Kel stood by Basil's hospital bed, Hero tapped his foot in a endless mantra of a beat, with no real pattern and built from anxiety. Aubrey stood on the other side of Basil, looking at his vitals, her bat slung over her shoulder as she scowled.
The brunet looked out the window, Sunny's room was upstairs, it felt... Wrong, to not be with Sunny after he got his eye taken out, but Kel supposed Basil needed them as well. Everything was going to be okay, they'd go back to being the IT group, even without... Her, but everything would be alright. Basil moved, shuddering, but his baby blue eyes didn't open, just flickering around.
Kel looked back, staying eerily quiet, the beat of Hero's foot, Basil's heartrate, and the air conditioning were the only things to be heard, sometimes footsteps outside the door. But as Kel looked back to the window-
