Chapter Text
Luis was hiding inside the operating room, he was locked inside waiting for this thing to blow over. The room was dingy, the dim lights flickered making him even more uneasy. He was "Chief Physician", but in reality he was a Chaos Insurgent, a mole inside the foundation to retrieve intel.
"Luis to control, requesting extraction," he spoke quietly into his encrypted radio.
"Extraction team inbound in T-10 minutes, over," the operator on the other end said, eerily calm.
The lights continued to flicker, before they just cut. Luis punched the wall out of irritation, first there are dangerous anomalies running around this place and secondly he couldn't see jackshit. He looked around the room. In the middle was a blood stained operating table, with broken lights above it. In the corner of the room was a sink are some cabinets. Luis searched them, there were only painkillers and rubber gloves with some miscellaneous syringes. The final thing in the room was a few oxygen cylinders. Everything here was useless to him, so he sat against the wall and decided to wait for reinforcements. A few minutes had passed however it felt like eternity, when suddenly a man started talking over the PA system.
"Members of the terrorist organisation known as the "Chaos Insurgency" have made a presence on the outside sector of the site. All available combatants are requested to defend the site, all non-combatants are requested to hide until further notice. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter," the voice cut off, a sigh of relief rushed over Luis, he was safe.
On the outside sector, the Chaos Insurgency began unloading, while they were there to retrieve Luis, they also wanted some of the anomalies within the site. Helicopters and armoured vehicles were inbound, rushing to get into the site. Shawn Whitney was in charge of the extraction of Luis, they had worked together previously and were well acquainted.
A squad of Insurgents piled into one of the many elevators which led down into the facility, others stayed on the top level, fighting off personnel. Shawn managed to get inside the facility without much problem, the once bustling facility had become dark and desolate. Him and the team roamed the halls, making sure they were in the clear.
"Luis, where are you?" Whitney spoke into his radio.
"Operating Room-C in Infirmary 3 inside the Entrance Zone."
"10-4," Shawn turned to the rest of the team, "I'll find Garcia, continue scouting the vicinity before proceeding to Light Containment."
He went in search of the infirmary. While he was searching, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was feeling watched. He looked around, the only notable thing near him was an office with the corpse of a woman inside. Shawn approached cautiously, viewing the gory scene. There was a gun in her right hand and a note in the other. Her brains were splattered against the wall making Shawn feel uneasy. He picked up the note which read, "I'm sorry, this is my fault. Please... I wish I never gave her access... I just wanted a friend, someone to talk to and hang out with, I'm so selfish.". The whole thing made his face turn green, making him want to throw up, he went to look at who this was, her ID Card read: "Elaina Perry, Administrative Department".
Shawn's mood instantly fell after seeing this horrible display, "I'm sorry Elaina... You didn't deserve this..."
It made him forget about his mission and made him angry. He had to stop himself and reminded him that the foundation was the enemy. He sighed before proceeding through the site.
In the Light Containment Zone, the three Class-D roamed the halls aimlessly. They continued wandering, the only sound they could hear was their footsteps. They opened another door, a small stuffed bear was behind it.
"Awww, look, it's a 'lil bear!" D-14665 held her hand out to pet it, but D-14207 pulled her back, "What the fuck?!"
"Don't touch that thing, we don't know half the fucked up shit that's kept in here," he said, not in a angry way but a protective way.
"Whatever..." She grumbled.
During this conversation, the bear began climbing on D-15000's leg. When he shook it off, the bear became agitated. Suddenly, another bear emerged. This one was made out of scrap metal and seemed more aggressive. It immediately ripped through D-14207's pant leg, ripping a chunk of flesh off. They had no time to panic, they began running, however D-14207 lacked behind. While they continued running, he got farther and farther behind.
"Just go without me!" He yelled before turning to face the metal bear.
Once D-15000 and D-14665 had gotten far enough away, they took a break. Both of them sat against the wall.
"Well...th-that just happened..." D-15000 stuttered, still processing what just happened.
"Yeah...Life's cruel," D-14665 sighed, she seemed desensitised to D-14207's death.
They had to get up soon, before something or someone killed them. After a minute, they both got up and continued. Whilst walking, they passed a containment cell, "SCP-012". The automatic door was desperately trying to close, however a corpse's arm was jamming it. In the hand was a level-2 keycard which D-15000 grabbed.
"Alright, we got a keycard. Now lets get out of here," D-14665 seemed excited for once.
"N-No. We can't, they'll shoot us on sight once we exit, no way we'll make it off the premises alive..." D-15000 seemed hopeless, "We're doomed..."
He looked down, seemingly defeated. D-14665 put her hand on his shoulder, she was taller than him which was slightly intimidating.
She forced a smile, "Look, our situation may seem shitty right now but trust me, try look on the bright side... we can atleast access more places now."
He sighed, "Yeah I guess... Well I don't think we should stay in the same place for long."
They never knew they were being watched, the CCTV had been overtaken by 079. He had tabs on everything currently happening in the site.
"H@hahA, damn3d s0ul$. S0 losT lllots of pain!" 079 said this while watching a pair of scientists desperately try to get to a breach shelter.
"Cmon Yuri, we have no time to waste," Lauren sounded more agitated.
However her spirits were lifted when she saw a large gate with the words, "BREACH SHELTER" above it. She instantly ran to unlock it, however while the gates creaked open, she felt sick and her vision became hazy. She looked inside and saw the corpses of many staff members. There was no visible cause of death, not a drop of blood was in the room. Lauren's head began aching and her breath was short, before she suddenly collapsed.
"Dr. Bianchi!" Yuri called out before barely catching her.
A few minutes later, Lauren woke up on the floor with Yuri's labcoat covering her for warmth. Her head still hurt and her memory was fuzzy, but she was okay. She sat up and looked, she was in a janitorial closet, however Yuri was nowhere in sight.
She cried out, "Yuri?! YURI!?!"
