Weiss hummed nonchalantly, watching the crimson liquid whirl in the glass she was holding between her elegant and long fingers. Her pale blue eyes glanced at the smartly dressed man sitting in front of her as he prattled on and on about god knows what.
He sure loved the sound of his own voice. But for the life of her, she couldn't stay focused even if she tried. Tonight was just another business dinner that got shoved into her by none other than her darling little brother, claiming a last minute emergency and using some flimsy excuse before all but scurrying away to avoid ruthless scrutinizing blue eyes. She knew he was playing hookey with his latest fling; some wide green eyed boy who was a little awkward and uncoordinated for her brother's usual taste but who was she to judge?
She would make him pay in due time…
That wasn't the issue, however, and nor was the boring dinner that was incessantly dragging on. No, her predicament laid in striking silver eyes that never ceased to find her way throughout the whole time she was sitting at that table. Ones that belonged to the most enchanting woman Weiss had had the pleasure to see, sitting across from her table. Short, messy yet stylish reddish hair, cute button nose, high cheekbones and plump lips in the form of a bordering on annoying smirk… and the low, warm lights of the restaurant only served to accentuate her lovely features.
The woman seemed to be almost goading Weiss. What for exactly? She didn't know exactly. Or she did know but wasn't too keen on putting words on the idea. Else, she would do something unadvised for in the middle of a dinner with an important investor. Boring, but nonetheless important.
She hummed again, if only to give the pretense that she was actually listening to the man, and forced her eyes away from the sinfully beautiful woman. It was unfair how that deep red silly blouse hugged her figure so well.
It was torturous in the most delightful ways. She felt that gaze pierce through her like millions of tiny pinpricks, tingling her skin and causing heat to rise. It was getting more and more difficult for her to tear her eyes away from the tantalizing woman and not get lost in her whenever she dared throw a glance her way…
A sudden loud ringtone startled her and brought her away from not so pure thoughts. The man excused himself as he got up and walked away to answer what appeared to be an important call.
Weiss sighed. Finally a reprieve.
Blue eyes yet again found mesmerizing silver in an intense staring contest. A few moments passed, Weiss couldn't be sure how long, when the other woman let her tongue out to swipe her lower lip in an agonizing slow movement before biting it. Weiss' breath hitched… that heathen… She took her glass of wine and busied herself with it in a poor attempt to hide her profused blush.
“Miss Schnee.” Ah right, the investor. The man approached Weiss with a regretful expression on his face. “I am deeply sorry, but I have to cut this lovely dinner short. I am needed elsewhere but I'll be sure to make it up to you in our next meeting. We’ve got so much more to discuss.”
Weiss resisted the urge to roll her eyes at that last sentence. “It's no problem at all, Mister Lionheart. In fact, I'll be sure to bring my brother next time. He’ll be thrilled to hear everything you say.”
The man beamed before dipping his head and excusing himself.
She reclined slightly in her seat and was contemplating on ordering another glass of wine when she felt something wet graze her hand. Weiss looked down and was met with the most adorable corgi. She bent down to scratch his chin and cooed at the way the small dog barked cutely.
Weiss was surprised to see him then figured this restaurant must be pet friendly. Her fingers toyed absentmindedly at his collar, lightly brushing at the name on the plate ‘Zwei’, when she noticed a piece of paper tucked inside of it.
Curiously, she pulled it out and unfolded it only to find a scrambling yet endearing hand-writing.
Hi! You're really pretty! :D
Weiss raised a perfect eyebrow and peered through lashes towards the red haired woman, figuring this was from her. She found her smiling and waving at her and Weiss could barely suppress her own grin.
She fetched a pen from her purse and scribbled a response before sending Zwei with it back to his owner.
Hello… Thanks. The note said; it was undeniably aloof but that didn't seem to deter the woman as she enthusiastically started to write on that piece of paper.
Zwei came trotting back to Weiss like the cute, diligent messenger he was. She untucked the folded note and petted him.
Are you single?
She almost let out a snort and rolled her eyes.
No. Happily married in fact.
Aww bummer! :( but I'm sure your wife wouldn't mind if I bought you a drink. ^^
This time, Weiss snorted inelegantly. She looked up and saw the woman wiggling her eyebrows at her. What a presumptuous little minx.
Wife? What makes you think I have a wife and not a husband?
You just seem like a girl kisser :3 And I think your wife also wouldn't mind if you gave me a kiss. ;)
Weiss had to bite her lip not to giggle at these silly little exchanges as she scratched Zwei behind his ear. She was pondering on her answer when an unwelcome voice pierced through her bubble.
“I’m sorry but I couldn't help but notice you’re sitting here all by yourself.”
A young man stood at her table, carrying two margarita glasses. “I wanted to bring you another glass of wine but one could never go wrong with margaritas.” he said while sending her what he probably thought was a charming smile.
He had blue hair, shaved on the side and was dressed formally in a light blue suit. He had that edgy boyish charm that Weiss thought would probably work on some girls judging by the confidence he carried himself with. But she just found it all so grating, especially that smarmy expression on his face.
Before she could muster a harsh retort though, she caught a glimpse of glaring gunmetal eyes paired with a frown. Weiss smirked to herself… This was going to be extremely entertaining.
Very slowly, she crossed one leg over the other, using the slit of her off white dress that cut to her thighs to showcase her creamy skin. Weiss felt the man's gaze get drawn to them but that wasn't the pair of eyes she was interested in.
She threw a deliberate glance towards the other woman. “What makes you think I'm by myself?” She drawled, lacing every syllable with a certain sensuality that didn't go unnoticed by a certain someone.
“Well, because-”
Whatever the blue haired idiot was saying faded in the background as blue and silver merged together in a heated stare. Without breaking contact, Weiss ran a finger at the hem of the plunging neckline of her dress that showed a generous amount of her cleavage. Back and forth, all the way down then back up. The redhead seemed transfixed.
Then, their eyes met again and Weiss smirked when she saw the woman abruptly getting up and striding towards her table. She took the liberty to admire those toned panted legs taking long and determined strides.
She brushed past the man, purposely bumping his shoulder and nearly making him spill the drinks. She slid next to Weiss, rested her arm behind her on the chair then gently grabbed her chin and kissed her without any preamble.
Weiss sighed into the kiss and hummed pleasurably at the sweet taste of it. She buried her hand in soft reddish hair and scratched, earning a sound of delight from the woman.
“Why, hello to you too, Ruby.” Weiss whispered after breaking the kiss and giggled when Ruby chased her lips for another kiss.
“Um…” the man articulated, still standing there dumbly.
Weiss clicked her tongue in annoyance and reluctantly broke away from Ruby's embrace and stood. “As you can see, I was simply waiting for my wife here. Thank you for the drinks though.” She said before taking the two margaritas in his hands and sliding back to her seat.
To Weiss’ amusement, the man’s jaw hung open. He fumbled a bit on his word before making a hasty leave.
She shook her head and turned to her wife only to find an adorable pout. “Something’s the matter, Ruby?”
“I know what you were doing.”
“Oh? Do tell.”
“Weiiiss” Ruby whined. “You were letting that asshole ogle you!”
“Swear jar for you, Ruby Schnee-Rose.”
Ruby frowned and jutted her lips out even more adorably. “Do not deflect, Weiss Schnee-Rose.”
Weiss chuckled and extended her hand to smooth the crinkle between Ruby’s brows. She smiled softly when the redhead took her hand and planted a soft kiss on her palm. “Call it payback for being such a distraction on an important business dinner.”
Ruby huffed. “Please, you were bored to death. I just couldn't let my wife fend for herself.”
Weiss rolled her eyes. “My hero.”
Ruby grinned before her expression shifted to something more sensual. “So…” she trailed, voice vibrating low and taking that deep tone that sent shivers down Weiss’ spine as she threaded her fingers with hers. “I still think your wife wouldn't mind if you gave me a kiss.”
At that, Weiss let out a hearty laugh and shoved Ruby's shoulder. She then shuffled closer and cradled her wife’s cheeks.
“Dolt.” She murmured between their lips before connecting them in a deep and loving kiss.
