Ace Always Gets What Ace Wants

Summary:

It had been a long day- actually, it had been a long week. It was one thing after another with little rest between the damn things. There had been two marine attacks on top of three rookie pirate crews testing their luck. These fights were usually welcome distractions from the monotonous of life at sea, but god did Ace just want a goddamn break.

Or, Ace hasn’t seen much of Marco for a week and decides that just can’t stand.

Notes:

This was supposed to be cute and fluffy and then it turned…..steamy. I really have no idea what happened but enjoy!

Work Text:

It had been a long day—actually, it had been a long week. It was one thing after another with little rest between the damn things. There had been two Marine attacks on top of three rookie pirate crews testing their luck. These fights were usually welcome distractions from the monotonous rhythm of life at sea, but god did Ace just want a goddamn break.

With all the attacks, he had been busy helping to patch up the bits of damaged ship as well as making sure they didn’t end up too far off course. Nothing too strenuous in all honesty, but he was annoyed because he had barely been able to see his boyfriend over the hectic week.

Marco had been summoned to the infirmary after the first attack left several crew members wounded and he had barely had a chance to leave it with the subsequent ones. Not to mention all the paperwork and reports the other was going through for the damages done. Their moments together were limited to late night cuddles when Ace was already asleep and he was able to sneak away for a few hours. It was not nearly enough time together. Ace needed more.

The sun was just beginning to slip beneath the ocean waves when two warm arms suddenly slipped around Ace’s waist, gently tugging him against a firm body. Ace had stiffened at the touch, his senses not having alerted him to anyone’s presence, but he quickly relaxed, knowing nearly instantly who it was.

“I see they finally let you leave the infirmary,” Ace teased, craning his head back so that he could look up.

A chuckle left Marco, the sound rumbling through his chest. “They can handle it from here, yoi.”

Smiling, Ace reached up and gently tugged Marco’s head lower, planting a slightly sloppy kiss against his lips. “I’ve missed you, birdy.”

”Mm and I you.” Warm lips brushed against Ace’s forehead before a chin was resting atop his head. “It’s been too long since I’ve got to just spend time with you.”

Ace let out a small snort, even as he practically melted backwards into the body behind him. “Tell that to the Marines and those idiot rookies.”

”Maybe I will. I’ll tell them to fuck off and leave us alone because they make it harder for me to spend time with my firefly.”

Cheeks heating up, Ace knocked his head gently into the firm chest behind him. “Don’t tell them that!”

”Why not?” Lips nibbled along the shell of Ace’s ear, the tiniest bit of teeth catching the edges.

“I—they’ll—“ Ace shivered as he suppressed a moan. “They don’t need to know what you call me!”

”Mm perhaps I should say my dear lover instead, yoi?”

A very undignified squeak left Ace. “Marco!”

”Or maybe—“ teeth pulled at his earlobe, hot breath whispering across the skin, “—I should tell them all about the times I get to enjoy you, the things they interrupt. Make them see how infuriating they are when I have to leave your warm side to deal with their nonsense, yoi. The way the only good thing about it is that I get to see your flames dance as they incinerate them. And oh do those flames do things to me.”

Ace was so red in the face with each word Marco spoke that he was surprised he hadn’t burst into flame yet. He was used to him being overly sappy at times, but by the seas he would never get used to it. Especially when his voice got low and deep like it was now, the words rolling through Ace and setting little fires across him that all burned with want.

Lips began to move down his neck, a warm, slightly wet trail left in their wake. The cool evening air brushed against the spots, making Ace shiver again. “Then again, there is something sensual about seeing you out there, covered in flames and absolutely wild in your ferocity.” Marco added. “It certainly makes for some amazing foreplay.”

”You’re such a pervert!”

Ace gasped as lips attached to his pulse point, sucking hard. Not like he had room to talk. Every time he saw Marco in the midst of a fight, his flaming feathers fluttering in the wind and enemy blood splattered across his body, his thoughts always turned dirty, wanting to drag him away right then and there and let him do whatever he wanted to him.

A low chuckle left Marco as lips detached from his skin, trailing back up to his ear. “Oh? Should I not share that? Should I not tell the Marines and the rookie pirates that all they accomplish is making me so turned on I could take you right then and there in the middle of the deck not caring who sees, yoi?”

Ace didn’t even try to hide the groan that left him as the last sentence was whispered into his ear. He threw his head back against the firm muscles behind him and shot a barely heated glower at the tuft of blonde hair he could see. “Bed. Now.”

”Is that a yes?” Marco teased, arms tightening around Ace’s waist.

“No, that was not a yes,” Ace grumbled, fighting against the grip so that he could turn around. “That was a ‘we are going to our room right now and you are going to fuck my brains out.’”

Finally managing to wriggle around until they were chest-to-chest, Ace didn’t miss the way Marco’s pupils dilated at his words, his gaze heating up until it felt like it should burn against Ace’s skin.

“Oh?”

”Now.” Ace grabbed one of the arms around his waist and tugged. He finally freed himself but kept his grip as he dragged the other man behind him, aiming for their room. “You are going to fuck me until I can’t walk and then we are going to cuddle.”

”Is that all?” came the teasing reply from behind him, though Ace could hear the way his breath hitched.

Smirking, Ace shot the look over his shoulder, watching as blue irises were nearly engulfed by black pupils.

“Oh that’s not all,” Ace purred. “I’m not letting you leave the room tomorrow. I want you to absolutely wreck me. I don’t want to be able to move for days without feeling you. I want the entire goddamn world to know what you did to me—to know just how fucking bad I get when they try and keep you away from me.”

Blue flames sparked across muscular shoulders, hints of feathers appearing for the briefest of seconds. A low, chest rattling growl of pure arousal left Marco before he swooped forward, crashing their mouths together in a violent kiss, tongue almost instantly pushing into Ace’s mouth.

“I can do that, yoi,” Marco managed to get out when they separated, their unsteady steps finally bringing them to their door. “I’ll make sure the whole world knows that you belong to me, firefly. And that anything my love wants, my love gets.”

Heat, lust, and love rolled through Ace like an ocean wave driven by a storm. He barely managed to shove their door open before Marco was on him again, the two all but stumbling into the dark room before the door was slammed shut.

They weren’t going to shout it from the crow’s nest that battles felt more like an erotic dance to the two of them than a fight; or that it drove them nearly insane with lust to watch the other fight. But had any of the marines or rookies been around and still alive, there would have been no way on earth for them not to hear the aftermath of their cockiness, to hear the ungodly sounds that came from the little cabin. So maybe it was for the best that  they were all dead, their bodies sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Because Ace was about to get exactly what he wanted, and it wasn’t going to stop anytime soon.
