Katsuki first started to notice Hanta at the UA sports festival.

The extras around me say. Of course they want to team up with the person with the second highest points (Stupid Deku has the most but that’s not important right now. I’m gonna beat him anyways.) Looking around the group that surround me, I notice that I really did not know what their quirks or names are and was very confused. They don’t matter to me. This school is just a stepping stool to become the number 1 hero.
”Each of you tell me your name and your quirk“ I say with a straight face.
”Are you serious Bakugou we are all literally in the same class.“ Pink face says outraged.
”That doesnt change the fact that I don’t know“ I state with a scowl on my face. Not making eye contact with her.
Suddenly dumb hair screams his name and walks towards the crowd that is already gathered around him. For some reason he has been in his personal space for awhile now.
”Bakugouuu lets team up!!! Todoroki already got himself a full team.“
Wow second choice.
”Hair for brains.“
”My name is Kirishima and You know that. By the way Your hair is not that different from mine dude.“ He screams into my face pointing at me.
I growl.
”Anyways wanna play rider. I mean who else here could withstand your explosions after all?“ He states proudly with a smirk on his face.
”I care more about finding someone with Guts to help me on my mission“
”Yeah me and my hardening will do that for you. We will be a team that can’t crumble. And we will get those points. Midoriyas 1 million.“
In that moment i saw a competitive spark in Dumb hairs I mean Kirishimas eyes. His whole speech to me made me want to call him by his actual name. A name I will remember from now on.
Kirishima stretched out his fist for a fist bump and with a smirk on my face I gave in.
”Bakugou“
”Tape arms“
I saw the other visibly cringe.
”Can i please be on your team. It would make the most since if you fall off Kirishimas back i can just bring you back safely“
”Do you think that i would make such a stupid mistake?“
”Nooooo but just to be safe i guess“ he said with a wobbly smile while shrugging.
”Fine. Pinkie you are also on my team be radey for everything”
”Yes” squeals while pumping her fist up
”The rest of you extras scram”
And thats how the group around him dismantles.
The horn sounds snd the battle begins. Every group rushes over to Dekus group in attack mode. While Dekus group is distracted with grape heads group, I launch myself off of Kirishima back and attempt to grab the 1 million points, which of course stupid Deku dodges.
While I was flying in the air tape wraps around me. Tape arms quirk of course. As I looked back I saw how effortlessly he pulls me back to the group. He catches me in his arms and i notice how strong he is. He looks at me and smiles
”Is everything okay? Don’t get too a head of yourself we still need to win this“
He had so much care in his eyes. I stare at his face and realize after some quick seconds that he caught me in bridal style. I put on my scowl on my face.
„Of course im okay now put me back on Kirishimas back Tape arms”
”Did you just call me Kirishima” he states surprised.
I ignore him and Tape arms puts me back on top. I feel my face flush and my heart quicken but that was soon interrupted by the fact that monoma comes out of no where and steals the team points. Uhhh he is gonna regret messing with me.
„Kirishima…. change of plans before we go after Deku we are sending these shitstains to their early grave“ I state
We go after class Bs group. I finds out during the fight that the blond guy has a copycat quirk. During the fight the blond guy kept copying Mine and Kirishimas quirk and kept on provoking. So i did the only thing that came to my mind. I launched myself off Kirishima again grabbed some the points that the other team had.
Again Sero had to pull me back.
„We told you to warn us when you jump back. dammit why don’t you listen. You are risking everything when you do that.” Sero states a little annoyed.
I stay silent with anger.
„But atleast we’ll definitely place high enough“ Kirishima mentions
”Its not enough”
”Huhhhhhh” all three of them moan together.
”I won’t stop until I am #1. If i go at it alone like just now it won’t be enough. So go! We get our points back and then go after the 10 million”
”You are quite the character aren’t you” Sero states
I look down at him and he’s already looking at me with his sly smile. I fight the urge to blush.
”You heard the boss we better move it and be #1”
We move and I get the points. I even hear the commentator say that i showed no mercy. There are still 20 seconds left on the clock I need to go after deku and Icyhot. I need to be first, but before i even reach them the clock strikes 0. Fuck 2nd again.
I sit on the floor furious when the announcer announces that my team is second growling. I look behind me and see Kirishima, pink face and tape face worried and disappointed faces. Tape face starts approaching me.
„Hey Bakugou it’s okay we are 2nd place“
He puts his hand on my shoulder. I blush for a second. I wasn’t used to this kind of treatment. I shrugged it off.
„Don’t touch me, Tape arms“
„It’s Sero“
I heard him say while I stand up and walk out of the arena. Second place. Second is the first to loose. I am supposed to win it all but can’t even be first in every round of the competition. Stupid weak me. As I walk through the corridor I suddenly hear Icyhot talking to Deku.
„Are you Allmights illegitimate child“ The two toned hair boy ask
„You’ve got it all wrong. Well of course that’s exactly what a secret son would say, so i get if you so i get if you don’t believe me, but i swear that’s not it.“ Deku voice shakes while saying this.
Icyhot might be on to something. It is weird that Deku has such similar powers to Allmight. As I continue to listen to their conversation I learned about Icyhots trauma and how he won’t use his father’s quirk to become #1. As if he could ever be #1. When I realised the conversation was coming to an end I left the scene. Either way i have to prepare for the next round.
