Rem's stomach dropped when Nai's half-smiling face was reflected back at them, with the status of 'Adam' highlighted beneath his name.
"No… I was told that the project had been scrapped," Rem whispered, her grip going tight over Nai's tunic, tugging Vash all the closer to her as well when she continued," Tessla showed the consequences before. She wasn't fit for the role- none of them are! You're doomed to repeat the same mistakes!"
