Konbini boy

Summary:

“Is that all?” the omega asked, ringing up the neatly wrapped ham sandwich.

“No”

“ oh? Do you need something from behind the counter fushiguro?--

“Your number, I wanna leave the store with it”

The realization hit him.

He had just used one of Gojos corny ass pick-up lines on the omega he had a big, enormous, giant crush on.

Fuck.

But the cashier was blushing though…..

Chapter 1: White ham sandwich

Chapter Text

____________________________

April 20th:

“Megumi!”

Nobara, his teammate who had seen him through life and death, both alphas now in their second year of jujutsu high.

Although megumi would never admit it, he actually cared about Nobara–believe it or not. The two had grown as close friends, and Megumi confided in the female for a lot of advice, as the box-dye ginger had a knack for things that Megumi never had.

“Kugisaki” Megumi hummed back.

“Still not calling me by my first name?” The ginger leaned in to pull at Megumi's pale ear with her long, acrylic, manicured nails–paid for via gojo-senseis card. “ Damn prime-alpha brat, always thinkin yur the shit” she huffed, half joking.

It was the platonic love language they had developed.

“I don't–” with the flick of her hand, she parted megumis spiked up hair, rubbing it fondly, almost in a maternal-like way. Those lip-glossed lips parted in a smile to reveal a pair of whitened teeth, canine alpha markers shining in the light, the markers she had used to mark her girlfriend maki almost a year ago.

“You owe me” Nobara paused to dig out a small pink coin purse from her bag, throwing it in Megumi's hand the instant she dug it out of her bra, “get me a…..hmmmmm”

Nobara paused to think, shoes tapping the pebble encrusted floor in a rhythmless rhythm of confliction.

“ugh , it's warm” Megumi grimaces, palms grasping at the warm coin purse fabric.

“Yeah you're welcome for that, get me…. A ham sandwich! Has to be on white bread”

“And why should I?” Megumi groaned “ its way too hot and this place is isolated in the-

The box-dyed ginger pulled out her hammer, which immediately silenced Megumi, a barely audible gulp of fear echoing throughout the warm moist spring atmosphere.

It was too hot, too humid, too early to deal with Nobaras alphan shit rage.

He had seen his classmates fall victim to that metal hammer, curses never spared as victims too. 17 was too young to die, even as a sorcerer, Megumi at least wanted to make it to 18.

Megumi groaned, shoving the tiny coin purse in his pocket, walking away with a grumble of annoyance as Nobara evilly cackles in the background like the damn witch she is.

And like the gracious person he was, Megumi opens his phone to find the nearest konbini.

“Have fun!” Megumi hears the familiar clicking sound of a mobile camera, unmistakable as Nobaras phone camera, “Errand boy”

And minutes later he found himself stumbling into a tiny konbini about a 10 minute walk away, almost hidden away by the large green shrubs and trees.

Megumi had never seen it, honestly, he would have missed it if it wasn't for the illuminating lights flashing red, blue and white on the entrance.

“Itadori konbini” it read in its kanji , in cheap dazzling lights and patriotic colors.
For some reason, Megumi thinks it's a rather charming name.

Despite the tacky decoration and cute flowers decorating the outside.

He pushes the creaky door open, probably years due of a paint job and replacement, and a cute little bell chimes, echoing throughout the small establishment.

It smells like clean, the cleaning products the employee probably so dutifully cleaned the store with. The store is clean, surprising due to the raggedy appearance of the outside.

Oh well, never Judge a book by its cover.

The alphas nostrils flare up, a faint warm peachy smell invades his nose ever so slightly.

Megumi loves it.

“Oh! I’ll be there with you in a second” a soft voice calls from the room in the back.

Usually Megumi would be annoyed, but for some reason he Isn't.

There’s an illuminated wall with a selection of to-go food; onigiri, sandwiches, cookies and more. All seemed to be hand wrapped in the same, clear plastic vinyl. All of them are sealed with a cute pink flower sticker, which is what Megumi presumes is a cherry blossom.

The lanky boy leans down to grab a sandwich, all of them are halved. And even after more than a year of working and knowing Nobara closely, he’s still not sure whether Nobara would want a full sandwich, or a half sandwich.

Megumi can already predict how it’s gonna turn out.

He’ll obliviously buy a half of a sandwich and Nobara will pull at his ear and hiss,

“Why’d you get me a half of a sandwich you dumbass?! You think I’m fat or something huh?!”

Or; he’ll buy 2 halves of a sandwich and she’ll go into a fit of rage.

“Hah!? You think I’m that fat, I can’t eat all of this!”

Megumi shudders, a wave of fear flashing over him, oh well. His face was sealed as soon as he met Nobara.

Women were already difficult enough, alpha women were a whole other level of trouble.

Megumi grabs 2 halves in case. If Nobara doesn't want the other one, he can have the other one as a snack.

Megumi usually doesn't care for food like this….but this looks appetizing.

The honey ham and fresh-cut veggies are sandwiched in between 2 loaves of white milk. bread that Megumi can smell through the plastic.

700 yen, it’s a bit pricey for a sandwich, let alone half of one, but Megumi doesn't mind, it saves him the trip of finding another store that sells ham sandwiches.

The soft pitter patter of footsteps echo throughout the shoebox sized establishment.

“ ah, sorry for the wait!” A soft voice calls out, the clapping sound of their hands following them as they dust their hands off.

That warm peach smell invades the room once again. And megumi's face flushes a bright hot red. Alpha instincts flaring up.

The alpha looks up and immediately, he’s fallen hard, he’s irrevocably in love.

He’s met with the sight of a pretty omega, which is strange for Megumi, because he’s never found anyone attractive.

For years, he thought something was wrong with him. Alphas were supposed to fall in love omega after omega as the seasons changed. And especially as a prime alpha, society found it weird, the people found it weird.

Prime alphas were the peak of peak, alphas who were in top condition, the best of the best. Alphas that had insatiable libidos and ruts, alphas that had immeasurable strength, alphas that had inconsolable emotions, alphas with pheromones that rivaled and overpowered the best toxic gasses on the illegal markets.

Sure, he admits the people around him were pretty. Like Nobara, and as much as he hated to admit it, gojo. But he never really found them attractive, which was weird, weirder because he was a prime alpha. For the 17 years of his life, Megumi and the people around him thought that there was something wrong with him, a deformity, the black sheep in a herd of white ones.

Even the doctor who diagnosed him as a prime alpha was surprised.

But the omega—the deity of perfection and beauty standing right in front of him.

Megumi finds him pretty, way more than pretty, but his stupid alpha mind can’t find the words to describe it.

The sight of sunkissed tanned skin greets him; all a canvas for the small button nose similar to that of a rabbit, those plump pink heart-shaped lips, round doe eyes that have whispers of gold in pools of honey brown. And oh god, his hair is pink, like a cute little bouquet of flowers.

The missing puzzle pieces of his life find eachother and click together.

Oh god, Megumi has already face-planted head first into the concrete floor of love at first sight.

Megumis pretty sure, no is sure, that it’s illegal to jump up over that counter like a feral dog to bite the bare neck. But for some reason, he can’t stop himself from wanting to.

“Um, are you okay sir?”

The soft voice breaks him out of his minute long love trance.

“Megumi, Megumi Fushiguro” he corrects the omega, so desperate to hear his name come out those pretty pink lips.

He giggles, and Megumi doesn't even know how, but he falls even harder in love.

“Okay Fushiguro” Megumis a bit unreasonably disappointed that he didn’t use his first name, but it’s okay, it still makes Megumi hold back a purr of delight.

“ sorry, I’ve been feeling under the weather” Megumi looks scratches his neck, hoping, praying to god that he’s not blushing, looking like the reincarnation of a tomato with his pale skin.

“Oh! It is allergy season!” The country bumpkin omega hums with his cute country accent , ringing up the 2 sandwiches. Grabbing a bottle of poccari sweat from the mini fridge placed next to the cash register.

“This is on the house, Megumi”

The alpha's heart stops. His name has never sounded prettier.

“Thank you for making me laugh, it’s been really slow the past couple of weeks. I bake all the bread and stuff myself so it makes me sad when business is slow” the omega Hums, packing the items in a tiny plastic bag, and Megumi is immediately saddened.

His omega was struggling despite his hard work.

Wait, did Megumi just refer to the cashier as his omega?

Stupid alphan instincts, but for some reason, he doesn't mind—no, he’s happy with the thought of this cute stranger being his omega.

“Thank you…..” the alphas eyes scan down to the flour-covered shirt that the omega dawns. Searching for a name-tag.

Itadori yuuji.

Fuck, his name is as pretty as him.

“Yuuji” unbeknownst to Megumi, a faint blush paints yuuji's cheeks.

Megumis pretty sure—no, is sure that if the omega asked him to slaughter a thousand innocent man, he would start the request in an instant with no care in the world for the consequences.

This was dangerous, Megumi feels his canine teeth aching.

The cashier hands him his bag, and those soft hands touch his palms quickly.

It ticked, tickled his heart

As the alpha walks out the door, he hears the bell of the door ring. And then he hears yuujis voice,

“Feel better Megumi! I hope you come back soon!”

Megumi leaves the store with a soft smile on his face, and a racing heartbeat.

He’s definitely going to visit this konbini again.

And maybe bring a gift along with him.

April 30th:

“Hey, gojo-sensei” Megumi mumbled out, caressing the cap of the poccari sweat that dangled on his neck.

In a moment of love (or desperation and stupidity), he had stolen a jewelry chain from Nobara and punched a hole into the cap.

Others thought it was tacky and ugly, but Megumi thought it was the most precious thing in the world.

Love blinded people, especially dumb prime alphas helplessly in love.

“Meguminnn!” Satoru ran up to him, and bent down to rub his cheek against his pale student's cheek.

Megumi groaned.

As much as he disliked the older alphas personality, he did have a special place in his black little heart for him.

Satoru had raised him, a reasonable price for slaughtering his wandering bum father. And as much as he hated to admit it; Megumi did see the older alpha as a parental figure.

They both were prime alphas, and gojo answered the embarrassing questions that a quick google didn’t answer. Prime alphas were so rare anyway.

“Give me an allowance” Megumi grumbled, straight to the point, pushing the teacher off him.

Megumi wasn’t dirt poor like his bum father, but he wasn’t swimming in money either, but Satoru certainly was.

Megumi was never materialistic, only spending his mission money on the bare minimum and the rare luxury once in a while. But, the thought of yuuji reviving something expensive from Megumi made his heart flutter and skip a beat.

What would he say? Would he blush? Would he smile?

He needs yuuji so bad, his life depends on it, it’s not even funny anymore.

“Oh?” Satoru pouted, “ Is the money from missions not enough?” Satoru paused to pinch his cheeks, “you selfish boy”

“ I want to buy something” Megumi averts his gaze and looks away in embarrassment, “ for someone”

The hot pink blush invading his pale skin certainly doesn't go unnoticed by Satoru.

“Oh?” Satoru grins “ MEGUMIIII! My Megumi is in love-

“Shut up old man!” Megumi slaps his hand over satorus yapping mouth. He certainly does not need Nobara and all of jujutsu high to hear about his newly flourished love life.

“ Tell me something about them” Satoru plucks his wallet out from his pants pocket, “ each thing you tell me is a good 10000 yen!”

Megumi scowls, sometimes he forgets how idiotic his mentor is.

“ he’s…cute” that’s all Megumi can muster, because his dumb alpha hormone riddled mind is too lost fantasizing and visualizing every pretty thing about yuuji.

“So a he! Continue?” Satoru brings out a hefty 10000 yen and slaps it onto the table

Megumi looks at satorus curious, dumbass dunce face. And his love trance is broken.

Gojo always ruined everything.

“ do I have to do this?” Megumi groans. And Satoru just laughs, walking over to Megumi's twin-sized bed, patting the spot next to him. And Megumi reluctantly sits down with a groan.

“Do you like him?” Satoru asks

“ too much” Megumi buries his face in his hands, “I’m in love with him, so much that it hurts”

Satoru coos.

“What do you like about him”

“He’s pretty” Megumi immediately snaps back as if he’s offended with satorus whole being. “ he’s so so pretty, he’s nice, he’s….he’s perfect”

A ring of black engulfs his deep blue eyes, only a thin ring of deep sea blue remaining in his feline-like eyes, a crazed look as his alpha limits are pushed through the max.

Satoru chuckles, chuckles turn into wild laughter that echo and boom throughout the small dorm.

“What should I do gojo-sensei? '' Megumi mumbles.

“ use the Satoru Gojo charm! Ask for his number, use a pick-up line, buy him something nice!”

Satoru digs out his card from his black leather wallet and slaps it in Megumi's hand.

“ go get ‘em!”
