Sunstreaker’s smile

Chapter 7: Courage

Chapter Text

Finding courage was harder than anticipated. Bluestreak was coming up with various ways to present Sunstreaker with the tickets. Thankfully, Spike had already given Bluestreak the tickets with a smile. Spike had wished Bluestreak good luck before leaving. Now, Bluestreak was pacing back and forth in his quarters. He bumped into the table, sending data pads and boxes onto the floor. Bluestreak picked up a data pad and realised it was empty.

“I could send him a note. And use a box to give him the tickets. It will be perfect.”

Bluestreak sat down on the couch and tried to write his note.

“Should I start with ' Hi ' or Hello. Or should I write to or dear” Bluestreak chattered, tapping his stylus against the edge of the data pad. Eventually, after many times rewriting, Bluestreak created the perfect note. It was simple and easy. Then he placed the ticket in the box along with some energon treats.

Bluestreak smiled as he exited his quarters, only to collide with Tracks. The box dropped to the floor.

“Watch where you are going.” Tracks snapped, then he checked his frame for any marks.

“What are you doing here, Tracks? Why would you be here?” Bluestreak rapidly asked, “Oh no! My box. What have I done?”

“Dropped it. You clumsy bot.” Tracks added. Bluestreak hastily picked up the box, with Tracks staring at him.

“You know, Blue. I’ve heard something about you.” Tracks started, only for Bluestreak to start chatting.

“What? What have you heard? Is it bad or good?”

“I heard a rumour that you like Sunstreaker”.

“No, I don’t,” Bluestreak protested, “He’s...... He’s”

“Out of your league,” Tracks looked directly at Bluestreak, “I’ll tell you this out of the goodness of my spark. Stay away from Sunstreaker. He is taken”.

Bluestreak gulped. Tracks looked quite intimidating.

“Wait... are you and he?”

“That is none of your business,” Tracks snapped, cutting Bluestreak off.

“Now, if you’ll excuse me. I have to go fix my finish again" Tracks walked off, leaving Bluestreak alone in the corridor. He sighed and walked to the twins’ quarters. Soon Bluestreak was standing outside of the right door. The twins’ names were next to it, along with a standard keypad and doorbell.

Bluestreak couldn’t decide whether to knock or ring the doorbell. The door slammed open, and Sideswipe stormed out. They collided, and once again, the box fell to the floor along with Bluestreak.

“Ow. That hurt. Why did you do that?” Bluestreak said.

Sideswipe ignored him, just as Sunstreaker yelled out, “Yeah, that’s right. YOU BASTARD”

“I wouldn’t go in there if I were you,” Sideswipe advised, not helping Bluestreak up.

“He’s in a right mood. AS USUAL,” Sideswipe screamed back.

“FRAG OFF,” Sunstreaker screamed.

“ARSEHOLE,” Sideswipe screamed back. Then the lock clicked.

“Bastard looked me out. Anyway, I’m leaving. Best of luck,” Sideswipe said. Then he turned and walked away. Bluestreak picked up the box and realised that dealing with Sunstreaker right now was probably not a good idea. Bluestreak placed the slightly damaged box near the door, and he left. Bluestreak didn’t see Sunstreaker open the door and grab the package.
