They say curiosity killed the cat.
Or in this case, drowned the mothling as Vena, left alone by Ethan for a SECOND, waddled towards her Daddy's big shark tank and found a way up to the top hatch.
In a paralyzed state, Ethan watched in HORROR as his boss's precious baby girl, his princess, opened the lid and looked into the tank where the HUGE robotic Megalodon swam calmly in his tank.
She paddled the water gently then squeaked when it gained a response from the mechanical beast.
Ethan without another heartbeat passed tore after the baby only to watch as she tettered on the top of the tank then fell face first into the water where the monster lived.
With an almost inhuman scream, Ethan raced for the top of the tank and called for the shark but it was dead set on what had just fallen into its tank.
It was small but alive, it would do~
However, as it neared the floundering form its third eye opened and it caught an image of the baby moth from outside its tank. The same one that smiled at him, patted his tank, and squeaked at him or clapped when he made bubbles in return for her sounds.
With mouth open wide already however, he scooped her up as she flailed in the cold waters and carefully closed his mouth.
He dispensed all water from inside his mouth before shining an eye/light into his mouth to find the baby was safe but soaked to the bone where he'd ‘swallowed’ her.
Outside the tank Ethan practically died.
He watched his life flash before his eyes, a life not so glamorous as the Vees but still a life!
Watched slowly as his boss's baby was SWALLOWED BY HIS SHARK!!
Then passed out, dead faint, unconscious to the whole of Hell.
An Extermination could be upon Hell and he'd never know.
Back with Shok.wav and Vena inside his mouth, the mechanical shark sent an urgent message to his owner Vox about his baby which within SECONDS not even of getting it, he was there, clawed hands to the tank, eyes streaming tears as he bleated out for his baby, for him to release his baby safe and sound, which in the end, Shock.wav did.
The Mothling was safe inside his mouth, wet but sage, but if he opened his mouth to free her, she'd be drowned for sure by the rush of the water-
He swam around with uncertainty, slowly back and forth, looking to Vox then to the top of his tank.
If Vox went up there, Shok.wav could take the blast of electricity, but the wet baby moth in his mouth!?
The shark swam slowly in a circle around the whole office, trying to figure out a means to give his owner his baby back when an idea struck.
He sent a message again to Vox, this time showing Valentino opening the lid and waiting to take Vena when his mouth opened.
Vox manned up a bit and nodded before zapping out of the office to fetch Valentino, Vena's other Dad.
Leaving Shok.wav to swim ever still slowly with Vena in his mouth, now well aware she was somewhere new and yet somewhere dangerous.
She only patted his tongue and teethe before seeing the eye/light and squeaking to it as it watched her.
“Vena! Kleine Motte!” Her Daddy's voice cried out joyfully when he heard her over the speaker implanted outside Shok.wavs tank.
He was often given classical music to sleep to but now the system was used to broadcast baby moth to parents as they arrived, all the Vees in horror at what predicament Vanessa Vox got herself into this time.
With careful hands, Valentino opened the hatch where Vena had fallen into and slapped the water for Shok.wav to take notice.
He did and followed the vibrations like a homing pigeon, slowly, carefully, as Vena sat on his tongue unaided by anything inside his mouth.
Upon reaching the top, with a breath like a dolphin spewed from his body, Shok.wav opened his mouth just enough for Vena to be taken out, returned to her rightful place, back outside the tank with her Vees.
“¡Mi polilla bebé!” Val cried out and held the baby moth close before forgoing being dry and clean as he found her soaking and shaking when she held onto him back.
Fluttering down to get beside his Vees, Val released the baby into Vox's arms and watched as Daddy and Daughter reunited with squeaks and cries of joy.
“Smart fish!” Velvette commented before patting Shock.wavs tank lightly.
The shark within bubbled in response to which Vena squeeeeaked back and murred before cuddling into her Daddy's safe hold and began to groom herself, her family all around her watching and doting on her as Shok.wav simply returned back to basics, swimming around slowly and waiting for his next meal.
