All the people who keep going on about the #wayneadoptions keep calling them publicity stunts like they know what they're talking about. Bruce Wayne has enough publicity as it is, and if you knew anything about him you'd realise that it was more than just #waynecharitycases.

Firstly we have Dick Grayson, taken in when he was 8 and Bruce was 21. He was born to famous acrobats in Haly's Circus, the Flying Graysons, travelling and performing with them for his early years. But when the circus came to Gotham, the ringleader refused to pay a gang money, and Tony Zucco ended up killing them, cutting the rope and letting them fall to their deaths mid-performance. Wayne, who was at the show, sympathized with the kid because of his own parent's deaths and adopted him. (2/?)

Next was Jason Todd. Born in Gotham's very own Crime Alley, his mother was an addict and his father was an abusive criminal. By age 12, his mother had overdosed and his father was in jail, forcing him to live on the streets. Wayne actually met the kid when he found him trying to jack his tires and it spiralled from there. Jason was also thought to be dead for a few years there, but he was actually living with amnesia in England - see here to read more about it. (3/?)

Then we have Timothy Drake Wayne. His family was well off before he was adopted, but neglectful. His mother was killed during an overseas hostage situation and his father put into a coma, and Wayne, as a family friend and neighbour, took the kid in. His Father made a recovery and custody was returned to him, but when Captain Boomerang later killed Jack Drake during a robbery, Wayne adopted Tim Drake. (4/?)

Next we have Cass Wayne. Not much is known about her own upbringing, except that it was not pleasant and that she was presumably raised in China with her mother. When her mother died, she decided to move to Gotham, where she met Wayne during an armed robbery and was eventually adopted. (5/?)

Then we have Damian Wayne, the only biological child of Bruce Wayne. His mother is from one fling or another, and their existence was kept secret from Wayne till Damian was 10. He was raised in the Middle East by their mother, but apparently his own upbringing wasn't quite so pleasant either, with rumours that their mother was a part of a dangerous cult. Eventually we can assume she wanted to get them to safety, so she sent them to live with Wayne instead. (6/?)

And lastly, we have the newest addition, Duke Thomas. Duke was raised in the Gotham Narrows by his parents, but when they fell prey to one of Joker's many plots, ending up in comas, Bruce Wayne reached out and offered to look after him. He is now a ward of Bruce Wayne's and the newest addition to Wayne's expansive list of children. (7/7)

You should educate yourself before making comments like this. Bruce Wayne is the biggest donor to Gotham's infrastructure and economy. He could be one of the richest people on the planet, but instead he spends his money on Gotham, donating to disaster relief to rebuild houses and businesses, pays for free educations for those who can't afford it, and donates to dozens of charities worldwide, as well as offering well-paid positions to people in Gotham to lower poverty. Read more about it here but he is much more than just some rich white man.
