Chapter Text
Cresent sniffled as she hid in the cave. She was playing with her siblings when she got separated. She saw a mysterious white pokemon and followed it. That resulted in her being lost. She wondered about trying to find her way out of the forest. She was scared and hungry. And now it was raining, which is why she was in the cave. It was the only place she could find for cover. She shivered and sneezed. 'It's so cold...' Cresent thought with another sniffle. Looking at the entrance, it didn't seem like the rain would be stopping soon.
The sound of footsteps approaching made Cresent jump. Looking deeper into the cave, she could hear something approaching. Cresent held her breath as a white figure came into view. It's white fur was beautiful. This must've been the one she saw earlier. Still, Cresent didn't dare move. It's red eyes looked into her pink and purple ones. After what felt like an eternity, it walked towards her. Cresent flinched and squeezed her eyes shut. Suddenly, it was less cold. Carefully opening her eyes, she looked to see it curled around her.
It stared at her curiously before rubbing it's nose against her cheek. Cresent giggled a bit. Then she cuddled closer to its soft fur. "You're so warm..." Cresent said quietly. "Sol." It said quietly. Laying it's head down on the stony floor. Cresent eyes soon drooped as she drifted off. When she awoke, the rain had stopped. Getting up, the pokemon got up as well. Cresent left the cave and she smiled seeing a beautiful rainbow. "Absol." Cresent looked to see the white pokemon a little ahead of her.
It's head motioned for her to follow. Cresent quickly ran up to it. Once by its side, it started walking into the forest and she followed. For quite a while they walked. The pokemon protecting her from the other wild ones. Then, Cresent heard a familiar voice. "Cresent! Where are you?!" Cresent smiled as tears formed in her eyes. "Janus! I'm over here!" She called out. Not long after, her oldest sibling appeared. She ran into their arms while sobbing. "Oh Janus! I was so scared!" She cried.
Janus just hugged her tight as their Umbreon stared cautiously at the other pokemon. "It's ok sis, I'm here now." They said quietly before looking up. "Why is there an Absol here?" They questioned. Cresent sniffled, looking towards the pokemon, now knowing it's name. "This Absol protected me! And kept me warm in the rain!" She explained, smiling at it. Janus stared at it in surprise before smiling. "Hey Cresent, how would you like to catch it?" They asked. Cresent looked at him in surprise before grinning widely.
"Yeah!" Letting Cresent go, Janus reached into their pocket and pulled out a ultra ball. "Here ya go little sis." Cresent smiled and gently took it. Almost amazed at how smooth it was. She never held one before. Gently, she approached the Absol. "Absol...would you like to come with me?" She asked quietly, holding out the ultra ball. Absol stared at it for a few seconds before smiling, gently tapping it. In a red flash, it entered the ball. Cresent grinned upon hearing the 'click'. She turned to Umbreon excitedly.
"Isn't it amazing Umbreon? We got a new friend!" Umbreon nodded. It was still cautious, but was happy for her. "Congrats little sis." Janus said with a grin.
Cresent was snapped out of her thoughts by Angel, her Absol. She gently stroked her head. "Sorry Angel, was reminiscing about when we first met." Angel looked at her curiously before licking her nose. "H-Hey! That tickles!" Cresent said with a giggle. A knock at the door caught both of their attention. "Come in!" Cresent called out. The door opened to reveal Collin. "Sorry to bother you, but dinner is ready." He said with a smile. Cresent nodded as a pink blur ran by, closely followed by Yonny. 'Oh no.' Collin and Cresent thought simultaneously.
Collin quickly followed after Yonny. "MAPLE!" Collin called out. Both Cresent and Angel looked at each other and giggled. "Sounds like Maple took Yonny's maple syrup flavored cookies again." Cresent said with a laugh. "Sol!" Absol agreed with a smile.
