Hey everyone! I’m currently working on a fic (I’m about 25 chapters in so far), and I wanted to share the synopsis and see if anyone has any requests or suggestions for scenes, character dynamics, plot ideas, smut, or anything else you’d like to see. Since I still have a lot of editing to do, I thought it’d be fun to incorporate some of your ideas to make the story even better! (see tags to get a better idea of the vibe I'm going for)
This fic will have a happy ending, but expect a good dose of angst early on (especially in the first chapters). It’s a bit of a slow burn from Felix’s perspective, but there will be POV chapters from the rest of OT8 relatively early on—and those will include smut!
I’m not a fan of heavy abuse, sexual assault, drug themes, or excessive trauma in fics, so you won’t find much (if any) of that here. I don’t want to give too much away about the plot yet, but feel free to drop questions in the comments, and I’ll answer as vaguely yet helpfully as possible (lol) to help with your requests.
We *really* need more long-form OT8 fics on AO3—I’ve been starving for them and feel like I’ve read everything out there. That’s what inspired me to write this one. I hope this fic encourages others to write more, too!
I’d like this to be a longer fic (at least 40-50 chapters). The first half will focus on Felix’s backstory, lifestyle, dynamics, bonding with the pack, and his journey to acceptance. The second half will be more lighthearted, with fluff and filler chapters.
Once I have at least half the story fully written and edited (and the rest at least partly written), I’ll start posting. My plan is to upload two chapters a week once I start so I don’t leave you hanging for 6 months or something if I hit writer’s block! I’m aiming to post the first chapters by next month or March at the latest.
