The idea came to me when I read some old fanfics in the past and wanted to re-read them. Along with the game Bendy and the Dark Revival playing in my head, a thought crossed my mind.
'What if Takuya and the gang were Digimon/Human Hybrids before their adventure happened?
It goes like this...
Takuya, Kouji, Koichi, and Zoe were three years old, while J.P. was only four and Tommy was only a baby when tragedy struck them—leaving them on the verge of death.
As the parents grieve for their children, three beings appear before them. One looked like a giant rabbit, and the other two looked like angelic warriors. Their names are Cherubimon, Seraphimon, and Ophanimon.
They explain to them, that they can save the children by becoming part digimon to heal their injuries. The parents all thought of what to do next. Should they accept their fate that their kids will never wake up again, or revive them through digimon data?
They chose the data revival.
(The short clip of this story takes place in episode 38)
Baromon "There is so much you children must know, not just about Lucemon's return, but there is something else that is very important to all of you. I do not think you are ready for this, but all of you legendary warriors need to know."
The stone that the children and digimon were standing on began to descend into the tunnels of history once again.
Baromon "Before Cherubimon became evil, a strange phenomenon a cured in the digital world. A powerful wave broke through the gates between the digital world and the human world."
The children and digimon witness illustrations and illusions detailing Baromon's tale.
Baromon "Six young human lives were nearly destroyed that fateful moment, had it not been for Ophonimon, Seraphimon, and Cherubimon to intervene."
The children try to make out of the silhouettes, for there was something almost familiar about their appearances.
Baromon "The Celestial Digimon came to the grieving parents with an offering. They can offer their children to live again, but at only at a price that they will forever have data within them. Data like the digimon. The parents accepted their offer."
The gang looked at each other, sharing the same expression of concern, hurt, and worry.
Tommy "And... did it work?"
Baromon "Yes. The young ones are alive and well, but they do not know what has happened to them as they live out their life. Bright. Kind. Almost human."
Baromon then turns to face the legendary warriors.
Baromon "Tell me, Children. When you have found the spirits, were you ever drawn to them? Like a moth to a flame, as you humans would say?"
They were taken back a little at the question, and as they all nodded their heads in agreement, Zoe answered.
Zoe "Yeah, we did."
Kouji "But what's that got to do with this?"
Baromon "The data that Cherubimon, Seraphimon, and Ophonimon have offered to revive the children... were the ten legendary warriors. For it was the legendary warriors' own will."
Everyone was scared out of their minds, so much so that their legs gave way.
Baromon "You six are digimon and human hybrid of the legendary warriors."
Takuya looks at his hands and flexes them, as he recalls the time he was turned into Flamon back in the human world.
Wishing that it wasn't true, and yet being very grateful for Agunimon to allow him and his friends to live.
