Chapter Text

If you're reading this on any other platform than AO3, this work has been stolen.

It was a regular day, the Celestial fam were hanging in the daycare.

There were no children, it was Sunday. They didn't need to be there, but Sun insisted on making sure the place was in perfect shape for the upcoming week.

Earth and Lunar were leaning against the security desk as Moon was sitting behind it. Sun was, (of course) cleaning the area for what might have been the fourth time that weekend.

Moon was digging through the drawers in the area, trying to find a piece to finish some gadget of his.

"Second drawer to the left, Moon" Sun shouted from the other side of the daycare.

Earth and Lunar exchanged a confused look with each other as they watch Moon rummage through the specific drawer, only before he pulls out the exact thing he's looking for.

"Thanks Sunny!" He calls out without looking up.

Lunar looked petrified and Earth just stares, trying to process what had just happened.

Lunar finally speaks up, "How- how did he- I just-"

Sun just shrugs as he is finishing organizing the daycare.

Lunar and Earth look at eachother then back at Moon.

They eventually decided not to even address it, not like they would get a straight answer...

Moon had finally found the piece he was looking for, placing it in his pocket and looking up. He immediately chuckled at the look on Earth and Lunar's faces.

"You two look petrified." Moon joked.

Lunar sputters out, "H-how did you do that?"

Moon tilts his head to the side, amused with the question.

"Do what, know where to find it?" He asks in a slightly cocky tone, knowing that was exactly what they were wondering.

"How did you two just-" Lunar moved his hands between Sun and Moon "...read each other's minds?"

Moon laughs softly, leaning back in the swivel chair he was in.

"We've been together for years, you begin to pick up on small things."

Sun called down to them from across the daycare, "Plus, I also know exactly how Moons mind works."

Earth continued leaning against the security desk and hummed in thought. "Well, they are twins. And we're in the same body at one point."

"Exactly." Moon added.

Sun jumped down to the ground after scrubbing one of the play structures, brushing dust off his pants. He walked over to everyone, standing at Moon's side.

"But, you aren't wrong. That and we live and work together, we're practically tied at the hip."

Sun and Moon glance at eachother, Sun's smug smile and Moons smirk only made the look more mischievous.

"Yeah, Moon and I have been together since we woke up. So I'd say we're pretty close."

Moon scoffs, crossing his arms in an overdramatic way.

"Too close in my opinion."

Sun scoffs at this, rolling his eyes

"Shut up, you love me and you know it."

Rewrite 2025

The daycare lights shine brightly on the various colourful play areas and mats. The place, usually flooded with children daily, is now empty. After-hours were both soothing and exhausting. They only brought reminders of another successful day of work.

It was Sunday, yes. Normally, the daycare would be shut down from the rest of the Pizzaplex as to give the robots a break. Though, due to unforeseen events, some kid with rich parents paid their way into getting a birthday party hosted by the celestial bots.

It was a lot, to say the least.

Technically, they didn't have to stay afterwards to tidy up from the party. Fazbear offered to send Staffbots in to do the job, but Sun refused, denying the non-senitent robots to clean the daycare up to his own insane standard.

Four animatronics stay present in the area. Earth, Lunar, Sunrise, and Moondrop.

Earth was the newest addition to the Celestial Family, but by no means any less valuable as an asset. She played the role of the younger sister and family therapist.

Lunar, the adopted younger brother, is training to become a celestial overseer known as an Astral. To help monitor star power usage.

The two younger bots lean against the large security desk minding their own business. Mother nature herself was flipping through the latest Fazbear advertisement in a printed magazine. Lunar was doom scrolling on his sister's phone. (His got taken away by Sun because of his excessive screentime.)

On the opposite side of the desk, stood Moon. Inventor, experimental scientist, and one of the older siblings in the family. Moon was zipping from different drawers in the cabinets lower on the wall behind the security desk. He was clearing looking for something specific.

Now, Sun had insisted that they'd stay after the birthday party to clean. Really only himself, but still! It was a bit of a nightmare, however. One of the guests thought it had been a wonderful idea to gift the birthday child a "giant tub" of slime as Sun described it. It was really only a small jar, but it sure felt worse with how it stained and stuck to everything when it had spilled.

Sunrise, is also one of the older siblings in the celestial family. Moon's twin brother and the mother of the household. He's a neat freak, the sweetest sweetheart ever but can also be extremely terrifying.

After ensuring that every surface of the play places were scrubbed down multiple times, Sun brushed some of the non-existent dust on his arms and ribbons around his wrists.

The sunny model noticed his brother rummaging around in chopped, frantic motions. "Moon?" He called out, not moving from his spot. "Are you looking for the-"

"Yes." Moon cut him off, knowing what the other was going to ask. "I swear I left it here. I know for sure it isn't at home."

"I'm assuming you already checked your lab?"

"Yes. Very thoroughly. Along with the-"

"-garage and theatre, yeah I figured." Sun nodded along, finishing his brother's sentence, still keeping his calm and collected manner to keep the conversation and search on its toes. "Maybe Monty or Solar took it for something they needed."

Moon sighed, "I guess that's a very strong possibility. I'm going to kill those two."

"Well, before we murder anyone, what about the spare parts bin that Solar keeps up in the theatre? You could probably find something of the sorts that you're looking for there."

"Oh, that's a good ideaaaa." Moon drawled out, looking up at the brightly lit daycare ceiling. Sun hummed, walking over to lean against the counter. Earth looked up from her Fazbear robot toy catalog, tuning into the back and forth conversation.

Moon froze in place and narrowed his optics. "Wait."

Everyone looked up at him expectantly.

Moon took a deep artificial breath, bringing both his hands to clasp together in front of his face. He then turned to face his brother. "Sunrise, remember the replacement piece I said I'd keep in case of this? Do you remember where I put that?"

They both stood in a brief silence. Eyes locked on one another as they both lit up.

"Second drawer down to the left!" They stated in unison excitedly, leaving the other siblings confused and terrified. Earth and Lunar exchanged bewildered glances at the synchronised statement from the two brothers.

"How did you both just-" Earth began bewildered, cutting herself off mid sentence. "Nevermind."

Lunar shook his head in disbelief. "Gods, you two sometimes have this weird twin telepathy thing going on."
