Arisugawa's Locket
Chapter 126
"Welcome to Arisugawa's Locket," Alpha smiled, the green haired android doing greeter duty that night.
"Hi," the pretty blond smiled, looking around. "Toriko Nishina. Is this bar in the Otherside?" she asked.
"Not that I'm aware of," Alpha answered honestly.
"So how did we end up here?" the brown haired woman asked. She had one eye that was bright blue, while the other was a normal brown.
"What does your eye see, Sorawo?" Toriko asked.
Sorawo Kamikoshi frowned, "It looks more... stable than Otherside does. Bit of an odd glow around things though."
"Okay!" Toriko said excitedly, "let's go get a drink."
"Toriko..." Sorawo sighed but followed her in.
This was a very, very odd bar though, Sorawo thought. There was the usual bar, dance floor and a small stage. But there was ALSO a good sized library off to one side... and in her odd, 'Otherside' vision, everything was overlaid in a weird rainbow effect.
"What can I get you?" Ryouko the alien Space Pirate smiled, her rainbow colored hair flowing down her back, dressed in a black and red bodysuit.
"Beer," Toriko ordered their regular. "You take Yen, right?" she double checked.
Ryouko filled two mugs as she quoted them a price.
"That's cheap," Sorawo blinked.
"Shhh!" Toriko shushed her as she paid. "Thank you," she told Ryouko, then both women turned to look at the customers.
Which was also odd, Sorawu mused. There were only women, but WOW such women! Almost everyone was stunningly good looking, and their clothes... There were the usual dresses and such. But she saw women in armor, rubber, latex and in at least one case, shiny body paint.
"You're drooling," Toriko noted dryly.
"Hey!" Sorawu blushed.
Toriko savored her beer, looking thoughtfully at her. "After we finish our drinks, wannna dance?" she asked, smiling.
"Eh? I've never...," Sorawu admitted, blushing a little.
"Well, no time like the present," Toriko declared, finishing her beer, taking Sorawu's hand and drawing her to the dance floor.

Alpha visibly frowned as the purple haired woman came up the hall.
Shiori Takatsuki winced slightly. "Alpha, hello," she said bravely, "is Juri in?"
Alpha frowned at her, possibly debating telling her to pound sand. "Yes," her politeness won out, "she's in her office in back."
"Thank you," Shiori went in. She walked across the dance floor towards the back, noting Ryouko also giving her the stink eye. 'Oh hell, I guess everyone knows?' she thought, sighing.
Mai Tokhia bustled out of the kitchen carrying someone's food order, and ALSO gave her a look. "Did your new boss pay you well?" she snarked.
Shiori just sighed and ignored that. She walked on to the manager's office, then knocked briskly.
"Come in," Juri called.
Shiori opened the door and stepped inside, then quickly closed the door behind her.
Juri gave her a level look, "I really didn't expect to see you here."
Shiori sighed, "Juri, I promise you I had NO idea Sonomi was going to spring that on you. If I had, I would have warned you."
Juri gave her an assessing look, and Shiori made herself meet Juri's gaze. She was telling the truth, damn it.
Juri finally sighed, "Okay, maybe." Accusingly she asked, "But how the hell did she know everything else?"
"Private investigators," Shiori answered her bluntly. As Juri looked surprised she added, "She's spent a LOT investigating you, I ended up processing the invoices. I didn't know she was looking into YOU at the time."
"Well, shit. How much did she get?" Juri had to ask.
"A lot," Shiori took out a zip drive and passed it over. "Your file, and Setsuna-samas. She also had shorter ones on your key staff."
Juri looked even less happy about that. "Is she still...?" she asked.
"As far as I know, she's taking a wait and see approach," Shiori answered honestly. "I think if you're ever in financial trouble, she might try something."
"Oh joy," Juri sighed.
Rather crossly Shiori then asked her, "Did you tell EVERYONE that I helped Sonomi move against you?"
Juri winced.
"Oh great," Shiori sighed.

The tall, slim elf was dressed in Earth clothes, and was clearly annoyed at surrendering her bow. "Do all have to do this?" Tuka Luna Marceau asked, frowning.
"Sorry," Mahoro apologized. The cyborg added, "I promise we'll keep it safe."
Rory Mercury passed over her axe as the gothic loli warned, "Be careful, it's heavy." Then she looked surprised that Mahoro handled it easily.
Mari Kurokawa, the tall black haired nurse, and Shino Kuribayashi (Sargeant First Class) of the JSDF were accompanying the two women, and looking around curiously.
"HOW is a Japanese bar in the middle of the Special Region?" Mari wondered aloud.
"It's an unusual bar," Mahoro explained.
( Mari and Shino were part of a Japanese expedition through a interdimensional gate. A armed force from a fantasy based universe had attacked Japan, so their military was sent through to find out what they were dealing with. They had rescued the elf Tuka from a dragon attack, and Rory had joined them later...)
"Shino! Come with me!" Rory ordered, taking the brown haired woman's hand and leading her to the dancers.
"Yes! I haven't danced in months," Shino agreed.
"Wait...," Tuka started, NOT wanting to be left alone with her crush.
Mari chuckled softly as she suggested, "Let's get a drink, first." She looked at Mahoro, "Could we get some beer?"
"Certainly," Mahoro smiled.
"Thank you," Tuka took two mugs, along with Mari, each getting an extra for the other two. They found an open table, and sat.
Tuka had been quietly nursing a crush on Mari, but hadn't really DONE anything about it. Especially with her being wrapped up in grieving for her father and avenging her people against the red dragon that had killed him...
Out on the dance floor, Rory and Shino were dancing. "Did you intentionally leave Tuka with Mari?" Shino asked.
"Of course," Rory agreed, "Luka's been mooning after Mari for awhile."
"She certainly blushes around her alot," Shino agreed.
"Besides," Rory gave her a smouldering look, "I like you."
Shino looked surprised, "I thought you didn't like...?"
"I hate someone forcing me, like Emroy," Rory corrected. "Other than that..."
"Ah," Shino nodded.

"Rum," Revy ordered after surrendering her pistols reluctantly.
"Whiskey," Jane said, the blond woman pushing up her glasses. She took in the crowd as she noted, "Busy night?"
Nabiki, who had stopped by to warn Revy not to start any brawls, made a face. "Busier than I'd like, honestly."
"How the hell does this bar pop up in Roanapur, anyway?" Revy had to ask.
"Whoops, trouble. Gotta go," Nabiki hurried off.
"Let's grab a table," Jane led her off.
Once they were sitting Revy scowled at Jane, "Okay, you wanted to see me. So talk."
"Were you serious when you threatened me?" Jane asked.
Revy blinked, then realized what Jane meant. Not THAT long ago, Jane had suggested that she wanted to bang Rock too, and Revy had threatened to basically FUCK Jane into submission. It had shut her right up.
"Seriously?" Revy looked at her thoughtfully.
Jane turned her glass in her hands, "I really am a nympho, you know. I don't... I don't get satisfied, even if I tired poor Benny right out." She sounded frustrated as hell.
"Any you want me to...?" Revy drank some rum as Jane nodded. "You been tested?" she checked.
"Me and Benny both. I'm not THAT stupid," Jane admitted.
Finishing off her drink Revy got up, "What the hell. We'll rent a upstairs room. Come on."
"Uh, right," Jane followed.
"Have you ever tried fisting...?"

Notes: Just watched Otherside Picnic. Good series.
Been rewatching GATE. Interesting series. Canonly Luka blushes a lot around Mari. Shino and Rory is admittedly more of a crack ship.
It is actually canon that Revy threatens to fuck Jane in the Peking Duck arc of Black Lagoon.
