Summary

The only difference was Megumi’s abundant joy, strong enough to cross such a distance and thrum through Sukuna like a plucked string. Strong enough to change Sukuna’s very form.
Though the maw was birthed by Megumi’s happiness, it craves his destruction. To cause Megumi harm is anathema to Sukuna, would destroy him in turn. Sukuna has always been guided by his desires. For them to conflict irreconcilably, for the only compromise to be the denial of their pursuit entirely…
