Guilty Pleasures

Summary:

“If you need us for anything, anything at all, you can use this number to reach us. Ok?”

Katsuki didn’t need anything from them.

-------------------

There are not nearly enough Aizawa and Mic adopt Bakugou fics so I've taken matters into my own hands.

Chapter 1: Day One

Chapter Text

It started with a week in the dorms. It was Easter break and everyone else had gone home, except for Katsuki. He didn't want to go home, nor did his parents want him there. Going home wasn't in the cards for him, not with his parents tied up in America and no real desire on either side for him to join them. With their reluctant approval and Aizawa's blessing, Katsuki found himself with the rare opportunity to stay put in the dorms for the duration of the break. He planned on training, trying out a few new recipes and watching as many movies as he wanted on the big TV in the common room. So far he had Alice in Wonderland, 10 Things I Hate About You, and maybe even a Tinkerbell marathon. It had been ages since he’d last watched them-

“Oh, good, you’re awake!”

Katsuki's heart jumped as he jolted upright, his senses suddenly alert. The voice of Present Mic, booming and energetic as always, caught him off guard. He blinked rapidly, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep as he registered the sight of his teacher standing in the doorway, framed by the soft glow of the hallway lights.

“Motherfucker! What the hell’s wrong with you?”

Present Mic's voice was far too upbeat and loud for the time of day, and Katsuki winced when he looked over. He wasn't wearing his hero suit but a sweatshirt with his hair tied back into a low bun instead of his typical gelled hair. Aizawa walked in behind him, looking just as tired as he normally did.

“Sorry kiddo! Didn't mean to scare ya!”

Katsuki sighed, “Didn’t scare me! Just wasn’t expecting you…”

“Sure,” Aizawa said.

Katsuki rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the grogginess that still clung to him like a stubborn shadow. "What's up?" he grumbled, his voice rough from sleep. “I thought I had this place to myself for two weeks.”

“You do.”

“Then why are you still here?”

“Cause we need to check in on you kid.”

“Why?”

“Safety,” Aizawa said, his head dropping down onto Mic’s shoulder. Katsuki paused, expecting Mic to shrug Aizawa off. Instead, he dropped his shoulder down to make it more comfortable for Aizawa and continued the conversation.

“Gotta make sure nothing happens to our favourite problem child, right Sho?”

“I want to go back to bed”

“Me too,” Katsuki agreed.

“We just have to make sure that you're still alive so we’ll be checking in on you every so often, alright?” Mic said.

“How often?”

“Once a day, is that ok with you?”

“Yeah sure I guess.” Katsuki didn’t like this. Aizawa and Mic were just going to show up every once in a while? He’d have to watch what he did until after they’d checked in for the day and then gone.

Aizawa raised his head, clearly wishing he was somewhere else. But Aizawa couldn’t fool him. He knew that the man was a big softie under all the grumpiness. He saw the way the man looked at the people he loved when he thought no one was looking. He looked at Mic like he could burn the whole world down and he would hand him the matches.

It was obvious that Aizawa and Mic were married to anyone with half a brain. Which meant only Katsuki, Momo and Shinsou had figured it out. Granted, Shinsou knew because he’d been adopted by the couple. It had admittedly taken Katsuki longer to work that one out. But Shinsou and Aizawa were identical, if not physically, then by the way they stood and the way that they acted.

Cut from the same cloth those two , Katsuki thought.

“So, still alive?”

“Obviously.”

“Do you need anything?” Mic’s voice was gentle, like he’d been awake for hours. No wonder Aizawa was so tired if his husband was getting out of bed at the ass crack of dawn every morning.

“Some peace and quiet would be great.”

“I’ll take that as a no.”

“…”

“Right, well, we’ll be off then.”

“Cool.”

“See you tomorrow, problem child,” Aizawa called out, already turning to leave.

Mic, however, paused before pulling out a pen from his jean pocket and scribbling something down on the pad of paper that rested on the countertop.

“If you need us for anything, anything at all, you can use this number to reach us. Ok?”

Katsuki reached out and took the paper. Mic’s handwriting was neat and easy to read although it leant slightly to the left. It was pretty.

“Thanks,” he replied.

“No problem kiddo.” Mic shrugged his shoulders and then they were gone.

Finally. He was alone at last. Thank goodness. Now he could get back to planning his holiday. What had he been thinking about? Oh right! Movie marathons, Tinkerbell, maybe How To Train Your Dragon? And definitely Tangled.

But he couldn’t stop thinking about Aizawa and Mic’s visit. His eyes slid over to the piece of paper on the counter.

“If you need us for anything, anything at all, you can use this number to reach us. Ok?”

Katsuki didn’t need anything from them.

It wasn’t like Katsuki  liked  having them around. That would be ridiculous. Katsuki didn’t care about anyone, everyone knew that. Hell, everyone in UA knew that! He didn’t get attached to anyone. Not since…

Anyway.

The rest of the day passed quickly. Katsuki made some spicy ramen that would have melted his classmates' faces off before stuffing his face with coffee jelly that normally would have already been stolen by Pikachu and Tapeface. He watched The Devil Wears Prada before changing and going to train. Before he knew it he had come back to the dorms, showered and was in bed.

It was strange to think that he would still be seeing Aizawa and Mic every day, though it was better than being on his own in the dorms he supposed.

Would it be weird to see them outside of class?

I’ll find out tomorrow I suppose , he thought before drifting off to sleep.
