Summary
The Senju have dressed Tobirama - Tajima can no longer simply call him 'the boy' in his head - in their finest white kimono and over-kimono. He ascends the steps to the fire temple like the wraith he resembles, and when Tajima offers his hand to assist, the palm Tobirama places in his startles with its chill. His nails are painted a bright gold to match the red, gold and black cranes embroidered across his over-kimono and the deep crimson and gold interior of his hood.
"Lord Uchiha," Tobirama murmurs, and his voice is shockingly deep, redolent of the rushing waters Tajima's seen him deploy across innumerable battlefields.
No pure and innocent maiden, this, even swathed in white silk.
