Another long silence, before Storm responded, “I don’t know … Beast needs more time to test its technology, but from what we know it seems like an AI powered machine.”
“An AI powered machine that wanted to kill us or at the very least destroy a safe haven for mutants.” Scott spoke calmly, letting everything fade away as he stepped into his role, “A machine that was branded with Tony Stark's name.”
The room fell silent again, as if a great secret had been spoken. Like somehow the facts alone were enough to let the cat out of the bag. Scott couldn’t stop the festering anger that sat in his chest, laying bare as confusion and fear gnawed at it. He needed answers, “Storm, will you lead the team while I’m gone?”
“Where are you going?” Gambit stared at him, his expression unreadable.
“… I have some questions and if anyone would have an idea on how to answer them, it would be Captain America.”

DUO Scott and Steve POV'sThis is loosely based after End Game, with Steve not leaving to stay with Peggy, while also tying in X-Men '97 into the mix. ( I will keep some X-Men movie stuff canon, like sentinels not being a thing until now)
