Chapter Text
When Ben told them that his first royal decree would be to bring kids from island of the lost, Red thought he was crazier than Maddox's dad. Bringing kids who live in such a shitty place to a place where there were stuck-up rich kids? Good luck with that. Auradon is a place of prejudice. Yet, Ben really thought these kids won't have problems? Not even a single thought towards their parents' upbringing?
Auradon isn't ready to take such a huge step. The citizens refused to accept anything different from themselves, so the idea that someone from a completely different culture could be redeemed was hilarious when their people refused to even think about redeeming themselves.
"People would learn to like them," Ben had said it as though it were absolute. Tell that to Red, even as the crown princess of Wonderland she got looks for her culture and not so 'Auradon princess' attitude.
Auradon sucks, if one would ask Red, her subjects who followed her to Auradon would tell you the same. Wonders were like a completely different race to these hypocrites.
Unlike the isle, Wonderland had a friendly relationship with Auradon. Yet, people still looked at them funny and sneered behind their back about their 'strange behaviors.'
So, to put it simply, princes and princesses suck.
Well... Except for one, Their beautiful princess.
Chloe Charming, daughter of Cinderella and King Charming, the sister of that jerk Chad, and most importantly Red's fiancée. Ever since she were a little girl she had known Chloe belonged to her.
Chloe was hers and hers alone, the people thought they shared her, but every Wonder knew different.
Though to say Chloe was Auradon's was a bit of a misnomer. The only one who belonged to this accursed continent was Chad.
"My love, come back to bed..." Red looks down at a very sleepy Chloe.
"My princess can't sleep if I'm not with her?" Stroking Chloe's cheek became so natural to Red over the years they've spent together. Grabbing Chloe by the hand she lays her princess back down gently. "I have to go to that isle children's welcome party, but I'll be back soon to sleep with you." Red starts stroking Chloe's hair.
"Gotta keep an eye on them..." Red smiles as she listens to her beloved' sleepy murmurs. "Even sleepy you're so smart... We'll watch them together. After, you're well rested from that mission. But for now... My knight needs her sleep." Leaning down to kiss Chloe on the cheek she continues,
"you've been awake for 18 hours, boo."
Red begins humming a common Wonderland lullaby into her lover's ear, luring her knight to sleep.
When Chloe finally fell back to sleep, Red got up from bed, heading straight for the high school entrance. She was already ten minutes late, woops. When she arrived everyone was silent, Audrey glaring at her disapprovingly while Ben smiled at her.
The Isle Kids stared at her with intrigue, Red looks different from the other Auradon girls they saw before them.
"You were late," Red looks over to where Audrey was standing, mouth firmly planted in a frown, rolling her eyes at the other girl's attitude. "My knight was busy and could finally get some rest. Sorry if I'm late from taking care of my knight, bitch."
Audrey walks up to her, face hardened like stone as she tries to intimidate the shorter girl. "Those aren't words that a princess should be using. "
All Audrey managed to do was make Red start laughing.
"In Auradon, maybe..." Red completely ignores everything Audrey had to say. Audrey and Red's relationship wasn't the best, ever since Red saw the way she looked at her Chloe she had known that girl was going to lose her mind someday.
"You must be the Isle kids," Red greets each of them with a handshake. The blue girl caught her eye, with hair a deeper blue than Chloe's. She was beautiful with a radiant smile, then there was the purple girl. Her smile was fake, Red decides at that moment she hates fake people.
The two boys well... they weren't interesting. Just a boy like Chad and another just like Chloe.
Ben was quick to introduce Red to the new people, trying to take the edge off her awkward introduction with a friendly smile. "This is Red, she'll be one of your guides so that you'll adjust easier. We know it's difficult coming to such a different place."
"Yes... yes... It's extremely difficult for them, Ben. We don't need any more introductions. Keep walking to the school, your rooms are over there." Red grabs Ben by the arm and starts pulling him towards the high school doors, Audrey glaring at her with hatred. Red could care about these kids, the only thing on her mind was getting back to her room with her princess.
It didn't even take ten minutes before Audrey decided to take Ben with her, giving some bullshit excuse that had left Red with the new guys. Audrey would lose something soon and Red wouldn't be responsible for it.
"Why are you so... different from those two?" The group watched Ben and Audrey leave, since according to Audrey, Ben had things to do. The purple haired girl looks at Red very curiously trying to put something together.
"Depends on what you mean by different, I'll be able to answer it depending on the question" Red pulls out her pocket watch to tell the time, the watch chimed so loudly that the whole room could hear it ticking.
"Are you always this irritating?"
"It comes with the realm, at least that's what I've been told," the rookies look at her confused, sighing, she taps the watch with her thumb. "Why am I giving you guys a tour if it's not even my responsibility?" Red mutters, walking down the hallway as if looking for someone.
Red's eyes land on someone, an inhuman grin plastered on her face as she beckons them closer.
"I need to go see someone, is it okay if I drop these guys off?" The person looks them up and down for a moment before nodding, giving the girl a hug.
"Of course my princess," he smiles before turning back to them, the group watching as Red walks away.
"My princess?" Mal says, staring after Red's fading figure in confusion.

When Red returned to her room, Chloe was still asleep. It looks like she had briefly stirred from her sleep, covers tossed to the ground. Red smiles softly at what she saw, her blue princess was beautiful even when she was asleep. Red quickly began changing as fast as she could, laying down next to the other girl.
Chloe will have fun with the new ones. Red's smile turns into a feral grin as she thinks about how they wouldn't be left alone, there would always be a smiling cat watching. Reporting back their every move to her.
Looking down at her girlfriend, Red hums knowing that they may think Chloe is weak at first, but what they don't know is Chloe could kill them in a second if she wanted to.
A feline smile appears on Red's face, looking at Chloe for a few seconds before smiling even wider. The parents of the isle kids wouldn't just let their children walk away from their control. Red had to make plans just in case she was right. The Wonders would play an important role in this, yes, it was the obvious choice that her Wonders would have to keep an eye on these rookies.
Red closes her eyes to sleep. She didn't have to keep an eye on the new ones, but her heart told her that something was going to happen because of them. She wouldn't allow anything to happen to her people. Red especially won't let anything happen to Chloe, she'd cut off the head of anyone who dares to even attempt to harm her.
