It had turned out that Chips and Wheezy had arrived at the apartment building just as Cuphead woke up. Chips told him they had heard him screaming because he left his window open and they came rushing up to his room. "Why did you come here in the first place?" They sat on the couch, Cuphead in the middle wrapped up in a blanket and eating his bowl of oatmeal with Daisy cooing on his lap. "You were s'posed to come back to work today, remember?" Chips answered, and motioned to the calendar on the wall beside them. There was small, messy handwriting on the box for October 2nd, and Cuphead sighed. "Shit that's right..."

(Just a heads up, my editing for fics is pretty sporadic. I'll add a little bit, update it, look at something, then add a bit more not long after. Sometimes I'll just leave a fic alone for a LONG time, unfinished until I get the motivation or time to pick it back up (*cough* almost every other fic I have on here *cough*) so please be patient with my awful updates and time management 😔)
