Chapter Text
"Mikey, please don’t stop," Raph exclaimed. Donnie and Raph placed a hand on each of Mikey’s shoulders. They watch as Mikey's glow brightens as his brothers lend him their ninpo.
Mikey knew that something was happening to his hands and that it was probably going to hurt but he didn't care. He felt him. He could feel that Leo was still alive in that… prison.
Mikey felt the atmosphere crack, it wasn't a big crack. He gasped as he felt his grip on the fabric of reality starts to slip. He was too weak. A small hole opened and he was only able to get a glimpse inside before he lost hold.
He collapsed on the ground on all fours, out of breath sobbing. “I can’t do it, he's trapped, I’m sorry,” Mikey screamed and wailed.
Donnie seemed distracted while Raph was focused on trying to comfort Mikey.
“What… What is that,” Donnie whispered almost an aw.
Mikey looked up towards Donnie. Donnie had this distraught and terrified expression.
Raph took notice that Mikey was calming down and followed his line of sight.
It was blue, almost like fire, hovering just above the ground. All of them stared at it like it would disappear if they looked away, but it didn’t.
Mikey got up and slowly walked towards it, he whispered. “It looks like it’s trying to look around”
All of a sudden, it glowed brightly, almost like it had been startled. Mikey whispered to Donnie, “Hey, Donnie” before being interrupted “Already on it."
Donnie pulled his goggles to his face and froze. He whispered back, “Th-that’s Leo's soul." they all stared in awe. Raph moved forward. “Hey bud, you there?" he could feel that the soul had a presence. Leo’s soul glowed in response.
“Hey, Mikey,” Raph spoke. The soul started to dim. Mikey ran towards the soul, scooping it up and trying to protect it. “What do I do!?” he yelled in a panic. “Donnie! Please help! I think his soul is hurt.” Donnie stammered "I…I don’t know what to do. I…I think we need to contact Draxum."
As the Kraang was mercilessly pummeling Leo into the surface of a decrepit technodrome.
He felt something change. Something so warm and comforting. It felt like he was cradled in the arms of his little brother. Like nothing could hurt him anymore. He has no idea what’s happening but he just knows it's Mikey. Leo felt so warm, like cuddling in the middle of winter sipping hot cocoa by the fire.
Leo felt reassured, he knew he was safe with this feeling. But why couldn’t he open his eyes? I'm so tired. He had this gut feeling, that he was somewhere unsafe. That gravity worked and wasn't wacky anymore. He’d been in the prison dimension for a couple of months mostly floatin. Leo knew that he wasn't in the prison dimension from the way his body was being pressed to the ground. The feeling of rock and broken asphalt beneath his fingertips and the smell of smoke and copper. He needed to open his eyes.
When he pried open his eyes and scanned around, all he could see were red dust clouds. That is not New York. It felt weird. “What is this place? Is this where Casey Junior came from?” It can’t be. He told me everything was gone. That all that was left was a wasteland…
There were some buildings, and he could see stores that were still standing. Could there be food in there? “Should I grab some?" He wasn’t too sure so he just went exploring instead.
Leo stopped by a clothing shop and shivered. He decided it would be a good idea to find something to keep him warm. And maybe something to keep stuff in, like a bag.
He wandered for a while, finding places that he can go into later he has no idea why he feels like he’s being watched. He thought that there would be more humans running around but there isn’t he wonders what year he’s in.
Well, wandering around, he finds a cute small clothes shop that in the corner of it has hiking bags “kind of a weird store don’t you think” he mumbles to himself.
He puts on a red shirt with gray pants and a backpack that fits a lot of stuff. He grabs one extra pair of clothes just in case. He finds a jacket and a scarf. The jacket is Bluewell. The scarf is green. He kind a like the outfit it wasn’t as stylish as he thought it was going to be.
Well, as stylish as the apocalypse is going to be “he chuckled to himself”. All of the sudden he was losing consciousness, “what the… what is happening” he mumbled. “At least i’m hidden hehe”. Then it went black.
