Chapter Text
Raven knew, like the others, that they needed to investigate this place. Something about it felt familiar, but she could put a finger on it, not just yet. She just hoped it wasn’t too late when it did. Finally understand this place.
Still using the mind speech, “of cause, Scylla”
With a smirk, “something about this place feels familiar, I don't like us splitting."
Everyone looked at her, they all felt the same, but they also knew they needed to find out what the hell this place was and to eliminate this connection to Raelle and Leo's condition.
“We know” they whispered through their link.
“But if we're doing this, we're doing it right” she says with a soft nod, “Spike, Scylla, head down, check the main area, check out those people. Make sure they are the enemy and then do your job.” Spike and Scylla both understand what Raven meant. This wasn’t the first mission they've been on together.
Raven then looked over to Wolfy, “we are going to check the upper level, we will make sure there is nothing up there that we might miss. Also we stop anyone else coming into this place”
Rachel, raised a brow and pointed to herself, “and me”
Raven fully smiled then, “be a spy”
Rachel is known for being one of the best fighters in recent history in hand to hand combat, but she had a secret, something that made her better. It was such a secret that only since the mind link that was connected to Raven, did someone finally learnt that Rachel was.
A spy.
With a small nod, she blocked out, everyone from her head only allowing Raven in her head, “don’t you ever look deeper in my head again, without permission, i will address this later ”
Clearing her voice, “I will do my job, Raven.” finally allowing the other back inside her mind, she looked at everyone, “if you wish, ask General Alder about me. I tell you, what she will say, ‘that above your pay’” she smiles in a way that made everyone flinch back only Scylla who was attached to Spike didn’t need nor want too.
“I say this, not ask what you don’t want to know….this is it”
And before Spike very eyes, she faded into the blackness of the basement of this tower. He blinked hard and learned forward. But nothing, his vampire eyes don’t catch anything.
“Strange” he whispered so faintly into the air.
He looked at them an in his mind, whispered to them, “i didn’t even see her go”
Raven smiled, “never mind her skills to disappear, we got our rule, let's move out. We got investigation to solve and people to free and save”
With that down and with a single, firm nod. Spike moved not as fast as Rachel but fast enough that their natural eyes couldn’t catch him.
Spike didn’t look behind him as silent as a desert. He landed in the shadow below. The slight bend of his knees taking the brunt of the land.
The whole while, Scylla strapped to his back. Hearing her deep breathing he stepped back further, and pressed Scylla to the wall. And shock his head once. Scylla tapped a few times, each one slightly different, code. ‘I understand, be more careful, i right here with you’
He nodded twice, before turning his head to the side, his red eyes clear as day. His hunting.
Tapped twice and one with her knuckle. As a message, ‘follow your hutch, i’m not going anywhere’.

Raelle's whole body tense up, her muscles locking in place. With a grunt of pain, her vision of the room was lost to whatever she has been fighting against this whole time.
******
Spike had been moving around a silent feather, his movements were constant, so when his whole body froze, Scylla noticed.
He connected to Scylla, ‘there that smell again. It’
“You know it”
“Yes”
“Then follow your gut, then spike”
Spike was a vampire.
That means that he can smell blood, more importantly he can identify his family blood with just a single drop. He knew two things, one Scylla wasn’t bleeding and two he knew who blood it was and it didn’t make sense. He took in a very deep breath taking an in-depth analysis.
With a frown that broke his smooth skin.
Breaking the stealth, they had up to now held, “i smell, Raelle’s blood” his voice was steel.
“Are you sure?” Scylla concernedly asked.
“yes”
Scylla weighs up her options, before quickly coming to a conclusion, she had to know was he was smelling. “Follow it. I tell the others”

Rachel pulled out her small knife from the now standing corpse from its neck. She didn’t care as it made a small thud on the floor. Her eyes were on the large screen. It was split up into about fifteen camara’s.
It was very clear what she was watching. Inside the labs, training areas and so much more. She knew this was a testing facility for something she could quite put a finger on, it.
There are a handful of ideas with the limited information she had, this could be a facility for building a new humanoid weapon, study of operations in the medical field or…..
An army.
