Chapter 9
The final battle
In space, the rebels detected it as the shield flickered and fell. The fighters, led by the Millenium Falcon, immediately began an attack run into the Death Star. All Birds were taking part in this.
Meanwhile, Luke wasn't having a good time. Emperor was trying to anger him more and more. Finally, Like snapped and tried to attack the Emperor, but Vader stopped him. Luke and Vader then began to fight. It took a long time and effort, but Luke defeated Vader and cut off one of his mechanical hands, the one that held the lightsaber.
The Emperor then told Luke to kill Vader. But Luke realized what was going on. He refused and dropped his lightsaber, declaring himself to be a Jedi, like his father before him.
This infuriated the Emperor and he began killing Luke with his Force lightning. But, while we was doing it, he didn't notice something was changing in Vader. Not until Vader picked him, carried him and threw him into the ventilation shaft.
He didn't die immediately. In a surprising coincidence, the Emperor landed right on top of Red’s X-wing. Absolutely furious, he could do nothing but unleash his Force lightning at Red’s ship.
-I have a problem here - Red said. - This crazy old man is damaging my systems! I can't shake him.
-Stand by - Chuk said. He then fired, hitting the Emperor and pushing him off the ship, straight before the cannons of Red’s X-wing. Red then opened fire and it finally killed the Emperor.
-You could have shot me down! - Red shouted to Chuk.
-I saved you, but you still complain - Chuk said. - But you’re welcome.
The fighters soon reached the power generator. It was huge. And the empty space around it was even bigger.
The fighters (and the Falcon) immediately opened fire at the generator. As soon as they detected an instability growing in the generator, they turned around and flew out of the Death Star.
Luke also left the station in an Imperial shuttle, carrying also the body of his father, who returned to light by sacrificing himself to save Luke.
As the Birds were leaving the station, they noticed that the TIE Advanced left it as well. They briefly saw two cockatoos inside before it entered hyperspace.
-Nigel and Gigel - Chuck commented. - They're going back to Earth.
A moment later, the last X-wing and the Falcon left the Death Star. The station exploded almost immediately after.
The rebels then gathered on Endor and a celebration began. Soon, they received reports that all over the galaxy, people were rising up and the Empire was falling.
-It seems that our work here is done - Nancy said.
-Yes - Jonh said. - We’re going back to Earth tomorrow.
-I have the ship secured and modified properly - Roger said. - And the Death Star plans loaded into its computer.
-Good - Jonh said. - They will be useful.
The next day, the Birds, Swallows and amazons boarded the ship and took off from Endor./ They soon returned to Earth, a few weeks after they left it.
Soon after they arrived on Earth, they met with Jim Turner.
-The Empire has been take care of - Jonh said to him. - And we have some new technologies you will find useful. But Nigel and Gigel escaped from exile. We may have to deal with them in the future.
