from her mom when she’s doing chores around the house or when her mom would take her to work since she’s a healer.
“Anyways moms downstairs making breakfast come on.” Luca said as he got up meanwhile Lucia was standing and already heading down the stairs with Luca and Luz following behind. As they reached the kitchen they saw their mother Camila standing cooking on the stove. “Hola ninos.” Camila said as her kids sat down and were waiting for breakfast which was bacon, eggs and Waffles or pancakes while a jug of juice was on the table.
“Smells good mom.” Luz said as her mom approached her with a plate of food putting it in front of Luz. “Happy birthday my little Luz.” Her mother said, giving her a kiss on the forehead. “Gracias mamá.” Luz said as she started eating while Luca and Lucia got their plates. Their mom then joined them as they were all eating.
“So what are you kids gonna do today?” Her mom asked. “We'll, aside from celebrating Luz’s birthday, probably continue doing my homework and maybe practice quidditch.” Luca said as Lucia ruffled her little sister’s hair. Just then a brown owl appeared at their kitchen window. “Lucia would you get that.” Her mom said as Lucia nodded and walked to the window, opening it allowing the owl to enter.
“Hey it’s Hooty and he has a letter from Eda.” Lucia said, taking the letter from him. “What does it say?” Luca asked. “That Eda and her son are coming over today and was wondering if that was fine.” Lucia said. “Yeah that’s fine.” Her mom said, grabbing everyone’s dish as they finished their food. Lucia nodded before grabbing a parchment paper and wrote a response saying that it was perfect.
Luz approached her sister and Hooty. “Heya Hooty.” Luz said as she reached over to pet him which he hooted happily. “Alright here. Take this to Eda.” Lucia said, tying it to his foot. Hooty nodded and flew away. “Alright come on Luca let’s go practice our skills.” Lucia said as she, her brother and Luz went outside to the yard and headed over to their shed taking out their brooms which were the cleansweep eleven.
Because of we’re they lived which was Ottery St.Catchpole a place that was open space and had other wizarding families nearby and stores down the street they didn’t need to worry about anyone spotting them. “Alright, same as usual flying sprints around the yard.” Lucia said getting a timer and giving it to Luz. “You know what to do Luz.” Luz nodded as Lucia and Luca mounted the brooms and took off as Luz started timing them as they were just being kids and having fun.
