Summary:

When A 15 year old girl gets forced to share a cell with the infamous Hannibal Lecter

Work Text:

A 15 year old girl who has recently been arrested and charged for murder.
Baltimore has no more rooms left in the mental hospital so she has to share a room with non other then the Chesapeake ripper
The guards grab ok the girls handcuffs and throw her into the cell and she lands face first.
The guards flip her over take of handcuffs and leave the room.

The killer is intrigued by the 15 year old, but he is confused by her age. She doesn't seem like someone who would commit murder, she seems very innocent. But then again, he is the chesapeake ripper, and he has killed many who are innocent. The girl looks very frightened and is still in pain from being dropped on her face. She is looking for a way out of this situation. The girl stays lying on the floor looking up at the ceiling

The chesapeake ripper sits down near the girl, and speaks to her softly. "Hello there my dear. I see you are still recovering from the guards little 'accident'." He chuckles in a low, dark tone. "What is your name?"

The girl slowly sits up holding her head in pain and looks at the ripper. The chesapeake ripper grins, revealing his sharp teeth, and stands up. "Is my dear still not ready to speak?" He stares down on her with a dark presence. "You can talk to me, my dear. I am not here to harm you."

"says the cannibalistic serial killer" the girl spat at him.

The chesapeake ripper laughs a little. "So you know about some of my...past exploits then? This is good." he leans in close, and lowers his voice to a whisper. "There are no secrets here my dear, you are safe."

"yeah totally feel safe right now" the girl replies sarcastically.

The chesapeake ripper leans back and looks down on her, his eyes almost piercing her soul. "So, child, what is your name?"

"go suck my dick" She sits up a little more recovered from being shoved ok the floor.

The chesapeake ripper is taken off guard by her sudden aggression. He laughs quietly and takes a few steps closer. "Now child, that is no way to speak to a man. Why don't you try and be a little nicer." He stands still and stares at her, with a smirk on his face.

"Why ? No point everyone here already sees me as a nothing as only a criminal so no name is needed" She said.

The chesapeake ripper stays still and smiles .He takes a seat back down on the floor and looks at her again. "Why don't you give me your name so that I can call you something other than child?"

"just continue with child I don't give a fuck" She stands up walking to one of the corners and sits down.

The chesapeake ripper shrugs. "Very well child. I must admit I am curious to know why a 15 year old girl such as yourself is in a mental hospital, facing a charge of murder." He leans back a bit. "Would you mind telling me your version of events?"

"Actually I do mind".

The chesapeake ripper sighs, obviously annoyed that the girl is resisting his questions. "You will talk child. I have ways of making you speak." He stands back up and walks towards her.

" Listen big creepy serial killer I know you used to be a psychologist but your not anymore" She leans back against the wall.

The chesapeake ripper laughs, "I like your spirit. You remind me of someone." He leans even closer to study her face. "Yes, you're right. I am no longer a psychologist, but you know that I am still a man who knows just how to work the human mind."

She Claps "good for you?"

The chesapeake ripper remains silent for a moment, then speaks again. "How long do you think it would take a man like me to break you child?" He asks, his gaze becoming slightly darker.

"I'm not broke. I'm a disco ball" she replied monotone

That response throws the chesapeake ripper off a bit. He tilts his head in confusion. "Huh?" he asks. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Who knows" she said ..."I'm bored"

The chesapeake ripper stares at her blankly, not understanding what she means by saying she is a "disco ball". He decides to try to change the subject. "So, how many people did you kill?" he asks, his eyes still glued to her. "Why are you really in this mental hospital?"

"cause I felt like it" ..."kidding"

The chesapeake ripper just stared at her for a moment. "Are you...trying to make light of the fact that you are a murderer child?" he asks, sounding very serious. "Do you know what you did?"

"not really"

"Not really!?" the chesapeake ripper exclaims. "How can you just not know or care why you are in this mental hospital facing murder charges?" He stands up and walks near her again. "Don't you care?!" he questions.

"not really I mean here I have food , water , education, a bed and someone to talk to so I'm good" tilts head back .

The chesapeake ripper gives her a confused look. "How can you be okay with being arrested for murder?" he asks, leaning even closer. "Aren't you worried about what will happen? Who do you have to support you on the outside?"

"ha that's a good joke who do I have supporting me haha" she laughed.

The chesapeake ripper stares at her, trying to decipher what she is insinuating. "My dear, are you alone? Is there no one who loves you?" he asks softly, his head tilting slightly to the side.

"surprise" jaz hands.

The chesapeake ripper seems confused by her strange behaviour. "What...are you doing?" he asks, looking at her hands.

"coping with the fact I'm alone in the world by using humour as a way to escape the harsh reality of the situation"

The chesapeake ripper smiles a little and nods. "I can understand that child, humour is a good way to cope when dealing with such a painful truth. It is good that you are finding ways to escape the weight of reality. I am curious though, is there really nobody at all who loves you, not even a single person?"

"Ha that's cute"

The chesapeake ripper chuckles, "Is that a no then? Is there really nobody out there who loves you, not a mother, a father, a brother or sister, a friend, an aunt, an uncle?"

"dead , killed , have none , have none , nope , left ,dead" She said like it was a song of her life.

The chesapeake ripper feels a wave of sadness come over him as he processes what the girl is telling him. "You are truly alone child. You are telling the truth about all of those people you've mentioned?"

"Yep" popping the p. "So is there a way I can kill myself.in here or not"

The chesapeake ripper is shocked into silence by the girl's blunt question. He stares at her with confusion and concern. After a moment, he replies, "child, why in the world would you want to kill yourself? You are only fifteen, your whole life is ahead of you! You can turn things around, you can make things better!"

"my whole life ahead of me ... I'm in jail for murder"

"My dear, you may be in jail, but you are being well treated and are safe from the outside world. I can tell that you have suffered greatly in your short life, and you have seen things no fifteen year old should see. But you can still move forward, and if you work hard to get yourself out of this place, you can turn things around and rebuild your life. " The chesapeake ripper says in an attempt to reassure the girl.

"well treated? I got thrown to the floor face. First"

"Well, yes that was a bit unnecessary I admit, but you are otherwise well looked after my dear. You have food to eat, and a comfortable place to sleep. You are safe here. You have a chance to receive rehabilitation and help. You have a chance to turn your life around."

"ah spoken like a true shrink "

The chesapeake ripper chuckles. "Perhaps you are right, I still remember a few tricks from my days of being a therapist after all." He sits down on the floor again, looking at the girl. "There is no reason for you to throw your life away child. Look at where you are, you are safe here."

"I feel totally safe" says sarcastically

The chesapeake ripper smiles, "Come on, what's with the sarcasm? You do not have to hide your feelings with me my dear." He leans in closer. "Can I ask you something child?"

"You just did"

"Very true, very true." The chesapeake ripper chuckles. "May I ask another question child?" he asks again.

"You just did"

The chesapeake looks annoyed for a moment, and rolls his eyes. "Why are you so reluctant to talk to me child? You will be staying here, and I will be talking to you quite a lot during your time here. Why not get to know me?" he asks calmly.

There is a beat of silence, as the girl remains silent. She seems to be sizing up the chesapeake ripper. Finally, she looks back at him and says, "Fine, ask whatever you like." She speaks in a monotone voice, not seeming to care one way or another whether he continues asking her questions. They exchange a long stare, and the chesapeake ripper decides to ask another question. "Do you suffer from many mental illnesses child?" he asks, wanting to know about the girl's mental health history.

"never been diagnosed with anything"

The chesapeake ripper raises an eyebrow. "You have not been diagnosed with anything, but that doesn't mean you aren't suffering from a mental illness. I am not a psychologist anymore my dear, but I can tell just by talking with you that you are not well. You are clearly struggling with something. I know how you feel, I know that you are in pain. You don't have to deny it child."

"your a ex psychiatrist not a psychiatrist"

The chesapeake ripper laughs a little. "True, but that doesn't mean I still don't have some knowledge when it comes to mental illnesses. My dear, you have been through a lot in your life, especially for a girl as young as yourself. How can you be so sure that you are not struggling with anything?"

"fuck of"

The chesapeake ripper chuckles again. "My dear, why so aggressive? You need to face your problems head on, if you want to overcome them. You can't run from them forever." he leans in close again. "Your problems will not go away if you just ignore them and pretend they don't exist. What happened to you? What made you this way?"

"You don't have to keep it all inside child. If you don't speak up, how will anyone know what's going on? Keeping your secrets to yourself isn't good for you. You need to get it off your chest, you need to tell someone." The chesapeake ripper pauses for a moment. "I don't understand why you are trying so hard to protect your secret. What could you possibly be hiding that you don't want anyone to know."

The chesapeake ripper smiles. " a psychiatric evaluation might be helpful in your situation child. It could help us learn more about you, why you are so violent, and why you committed murder. Who knows, maybe it could even help us discover what your secret is, why you are so reluctant to speak about it." He pauses, then continues, "What do you think about this idea? Would you be up for a psychiatric evaluation?"

"your not a psychiatrist anymore but fuck it sure"

"I thought you didn't trust me child?" the chesapeake ripper says with a smirk. "I'm glad to see that you have changed your mind." He leans back and crosses his legs. "A psychiatric evaluation will definitely be beneficial to both myself in my attempts to understand your mind, and for you to receive the treatment you need to overcome your difficulties."

"If this is what you want, I will do a psychiatric evaluation on you. But in return for my help, I want your complete honesty. No more lying or being aggressive. Do you agree to these terms?" the chesapeake ripper asks, looking directly at the 15 year old girl. She nods.
