Chapter Text
Prelude: The Beginning
On an exoplanet far from Earth, it is named Copper 9. This terrestrial planet was colonized by JCJeson IN SPAAAAACEE!!!!, and it was one of the many places for mining, manufacturing, and robot research. There was once humanity living on the exoplanet, alongside the worker drones, who humans mistreated most of the time. However, that all changes when, one day, the planet's core suddenly collapses, which results in the extinction of every lifeform that has ever walked on the planet. While that is currently happening, worker drones live on and create society. We will follow one of the worker drones, unique from many other drones, such as encased in a capsule.
[Setting, Unknown Factory]
Inside one of the abandoned factory rooms lies a capsule containing a worker drone. In one corner of the capsule is a timer about to reach zero. It makes a beep sound when it reaches zero, and the capsule opens. This is the beginning of her crazy adventure to discover who she is and how she became a savior of drones.
The drone wakes up to see herself in a dark room. It was empty, and no life could be found around herself. "Where am I?" this now-awaken drone asks. She got up from her capsule and looked around, wondering where she was. She was located in an empty room, and it was a big mess around her. She is curious about what has happened here. "Huh, what has happened here? Wait, how did I end up in that capsule I woke up from." She can't remember what happened to her nor remember her past. "Why can't I remember anything? How did I end up in this situation?" the drone asked. She then found many damaged drawings, one being unique from the others. It looks like a drawing of a drone with the name "Ghot" on it.
Curiously, she looks at herself in the mirror and sees the similarity between herself and the one on the paper. "Huh, at least I remember my name. One step at a time," Ghot announced. "Now, since I am here, I can explore around." She put away the blueprints into her pockets and continued. As she explored around the factory, she saw some skeletons that were once human. "Drag, what happened here to have these things turn into Icy skeletons?" Ghot stated. She looks around the factory and sees many machines no longer in service because no one maintains them. After exploring many rooms, she found one more unique than many others. "Core Room," Ghot read. Ghot decided to check it out. Once inside the vast room, she sees something at the center of the room. It's a green core inside a tube.
"Hmmm, judging at how there are many danger signs and safety protocols in this room, something tells me that this core is why this factory is still somehow active," Ghot studied. As she walks closer, she can clearly see the green orb core. Little did she know, she wasn't alone in the room. Up above the ceiling, something long is slowly approaching the core. "Well, long as this thing is here, everything should be fine," Ghot said, unaware of what was going to happen next. As she walked back to where she came from, she heard something. She turns back and sees a tail about to grab the tube. "HEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Ghot yelled. As she walks back to the center, she starts to see more of the creature about to take the core. "Awww, is this core important to you? I'm sorry, but it now belongs to me." The unknown creature stated. As it goes down, Ghot starts to see more of the creature. It was a huge snake-like drone.
"Who the drag are you?!" Ghot yelled. "Oooo, I like when girls try to act like the big boss. Unfortunately, I'm not into them," the snake drone replied. "Name Mecha Naga, but it won't matter anyway soon," Mecha Naga stated. "I don't care about your name; I care about why it looks like you are about to steal the core of this very factory! Who knows what would happen if the core got removed?" Ghot exclaimed. "Much as I heard everything you said…. I don't care. Plus, I won't be here if anything happens to the factory. But I still don't care for you," Mecha Naga reminded Ghot. "Sigh. Left me no choice." Ghost said as she pulled out a gun she grabbed from the other room before.
"I will make you either back off or terminate you on the spot!" Ghot exclaimed. "Ooo, I would like to see you TRY," Mecha Naga said as he zoomed past Ghot. Surprise, Ghot prepares to shoot at Mecha Naga. Right when he is right next to her, Ghot shoots. But to her surprise, the bullet did minor damage to Mecha Naga. "Did you expect me to go down like that? Please, I can tank an actual tank if it tries to run over me." Mecha Naga laughs at the attempt. With anger, Ghot kept shooting at Mecha Naga, but it still did nothing to Mecha Naga. Already tired of it, Mecha Naga slithers right up to Ghot and slaps her hard with his tail. Ghost was flying back to the door, injured from that.
"All that bullet did nothing to me but one tail hit, and you are already down! How pathetic you are! You are the best test dummy for when we end all worker drones." Mecha Naga laughs, which caught Ghot's attention to what he said. "Much as I like to torture you, I still have my part in my master's plan. What will happen next? You wish you were dead now," Mecha Naga laughs as he zooms to the core, breaks the tube, and steals the core. "Goodbye for now," Mecha Naga said as he left up to the ceiling he came from. Just as he left, Ghot heard an alarm go off. "WARNING: CORE HAS BEEN MISSING, FACTORY HAS BECOME UNSTABLE. EMERGENCY EVAUACTE NOW!" The system states. "Well, so much for exploring. I got to get out of here now!" Ghot rush through the factory. Many boxes were in the way, and Ghot had to jump over or move to the side. "ONE MINUTE REMAIN!" "DRAG, THIS PLACE IS LIKE A MAZE, I WILL NOT MAKE IT OUT IN TIME!" Ghot worried.
As she ran past many more rooms, she saw a safe room. "Wait, this safe is designed to withstand explosions! This has to be my only option. Hopefully, I will live!" Ghot said. She ran to the safe but needed the code. "Wait, what's the code? What the code!" Ghot looked around and saw a piece of paper with the code written on it. "10921," Ghot read. As fast as she enters the code, the safe opens, and she rushes into the safe right away. She closes the safe and prepares for the explosion; she can feel the explosion happening outside the safe, which causes her to fall and hit herself in the head, knocking her out.

After a few moments, she wakes up again. "God, I just woke up, and I had to deal with all of this drag," Ghot states as she starts to recover. Suddenly, she realizes she can only see one side of her vision now. In horror, she realized one of her eyes got damaged, the one that her hair was already covered. “Well, look like I better take care of my other eye if I still want to see….” Ghot stated. She looks at the safe's door, walks towards it, and opens it. What she saw behind was horrific at seeing the remains of the factory. "Well, drag me, I would have been metal scraps if I ended up outside…." Ghot exams as she looks around. She also noticed the world beyond the place she was inside, a winter wasteland. "Drag… it is freezing outside, I can tell. Well, better not stay here anymore because drag knows what that thing was and if he's going to be back to check on me," Ghot states before walking toward the endless winter wasteland.
As she wanders around the wasteland and enters an empty city, she sees many abandoned places, just like the factory. She also sees many of not only frozen skeletons but also many of the dead worker drones that look like they were brutally killed or eaten by something. "Could Mecha Naga have eaten me if he had the chance? I do not want to find that answer; better keep that unanswered." Ghot thinking. It also got her to think about something important that she had almost forgotten about who she was. She knows she is a worker drone like many others, but it does not explain her purpose. While searching around, she noticed a massive hill of dead worker drones.
"Someone must want an A+ on their art project," Ghot joked. 'It's better to stay away from here because something tells me that whatever made this is likely still nearby." Ghot decided to run in the opposite direction and continued. Looking around the abandoned city, she has to wonder what it was like to have lived here before something terrible happened that caused the whole place to be dead. Moments later, she spots a big bunker door up ahead.
"Well, hopefully, someone is behind that door because why else would it be out here?" Ghot said as she looked at the colossal bunker. She proceeds to walk up to the bunker door and knock on the bunker door. She waited awhile, thinking no one was there, until the small window opened. "Hello? You do not happen to be a murder drone, do you?" The one who opened the window asked. "Murder drones? What are those?" Ghot ask. "Well, think of them as drones that look similar to us, but they murder us for our oil, and judging at your size and appearance, it looks like you're not one of them. What are you doing out there all alone?" The drone asked. "Well, I woke up in a factory, or at least what's left, and I don't remember who I am. I only remember that I am one of those worker drones, and I am currently looking for a place to stay." Ghot responded. "Hmm, I think you will fit well with others, and considering my daughter might need some friends, I believe you can stay with our colony," The drone said. "Give me a moment to open the door." After waiting for a while, Ghot saw the bunker door open. As she walked inside, she almost forgot to say something. "OH, drag, I hadn't even said my name! My name is Ghost, and what may your name be?" The drone who opens the door responds, "My name is Khan Doorman."
