    Cornelius Aristide Nerva is a young mage from Tevinter, striving to balance his great ambition with his precarious position on the lowest rung of the nobility in Thedas’ most dangerous magocracy.
    Without a satisfying title or a powerful enough family, you are nothing, and there will always be someone above you to remind you of your place. Keep your head down, deflect compliments but reap their rewards, use every weapon at your disposal, and above all, measure every gesture, every word, and every smile. Keep your emotions tightly controlled; let nothing slip through the carefully crafted image you’ve built. Only by doing so can you make your way in life, without disappointing the expectations others have projected onto you and that you have since made your own.
    Cornelius has always firmly believed this.

    But when he meets someone who sees what he hides beneath the surface and tries to break down the walls he has so meticulously constructed, he will have to confront the person he is and the person he wants to be.

    This is entirely set in Tevinter. It takes place slightly before the First Blight.
    It's part of the biggest DA project in which I toss every possible protagonist into the main story.
