Chapter Text
Siffrin was back in the house.
After touching the tear, Siffrin looped back, and could choose to start in the house.
It was a painless way to loop, too!
And... all of a sudden, everything clicked into place for Siffrin. And...
"Oh stars that's so EASY!"
Everyone else seemed startled, but Siffrin didn't pay attention to that.
He would thank Bonnie for knocking them into the tear if he felt like revealing he's got the power to undo their mistakes!
(Though he wouldn't want the kid to worry)
On the way back to the tear, one Sadness managed to block Siffrin, but everyone caught up to help them take it down.
And then, Siffrin touched the tear as fast as he could.
Surely enough, when Siffrin looped back, the Memory of Looping granted another 5 health points!
Unlike every other way he could think of looping, it was fast, efficient, and painless!
Yes! Finally! Siffrin could be the ally with by far the MOST endurance out of ANYONE!
Not bothering to hide their smile, Siffrin began the task of building up their health to unbeatable levels...
Loop was somewhat concerned.
16 loops in, and Siffrin still hasn't stopped?
What, was 50 HP too insignificant? It wasn't exactly a "small" health increase for someone with not even 500 health points.
But beyond that... Siffrin wasn't even trying to get further into the house!
You know... The only logical goal? The reason he entered to begin with?
And- oh okay that was a 17th.
Loop had nothing better to do, other than watch Siffrin speedrun their way to the nearest tear again.
It wasn't exactly a quick walk, either! There were lots of Sadnesses that could block the path and the nearest tear was quite a few rooms away from where Siffrin began their loops.
One time, Siffrin forgot to hit the switch in the pillar and died sooner, but luckily thought of that as a mistake, one he was not interested in repeating.
So Siffrin wasn't yet willing to inflict boulder-crushing pain on themselves repeatedly just to loop faster. That was good.
Nevertheless, Siffrin touched the tear once more, and Loop figured they could be watching this for a while yet.
Because Siffrin clearly wasn't satisfied with 18 loops increasing their HP by a "measly" 90 points!
Yet to their surprise, when Siffrin reached the tear, he mumbled aloud "mmm, it's taking too long..."
And to their relief, Siffrin began exploring the house normally again!
Loop watched as Siffrin began to make progress once more.
The first floor wasn't too complicated, there wasn't any need to backtrack or anything.
And they beat the big Sadness guarding the way to the second floor, too!
But then... he saw it.
After the snack break, Siffrin went upstairs to notice... another tear.
It was just up the stairs and to their right.
Siffrin walked downstairs to that strange light. Then back up.
And mumbled "Does this mean...?"
And Loop instantly realized what Siffrin was pondering.
Surely enough, Siffrin touched the tear, looped back to the second floor, and looked back upstairs...
Loop could tell what came next. They didn't need to see Siffrin's growing smile, or feel their overwhelming excitement.
With a cry of "YES!" Siffrin began sprinting towards the tear once more.
...And Loop knew they would be repeating that for significantly more loops than the first batch.
Once more, Loop noted that this all started because they told Siffrin that equipping the Memory of Looping gave +5HP per loop...
