She ran down the hill.
The grimms roared, but those small and lowly subspecies were unable to catch up with her. The black smoke from the destruction of the giant evil spirit was blown away by the wind, and the remaining remnants of the army, like headless flies scurrying around the hill, were no longer a threat. But her steps are still so eager, so frightened.
As if the battle were not yet over.
You're finally free of him.
A small voice whispered in the back of her mind.
No more chasing, no more waking up at night, dreamed his shadow in the darkness.
Those nightmares ...... Blake stopped by a leafy fir tree and shook his head slightly.
You hate those nightmares, don't you?
There was the soft sound of a stone falling, and she turned her head to see him beneath the rocky cliffs.
He never really loved you, he just wanted to own you, like a hound.
He sat slumped, his head tilted to one side, blood seeping from the corner of his closed mouth.
And maybe ......He truly loved you, but does it matter now? Think about what happened yesterday. He treated your honor like it was nothing.
Blake approached slowly, crunching the leaves as they piled up. She thought he'd wake up at the sound, but he didn't.
He's trampled on conscience and morality, with nothing but noble vengeance in his sights, and his hands are full of the worst of the worst.
Adam just lay there, quiet and peaceful. By the average standards of the dying body (especially in the case of a warrior), he was as still and solemn as a stone statue.
Considering what he's done, it's a lucky ending, he should rot in the swamp.
Blake half crouched and stared at the face, happy, miserable, ecstatic, hateful, mesmerized by visions and deep nightmares. They'd had it all, from the finest of earthly minglings to the most unsavory of desertions and hunts. They have experienced what no livong soul has ever experienced - heaven and hell intertwined - a story that could be written a hundred times with but a sigh.
Think of what he has done, what he has done for me, for me, for him, for selfishness and for a mere smile. He did, yes, he did.
Taking off the blindfold, the three bloody letters SDC stabbed into her heart ...... She was the only one who knew what lay beneath the blindfold of this cold, sophisticated, white fang warrior, whom Adam had trusted, had confided in, one drunken night after returning from his victory. He had poured his heart out, she knew ...
... A hot tear fell on Adam's open hand, melted in the black blood, and slowly trickled down.
He is gone, and won't ever return.

She returned to the haven alone.
"Everyone's out looking for you."Qrow saw her and said, "Are you hurt? "
"No. ......"
"What about Adam? "
She looked up, a moonlit night like the one that used to spill over the creek.
"I buried him."
