Summary
Inspired by the novel Midwich Cuckoos, or the two Village of the Damned movies. This story takes place in the small town of Midwich, Missouri where a strange occurrence has brought Rachel Karson in to investigate. A call from a friend asking for her help to figure out what is going on has led Rachel here. The government has quarantined twenty-six women and female children, with a fear that whatever is happening to them could keep spreading. Rachel's two daughters have come with her, since she has nowhere else for them to go at the moment. Something strange is indeed going on in Midwich, Missouri, but can Rachel uncover the truth while keeping those she loves safe from harm? Or is it already too late the moment she crossed over into the town's boarders?
