Notes:

I have such an writer block omg. I just can't be bothered writing parts of M&M fan continuation so here is something new 😭 I'm trying out a little bit different writing style, also there's no beta reader so please tell me if there are mistakes. English is not my first language so it might be reallyyyy bad. Also, the timeline of PJO might be all over the place cuz I can't be bothered with researching who is alive at the end of all the books

Chapter 1: Demi-Gods can't take a break, don't they?

Summary:

“One who walks with Chaos himself, and boy with six faces as its tails,

Chapter Text

A young man breathed out, looking around the field. Specifically, his name was Percy. Percy Jackson. Maybe he should start introducing himself like that? That’s a great idea. Anyways, it was long since he was last seen in Camp Half-Blood. Recently he graduated and wanted to see this place with his girlfriend once more.

“It’s good to be back, isn’t it?” Annabeth asked, approaching from behind. Her blonde, curly hair was put up in a high ponytail. “Yeah. Hope after the last war, this time things will be peaceful to the end.” He answered, even if he knew that saying that could spoil all of it, he truly hoped it to be true. Now, he should just relax, talk with his friends, train with some newbies.

He grinned when he saw Valdez running towards them. He was – as always – dirty with motor oil. Though he opened a mechanical shop with Calypso, he still spends most of his time in the camp. It’s the place he feels best in, after all.

“Percy! Beth! Didn’t see you two for so long!” He finally caught up to them. “Others are already there!” Percy got taken a back for a moment “Others? “ He asked. “why would everyone be here?” Leo’s grin disappeared. “You don’t know? Rachel got a new prophecy. I thought you two are here for that.” Annabeth’s brows furrowed. “That’s… bad.” Leo agreed and ordered them to follow him to the main house.

Since they left, a lot of new campers came in. Camp Half-Blood was thriving as ever. He saw people laugh together, other sparring in the sun. Some people were talking with the nayads which is frankly – rare, since they just pull people into the lake. Kids of Dionysius tending to the strawberry fields, Children of Apollo dancing, singing and playing instruments with Driads… Nothing could interrupt it. Even some weird prophecy.

They got to the meeting room where all leaders of the cabins were and – of course – the remaining members of the big seven. Even Nico found time . It seems to be serious.

Rachel was sitting next to Chiron, her face blank. Wait, now that he looks, everyone looks kind of tense. “Great, now that everyone’s here, I have something important to say.” She breathed in, as if preparing to say something hard to get out of her throat. “I’ve gotten a new prophecy. Most of you heard it already but I’ll repeat it.”

“One who walks with Chaos himself, and boy with six faces as its tails,

From a blossoming land they strife, as they come to bring peace or war.

Foes or friends, only one man could discern,

When Six-faced one blinds fates with his sheer strength”

Percy blinked a couple of times. Chaos? Six faced boy? It… sounds weird.

“Chaos? Do you think they mean… The Chaos?” Annabeth asked. She was tense, just like Percy. After all, those people could start another war. It’s really bad news. Rachel shook her head “I don’t know. Usually prophecies don’t simply say the name of the God we’re dealing with so maybe…” Nico stood up. “Still, it sounds bad. Six-faced guy who blinded fates? With his sheer strength?” He’s got a point. Those two could be really… hard nuts to crack if they are foes after all.

They were staying at the camp, since they didn’t know what mission should they dispatch. They tried to discuss it, but no one could come up with any clear predictions of what’s about to come. What even is a blossoming land? Percy yawned as he was laying in his cabin, as alone as ever. Of course, he could sneak into Athena cabin, bur Harpies wouldn’t be happy.

He was slowly drifting asleep…

He was in some big city, standing next to a shipping container. In the distance Percy could see five sky scrapers. “Where am I?” He thought. He heard some commotion from inside the shipping container. He blinked, and he was inside. Those.. People..? He could see that they were people but… He couldn’t see them well. They were just ghosts and on their places was a… six tailed fox and a mass of black fire. Huh. Wait. Six tailed fox?

“One who walks with Chaos himself, and boy with six faces as its tails”

“It’s tails Maybe it meant the fox..?” They were speaking Japanesse. He didn’t understand until… he could. He still heard Japanesse. But somehow… it made sense to him.

“I swear to God, why do we have to go to fuckin’ New York? Sure, there are some warrior kids but why would that concern us?” The black wall of fire said.“Now, now, C̸̮̪̬͎͕̫̗̏͗́̆h̴̬̦͉͇̍̽u̴͔̗̣͉̗̻̱̔͒̎u̶͇͇͙̪̇́͛͋́͛͗ȳ̷̡̛̬̤̤̭͕̆́̈́͜͝a̵̪̫̍̋͂͑̽̕ Bosses orders!” The fox replied with a teasing voice. But… what was that name..? What? “I swear to A̴͖̩̺̰͖͔̥̩̖̜̠̯͂̿͑̽͒͌͗̈́̂͒̅̐̕r̵̢̭̮͉͇͔̯̖͕̀̃ã̸̛̪̺̜͎̝͔̫͍̭̐̽̂́̂̄͋̔̽̑́̾͜h̷̞̥̥̱̣͓̩̏̒̉͂̓́́͠a̴̦̠̙͐̐̂̔̃̿͗̎̊͆͝b̵̢̨̨̹̹͍̣̥̫̱͈̗͔͚̓͑̈͌͗̓̉͑̓̐ā̶̟̺͇͑̐̇͆̈́͝͠͠k̶̮̰̣̳̣̱̞̲̻͎͈͔̟̟̀͊̂ͅį̵̢͙̙̝̤̩̹͎̞̤̰̘̝̭̎͠ , one day I’ll kill you” What are those names? Why can’t he remember them?

Suddenly scenery changed. He was in a bar, two men in suits were sitting there, drinking something. “Did you hear that The Demon Prodigy and that newbie are leaving to New York?” One of them asked. “Yeah! That’s great, I won’t fear for my life as much…”

The scenery changed once more. He was sitting in a traditional Japanese living room, but he couldn’t see anyone. He could hear voices… “A̴͖̩̺̰͖͔̥̩̖̜̠̯͂̿͑̽͒͌͗̈́̂͒̅̐̕r̵̢̭̮͉͇͔̯̖͕̀̃ã̸ ̛̪̺̜͎̝͔̫͍̭̐̽̂́̂̄͋̔̽̑́̾͜h̷̞̥̥̱̣͓̩̏̒̉͂̓́́͠a̴͐̐͝ ̦̠̙̂̔̃̿͗̎̊͆b̵̢̨̨̹̹͍̣̥̫̱͈̗͔͚̓͑̈͌͗̓̉͑̓̐ā̶͑̐͝͠͠ ̟̺͇̇͆̈́k̶̮̰̣̳̣̱̞̲̻͎͈͔̟̟̀͊̂ͅį̵̢͙̙̝̤̩̹͎̞̤̰̘̝̭̎͠ Got captured eight years ago. We have to find His vessel. He’s dangerous.” A booming, powerful masculine voice run out. “But Izanagi, why not let Him roam?” A female, sweet yet chilling voice retorted. The supposed “Izanagi” huffed. “ I know that you want to see humans suffer, but I’d rather have them live a little longer, Shinigami. Destruction and Chaos that He brings could overpower the most powerful Gods from other pantheons.”

He was in a dark void. Why some names he understands and some not? It doesn’t make sense. Who… is “Him”? Is that…

“One who walks with Chaos himself, and a boy with six faces as it’s tails.”

So those are people from the prophecy. Then, he woke up.

After reading this file, it shall be burned immediately.

“So you finally decided to let me look at the file, huh?” The ginger boy said as he slowly burned the same file the bandaged one had in his hand a second ago. Now, he was on the floor, clutching his stomach. “That's a shame I had to rip it away from you.” The other boy scowled dramatically and laid on the floor, as if he was dying. “Chuuya is such a brute! How can you do that to your master, your best friend, your partner in crime?!” He whined, fake tears escaping his eyes. Chuuya just huffed as he dropped the burning file into the fireplace.

He sat in his velvet couch and sighed. This will be a lot of work, huh. After a while, Dazai stood up as well and dusted off his clothes. He sat in the spinning chair of Chuuya’s office and started spinning in it. What a Dazai thing to do. Was the only thought that came up in Chuuya's mind.

He suddenly stopped. “Remember when I first brefied you on the mission two days ago?” He asked, suddenly becoming serious. The Ginger raised his eyebrow. “Yeah, I’m not fuckin’ stupid, of course I remember.” The brunette rolled his eyes. “Yeah yeah, whatever. When we were talking in my shipping container, I felt my ability going off. I don’t know why. Something or someone was watching us.” The shorter one freezed and slowly sat up from the couch. “You think…” The brunette nods.

Two last days were packed with experiences. Mori booked them a meeting with a historian, telling them all about Greek Gods, their history, and the ones that they have to avoid angering. (all of them) The historian told them about visions and dreams that the demigods received from Gods as guidances in things they want those poor people to do. For a long time they wondered, why did he even bother, until Mori sent them on another trip, to a shaman.

“I heard that one of you needs help finding out which Deity blessed you” An elderely man said, sitting on the ground. “Your name is Oozai, right?” He asked after a moment.

Why the hell are we here? Dazai thought.

“Dazai.” The brunette corrected. The shaman nodded “I knew that.” He closed his eyes and started humming to himself. Two boys looked at each other with confusion.

The shaman’s eyes opened, full fo shock and fear. “Your soul… is dark and corrupted yet… You… have a blessing off..” He stopped for a second, thinking about this. “Of The Divinie Kitsune.” What. “The Divine Kitsune is a familiar of Inari, the Shinto deity of rice, fertility, and prosperity. The power it lent you is purifying curses, spells and even can blind Gods of different pantheons…” the man continued. “He slowly looked at the ginger boy. “You on the other hand… are pure Chaos. I want you out. Get out of my sight. I’ll have to cleanse this place.”

So, they left. Chuuya chuckled. “So that’s why your ability is called No Longer Human. It’s a blessing from a Kitsune.” Dazai pouted. “Not fair! You are my dog, not the other way around! Give me Arahabaki and I’ll give you that Zenko!” Chuuya rolled his eyes and shook his head. “First of all, I wish I could. That guy never stops talking unless you touch me, and you know it. Second of all, no way in hell that your Deity is a Zenko, your personality is more like Yako.” Dazai just pouted once more and whined about how mean Chuuya was.

-

“So some demigod had a dream about us…” The shorter boy concluded. “But you think your ability is stopping them from knowing stuff?” He asked, and the brunette nodded. “I think that… I can place protection on those who I do not wish to be cursed. Or used ability on. I guess. It’s just a theory.” That’s the dumbest shit they’ve ever heard, but sure. We ball.

After that, they parted ways. Two more days until the departure to New York. How fun.

Notes:

Sorry if all those Japanesse terminology stuff is hard to understand and if some of it is incorrect. Tell me if I should continue this :3

☆(watered down) Japanesse Mythology lesson☆
