Work Text:
Nausea followed Rain the whole time they prepared to rescue Sky. He knew this was going to go wrong. They couldn't win against his family, they were going to fail and Sky would pay the price.
Rain checked his gun and looked over to Phayu, nerves flooding his veins as squads surrounded the building.
They couldn't win, they probably wouldn't even live to be tortured.
A moment passed in silence as they all made their way into position as quietly as possible.
Porsche and Pete confirmed positions. Weapons with hefted, nerves were steeled.
Kinn let off the first shot.
Bullets flew.

Rain paced the length of his bedroom as his phone rang and rang and rang. He wasn't sure this would work. He wasn't sure he'd be heard out or if the number would even connect. Rain felt like he wanted to cry.
The line crackled and- “Hello, you've reached the host of Collision. How may I be of service?" The Korean washed over him familiarly, the voice vaguely familiar.
Rain held his breath for just a moment. "Hello," he muttered lowly. Rain took a deep breath and said louder. "Hello, I wish to speak with the owner of this establishment."
A moment passed in awkward silence.
"...okay? Do you have an appointment?"
"Red lights," Rain said firmly praying to any god who’d listen that this would work. The emergency phrase was one he and Felix had used when they were children, surely, surely he still used it now, in one form or another.
"I'm... I'm sorry sir. What? I asked if you had an appointment," the voice reiterated, sounding tense.
"Red lights." Rain repeated confidently.
His phone beeped and the line was switched over. A new voice, this one tinged with an accent greeted Rain with a curt, "Who is this? And what do you want?"
Rain wasted no time. "Chan, this is Noeul, I need to speak with Felix urgently."
"Noeul, as in Lee Noeul? What business do you have with Felix?" Chan demanded.
Rain resisted the urge to throw something and stopped his pacing. "This is a family matter, Bang Chan. If at all possible I need you to connect me to Felix, or I'll fly from fucking Thailand to Korea right now and stake out your damn night club."
The man on the other end just sounded ticked off as he said, "Fine. Hold on."
Fucking "hold" music blared over the line and Rain took three deep breaths. Two full minutes later, the line reconnected.
"What do you think you're doing?" Felix asked, voice deep and accent strong.
"Our uncle." Rain seethed. "Fuck, Lix, it was him. All along. He kidnapped my- he kidnapped my friend, my best friend, my person, and- and now that friend is with- it doesn't even matter. I want him dead."
Few moments passed, understanding and reluctance passing between them in equal manner.
"You think you can make that happen, or are you risking my life just to blow off steam right now?" Felix asked.
Rain thought about it long and hard.
"I don't know," he settled on. "I'm just- I'm letting you know where this is going. Protect yourself, protect your family."
"Noeul," Felix hissed just as Rain went to end the call. "Don't you dare hang up on me. How bad is it? Do you need me to pull out and back you up?"
Right, because Felix was in Thailand with their family's goons. He was under their uncle's thumb. Because Lee Hyunho was a fucking prick. Because he could hold Felix over Rain's head and it would work, and he knew it, even if they'd both die claiming hatred.
"I don't think you can, Felix." Rain sighed shakily. "I think he knows."
"Do you think that would stop me?" Felix asked dangerously. "Noeul, cousin. Do you need me?"
Rain believed him.
Felix was the kind of person who would find strength to move mountains for the people he loved. He was the kind of person who would slit throats without a second thought, unless you were his.
And if you were lucky enough for Felix to consider you important, there was never a fear of being hung out to dry.
Rain curled an arm around himself. "I think we could use any help we could get." (Yes, yes I need you, I love you, please)
"Give me three hours. Are at Phayu's?" Felix asked.
"The compound. But I'll go back to his place right now. Just- yeah, thanks." Rain breathed.
"Mhm,"
__________
Six hours later Felix was yanking the door open, shoulder certainly dislocated and a gash flowing blood from his calf. Rain shot up from the couch and dragged him inside, locking the door behind himself. Phayu was sitting on the couch, but got up to grab a med kit from the kitchen.
Felix hardly stumbled despite his battered state, letting Rain sit him down on one of the dining room chairs as he clearly fought to keep his mind clear.
Rain had informed his boyfriend that they'd be expecting a guest, had explained that Felix was his cousin and had volunteered to back them up. Well, he would have Rain's back at least, probably didn't give a shit about anyone else, Rain kept that to himself, however. The important bit was that Felix would be tagging along and not to shoot him on sight.
They'd all be moving out in a little under twelve hours, and Rain swallowed his nerves. He wasn't some doe-eyed civilian, Rain wasn't about to let himself screw this up. It wasn't even an option. They were already screwed enough, not to mention how not calm and collected Prapai was.
Felix would be relying on Rain to communicate to him, on account of Felix not knowing any Thai. This wasn't a huge concern, despite its significance. Rain and Felix had enough practice communicating effectively around a language barrier
"Fuck shit fuck ow," Felix groaned as Rain reset his shoulder.
"You're fine." Rain sighed brushing a hand over his cousin's forehead. "Will you be okay soon?"
Rain accepted the med kit from Phayu with a grateful smile and started cleaning Felix up carefully.
"I'm fine." Felix echoed. "I've walked off worse."
"It'll hurt more in a few hours," Rain warned.
"Yeah yeah," Felix watched Rain wrap the gash on his leg. "I won't slow you down."
Rain smiled grimly.
What a good little soldier.
_______________
The building was nothing special.
It was a pale color. It was in the middle of the city. And it look just the all the others around them. It blended in.
But Sky was in there, somewhere. Sky was in there and now Rain could picture what he looked like. How much pain he was in. What they had done to him.
It buzzed under his skin painfully. It made him want to rip off his own skin and someone else's. He had to be patient. They couldn't risk mistakes.
Phayu had, of course, decided to stick near Rain for his own peace of mind, but Felix boldly joined a team further away. Though they had they comms, Felix couldn't talk to or understand anyone but Rain, so he didn't quite understand the logic behind his cousin's decision. Prapai was with his Uncle Kim, because someone needed to keep Prapai from doing something stupid.
Rain actually had no doubts that Prapai could be a hell of a force if he choose to be more involved with the mafia. He had the character for it, fiercely loyal and protective of his people, but capable of great viciousness to those who posed a threat. He was strong and smart and didn't hesitate.
He was also gone for Sky. Sky is Prapai's person, his favorite person, it was clear to see. And he knew just as intricately as Rain did what the inside of that room looked like. What they were doing to Sky. What they had already done.
And that made Prapai more than just dangerous, it made him volatile, explosive.
Rain had seen Prapai's reaction to Gun's attempts, he had grinned to himself as he listened to Phayu yank Prapai off the bastard. This was worse in every way.
Prapai had days to for his emotion to strain and his temper to fray.
He was a live wire.
Rain wondered if they couldn't just send Prapai in and let him rain carnage, but of course, this situation required at least some delicacy.
Rain wondered how many men from his own family were in there.
Kinn let off the first shot.
Bullets flew.
______________
Nothing made sense anymore.
Sky wasn't even sure he existed anymore or at any point. Everything and nothing, numb and pain, deafening silence and overwhelming noise.
None of it meant anything anymore.
He was cold and tired.
He wanted- something? He needed something. He was just cold and empty and he wanted so deeply but couldn't even remember what.
Sky couldn't even cry anymore. He couldn't feel anything except in the deepest parts of himself where he ached ached ached for something he couldn't piece a sentence together to remember.
He knew it existed, probably.
Surely his brain wouldn't be so cruel to make him crave something he could never have and had never had.
Or maybe it could be.
Deafening silence and overwhelming noise.
It was all the same.
He was so so so cold.
_____________
The sound track in hell is the fire of guns.
Prapai had always hated it.
Growing up in the mafia he didn't have much choice but to hear it a lot of the time, but it didn't help. He couldn't stand the sound of a single bullet flying. It made him feel sick.
It was a horrible sound that rang in his ears.
No one had ever been quite sure why he was so adverse, but most of the adults in his life were more concerned, that at ten years old, Prapai was still refusing to touch a gun, let alone carry one. How could he protect himself if he couldn't even shoot properly?
Of course safety was the last concern of a ten-year-old boy, so Prapai hadn't paid their lectures any mind. He hated guns, so he'd never use one. Simple as that.
This didn't change even years later, his cousins and siblings learned to carry, and Prapai stayed stubbornly away while they did.
As the bullets rained now, Prapai hardly noticed them over the roaring of blood in his ears. His uncle and their little group started making their way through the halls as gunfire rained in other parts of the building.
Kim's shots were precise and steady, evenly spaced and never wasted. He expended no more energy than necessary and his shot always struck true. Prapai barely heard it over the pounding of his heart, barely noticed the blood as it painted the walls and floor.
____________
Rain ducked in and out of rooms like a shadow, knowing Felix was doing the same. He communicated his position and what halls he'd checked twice, once in Korean and again in Thai.
Most of the rooms were empty, Everyone more interesting in the gunshots than whatever they'd been doing before. Rain shot a few stragglers before they could make a fuss, and Phayu covered his back.
The fight had concentrated quickly. They'd probably hoped to overwhelm the Theerapanyakul family with sheer numbers, if Rain had to guess. It wouldn't work, most of these guys were grunts, but it set Rain on edge that nothing had gone terribly, terribly wrong yet.
"Rain, I think I've found your friend."
Rain almost tripped over his own two feet, while Phayu looked at him in question. Rain pressed his comm, "Where?"
Felix described his surroundings and path he'd taken. Rain mentally traced his steps from where he'd been positioned into the building and reversed it to find his own way. Phayu was looking more confused by the second but didn't question their completely change in direction.
"The room was empty of guards and shit," Felix muttered. "Something is wrong, cousin."
Rain's skin prickled with goosebumps. He went to respond then stopped.
"Do you hear that?" Rain asked.
"Hm?" Phayu hummed.
Rain realized what was wrong and started running. "There's no gunfire."
Phayu swore and kept pace, checking his magazine robotically, just in case. "What do you think happened?"
Rain didn't answer right away. "Come in, is everyone okay? What happened?"
Phayu heard his boyfriend voice flood over his comm in Thai this time and waited for an answer.
"We're doing alright," Porsche answered. "We made our way through the first wave." In a display of his sharp intuition Porsche said, "Something isn't right here."
"Oh?" Kim asked.
"This was easy. Too easy." Porsche hummed in frustration.
"To easy?" Pete snickered. "Two of our men were shot."
"Yeah, only two of our men. And Lot was barely injured, hit his vest," Porsche argued. "Come on, surely you guys can tell too."
"Porsche is right." Rain said using his hand to help him round a corner without slowing. "Something is wrong. My cousin has eyes on Sky though, and I will in a minute."
"What?" Prapai exclaimed.
"Oh," Phayu breathed.
"He's fast." Kinn whistled. "Where is he?"
Rain struggled to put it into words. He had the map memorized but he wasn't sure how to guide anyone else but himself through these maze-like halls. "It's... it's like in the middle-back, slightly to the left on the third floor."
"Where? That didn't make any sense."
"We're on our way." Kim said shortly.
Rain left it at that, and focused.
They didn't have time for this.
Rain pressed a small circle to the wall.
They didn't have time.
_______________
Felix worked Sky's cuffs with a pair of lock picks. He didn't say anything, he wouldn't be able to communicate his friendliness anyway. So instead he focused on getting Sky free so his cousin to could just take the poor man home.
The lock was fucking annoying, taking too long to make any progress on, but eventually they began to give. The door opened and Felix whipped around gun in his hands and lock clattering against the metal of the bed.
Felix didn't recognize the suits and immediately let off two shots and kept firing for a couple more seconds just to be sure.
Felix realized with a start he actually did recognize the suits.
But not from the Theerapanyakul compound.
Felix reached up to his comm with stiff robotic movements. "Everyone hurry up. We need to get out right now."
"What happened?" Rain asked.
"Our family has joined the party. Tell everyone who isn't basically here to get the hell out right now." Felix growled, retaking the lock.
Rain shouted something over the comms and Felix heard familiar footsteps in the hall. Felix didn't even turn to look and Rain didn't slow in the doorway. He basically shoved his gun at Phayu and flung himself at the bed speaking in a flurry of Thai and Korean and a little English as he pushed Felix aside to continue on the lock.
Felix let him, Rain was much better than him. Felix walked over to Phayu, who was frozen, sheet-white, staring at Sky. Felix stuck out his hand demandingly. Phayu gave him a confused look and Felix rolled his eyes taking one of the guns and staring at the door.
It was the only door in the whole room.
Phayu nodded at him and crouch next to Rain. After a short conversation Rain handed the tools over to Phayu and sat up on the edge of the medical bed.
"Sky?" Rain asked quietly. "Sky, can you hear me?"
Sky didn't answer.
Rain gently tried to moved the blindfold, hissing as the edge lifted and raw skin underneath was shown. "Oh Sky," Rain whispered.
Rain ran a shaking hand through Sky's hair as the man flinched at the light that poured through from the lifted edge.
"You're going to be okay." Rain insisted. "I'm here. Prapai is on hi-"
Sky suddenly jerked. "Pai-"
Rain shushed him gently trying to get him to stay still a little longer so Phayu could get the pair cuff unlocked.
"No, no, Pai, Prapai..." Sky 's breaths started to come quick and distressed. "P'Pai. PRAPAI!"
Heavy steps pounded outside the doorway, door propped open by bodies.
"Sky!" Prapai called, not even caring as he kicked the dead men in his haste. "My Sky," he breathed.
Rain held Sky a few more moments, until Prapai could take his place. "Sky, Sky, Sky," Prapai chanted pressing his forehead to Sky's cheek and shaking. "Oh my Sky, my lovely boy. I'm right here. I'm here. It's your Prapai. I'm right here."
Sky started sobbing, hand flying up as soon as Phayu finally got it free, clumsily hitting Pai's back then curling around his neck. Phayu silently moved to the other side to start again.
Kim came in and started to work through the restraints around Sky's ankles.
Rain took Phayu's gun off him as they heard faint movement.
"Is everyone out of the building?" Rain asked over the comms.
"Yes. But if you aren't out in four minutes I'm coming back in." Porsche hissed. "I don't like this."
"You need to stay put." Rain insisted. "We have Sky, we're working on the restraints. But this building is going up the moment we get out."
"What?" Kinn asked, sounding startled.
Rain smirked slightly and relayed this but of the conversation to his cousin. Felix lifted his hand to the comm and said, "Boom."
Rain snickered as chaos erupted on over the comms. "Yes, boom. And it's going be recorded as a tragic accident with something to do with chemicals and leaks. Yes?" Rain asked sweetly.
"I... yes, of course." Kinn muttered.
Kim looked up at them with an unreadable expression for barely a moment before he clicked open restraint.
"They really didn't want your friend getting of these." Kim said dryly.
"No," Rain muttered. "They wanted us to be stuck here a while." Rain glanced at Felix and asked, "How many?"
"More than we have bullets." Felix answered. "We can't fight them. We have to go the fast way."
Rain blinked at him blankly. "The... fast way?"
"Nearest window." Felix confirmed.
Rain's head spun as he tried to figure out how they'd manage that. He opened the comm line. "I need a team around the east window, eighth in from the front, third floor. We're gonna have to go down that way."
Phayu jerked his head up. "What?" he asked.
"Heard." Pete answered. "We need to ten minutes."
Rain translated for Felix.
"We have seven." Felix deadpanned.
"We might not have that much time." Rain said. "But we'll try."
"There's only so fast we can go." Vegas said dryly.
"We'll make it work." Porsche cut in.
Both of Sky's hands were free now and Kim was muttering to himself as he worked the other ankle restraint. Prapai pulled back from Sky and pulled his shirt over his head, revealing a white undershirt, and pulled it over Sky's head, muttering against his temple as Sky twitched.
The shirt was splattered in blood, but Sky barely knew he was a human being at the moment, and real comfort would, unfortunately, have to wait.
Kim finally got the other cuff unlocked, and Prapai wasted no time scooping Sky into his lap fully, gentle to accommodate his battered state, but clearly needing to be touch Sky as much as physically possible.
"We need to go." Felix said, agitated. "We have maybe three minutes before they figure out we're still up here, and maybe less than that before they realize we're the only ones here."
"Let's go guys!" Rain called. "We need to go. We don't have much longer."
Felix went out into the hall to make sure it was clear and Rain lead everyone out and the opposite way trying to work through his mental map.
"How're you guys doing?" Rain asked.
"We've been better." Kinn answered. "We're securing the ladder now but a smaller group found us a couple minutes ago. It set us back."
Rain swore. "Sky's pretty hurt, I don't..."
"It'll be fine." Phayu answered. "I'll be able to take him."
"Yes." Porsche said. "And we're doing fine, Kinn is being dramatic."
They heard someone call something distantly, through Porsche's comm but it crackled off and Rain huffed agitatedly.
Felix shot once, twice, behind them and called, "Go faster," at Rain.
Phayu took Sky from Prapai, carefully, apparently very good at carrying injured persons, and this was not hot at all. Nope. Rain was not hysterical at all.
Rain's brain could barely keep up as he turned corners. He finally found the window and looked down.
He didn't see anything.
What the fuck.
Rain's mind raced a mile a minute.
"Fuck!" Rain shouted.
East window, they were mirrored.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
"Felix do you have eyes on any other guns?" Rain asked.
"Yes? Why? Rain, we need to go now." Felix growled.
"We can't. We're west, I wasn't thinking. I meant east." Rain panicked.
"God damn it." Felix swore. "If we live I'm kicking your ass."
Rain just started walking again and tossed Felix another magazine. Felix growled wordlessly.
"What's going on?" Phayu asked.
"I took us the wrong way." Rain said shortly, clearly not going to talk about it anymore.
Phayu breathed a swear.
"Where are they going to be?" Rain asked Felix.
"Everywhere." He deadpanned. "I don't know this place that well, I doubt they know it much better."
Rain paused for half a second a redirected their course. "We're taking the back halls. It takes longer but we might be able to sidestep some of the guards. Get behind them at least." Rain relayed this to the group waiting for them.
"I thought we didn't have time?" Kinn asked.
"Ran into an issue," Rain said. "We're back on course though."
"We need help," Felix muttered. "If Chan-hyung was here we could just throw him at these fuckers."
"Felix, please," Rain rolled his eyes. "What can we do right now?"
"Other than die?" Felix snorted. "Pray. How the fuck did you know about these?"
They heard a whole group of men pass by them and Rain muttered, "Memorized the blue prints."
"Wha.. what's, Rain I don't understand, whats- I don't understand." Sky muttered in broken but understandable Korean.
Rain startled and Felix raised an eyebrow. "It's okay, it's fine, Sky. Calm, Sky."
"Sky speaks Korean?" Prapai asked, confused.
"A little." Rain told him absently. "It's my first language so,"
"Right," Prapai said skeptically.
"We're gonna have to cut across this room and through a few main halls." Rain informed everyone, then in Korean.
"You're going to get us killed." Felix winced. "Fine. Okay."
"Shut up." Rain pouted, not bothering to answer in Korean.
Felix and Kim went first, handling the fire fight. Felix was right, they would certainly have more people than they had bullets. But both men were good, at what they did, sharpshooters.
They went a few more minutes without incident before realizing their fatal mistake as a group headed them off and another emerged from behind.
"Fuck," Kim breathed.
"Guns down." One of the men ordered in accented Thai.
Rain recognized the uniform. He and Felix met eyes.
They were going down one way or another. Because these men didn't care about Kim or Prapai or Phayu. They were here to take care of the Lee clan's biggest thorns.
"Phayu," Rain muttered to his boyfriend. "When I tell you to go, I need you to trust me okay, my love? I'll be right behind you but you need to go. Get Sky out. Three halls other. Take a right, then the third left, then a the fourth right. I'll be right behind you."
Phayu hesitated. "Rain-"
"Please, Phi." Rain held his breath.
"Okay." Phayu shifted his weight and Rain nodded to Felix.
Felix grabbed a small disk from his pocket and Rain slowly lowered his gun. Felix dropped the disk and stepped on it, depressing the button and releasing thick smoke.
"Run!" Rain called and lifted his gun, trying to remember where the enemies were before firing.
Phayu didn't hesitate, and the others followed him. Felix fired repeated. The blonde pressed himself to Rain's back as a shot clipped his arm. Both boys went to the ground in a practiced manner and Rain fired four shots in quick succession.
"I'm out." Felix muttered.
The smoke thinned and they both staggered up, Felix holding his arm. Several of men had clearly shot each other once the cousins had ducked down.
"You little shits." One of the men growled. "You realize you just killed yourselves?"
Rain held his glare. "But you aren't going to kill us."
"No, someone much worse is going to skin you both alive."
Felix and Rain breathed in unison, eyes dark and faces smeared with blood. Rain tucked his gun into the waistband of his pants, safety clicked on and Felix mimicked him.
"Okay." Both cousins answered.

Phayu managed to get them to the window smashed it in, no patience left. Kim cleared the glass with his jacket and helped Phayu get safely onto the ladder with Sky. They heard several relieved shouts as they did so. Kim went last, gun trained forward to catch anyone who might still be chasing.
They all made it down safely and Sky as taken to one of their vans so they could get the blindfold off in dim lighting and give him some first aid. Prapai followed without a word and Phayu popped back out to wait for Rain and Felix.
They all waited baited breath for either of them to come down. "Where are they?" Phayu muttered. "How long?"
"Five minutes." Kim answered immediately.
"Fuck." Phayu wheezed, panic squeezing his throat.
"They gave themselves up." Kim told him, quietly. "Those were the Lee clan's men. They wanted the boys. Not us. They gave themselves up."
Phayu felt numb. "We have to go back."
"We can't."
"We have to." Phayu insisted. "Uncle."
"I know, Phayu. I know. We barely made it out." Kim told him.
"I can't leave him!" Phayu screamed.
The building shook and Kim dragged Phayu back and yelled for cover as the building exploded.
"Those fucking kids!" Porsche screamed. "They blew themselves up!"
Pete came and pulled Phayu into his arms and held his close, face buried in his son's hair. "You were close to the blast, are you okay? Phayu?"
"Rain just blew himself up." Phayu said numbly.
"It's going to be okay." Pete chanted against his temple.
Vegas sprinted over to them. "Phayu? Is he alright?"
"Physically." Kim muttered.
Vegas shot him a murderous look. "That is what I meant. Asshole."
"He just watched the building his boyfriend was trapped in go up in flames." Kim hissed. "Of course he isn't okay."
______________
Rain flipped his hood up. Felix grabbed a grenade out of his pocket. He pulled the pin, observing the small weapon for a few moments before throwing it and missing the group by a wide margin. Instead it hit the wall as it exploded, right next to a small circle.
Both boys threw themselves to the ground leather hoods over their heads and tucked against the ground.
Everything went red.
The noise continued for several moments as all the circles Rain and Felix stuck to the walls like fun stickers detonated. Once the shocks wore off and smoke filled the halls Rain reached out to shake Felix. "Lix. Lix! Are you okay?"
Felix groaned holding his shoulder now popped out of place again. "My shoulder is fucked. I definitely tore something."
"We're fucking alive." Rain laughed as he looked up getting to his knees. The guards were all knocked out or dead, having been stood so close to their little surprises. "Come on. Come on. We have to-" Rain tried to get up and pain shot through his whole body, leg surely broken and several ribs cracked.
Felix grunted. "Comm isn't working, obviously. I think I have a concussion my head hit the ground pretty hard and my vision is swimming."
Sure enough his words were slurred.
"I have a broken leg and probably multiple ribs. I can still walk." Rain insisted. "The whole thing is gonna go down soon and there's no way the ladder survived the explosion."
"I- I left a- a few halls over... one of the halls should' be clear. There's a thing..." Felix was sounding less coherent by the moment but Rain understood him.
Rain gritted his teeth and did his level best to ignore the pain in his leg and chest as he helped Felix up. They both staggered to their feet, leaning against each other for support. Felix whined as his arm was pressed to Rain harshly before either of them could reposition.
"Sorry," Rain muttered.
"'S fine." Felix ground out.
They stumbled together, guns forgotten, through several halls. Fire raged around them and the building groaned warningly, bits of debris cracked off the blown up walls and Felix paid it all no mind, leading them through the wreckage to where he knew an exit would be.
The heat cling to Rain skin, boiling it at times and melting his jacket into his skin.
Adrenaline left him numb as panic coursed through him, and Rain decided he'd rather just get out before worrying about his injuries, so he picked up the pace and Felix wordlessly quickened as well, arm swinging uselessly and head lolling.
The ceiling caved in behind them, but both boys were past caring. They just kept going mind fixed on the idea of an exit. Felix tried to push the door open but couldn't manage it, Rain pushed him to the side and threw his whole body against the door, it gave, hinges cracking and falling off. Rain dragged his cousin through it and was distantly grateful for the lessened smoke in the stairwell.
He was not grateful for the stairs.
They almost fell several times, did fall a couple times, but the stairwell led straight down to the ground floor and adrenaline was a hell of a drug.
Most of the first floor was caved in at this point, and the rest of the building surely on its way down. Rain heard the building crack and Felix towards the nearest exit.
The world went black around them.
________________
Phayu darted into the building as soon as it started going down, ripping out of his parents' arms. A few men followed him, maybe to try and bring him back, but Phayu didn't stop. He went into the closest entrance and started screaming.
"RAIN! RAIN! FELIX! WHERE ARE YOU?" Phayu ducked around a corner.
He heard a faint sound and followed it without a thought. "RAIN! FELIX! ARE YOU GUYS HERE?"
Phayu almost ran smack into a pile of rubble, but it didn't even matter because he heard an accented, "Phayu!" muffled by the debris.
"Felix! Felix! Are you guys okay?" Phayu asked.
The men who followed him stopped, clearing talking to the team outside. Phayu heard harsh coughing and then something in Korean he couldn't understand. Phayu groaned to himself before saying, "Okay, okay, we're going to get you both out. Just hang tight!"
"Sir, we have a team on their way in."
"Tell them to get here faster."
