Summary
His foot brushes against the rubble of the destroyed building. Even now, he can feel and hear the anguish that settles over this place. Wisps of colors led by white centerpieces of energy fly across his field of vision, dancing. Pyreflies. The old Johnny Cage would have thought the display beautiful once, but now he knows otherwise. This place is teeming with death.
His heart aches. How could he break down? Not while this wonderful man still shines so brightly with hope, even after everything that’s happened. He walks close to Kenshi, placing a hand on his shoulder in a show of comfort. Kenshi rests his head against his hand, closing his eyes. After a few moments of that quick intimacy, the others looking with softness at Kenshi getting some sort of happiness in this long and arduous journey, Johnny sits beside him, interlocking arms, staring at the fire.
