Summary
The essence of Duel Monsters has been a game of wits and the intelligent. This same game, five-thousand years ago, was played among Egypt, a ruling empire who toyed with the very essence of monsters, life, and death. Five-thousand years ago in that same day and age, a wise, ancient Pharaoh ruled Egypt alongside the high court, the Sacred Guardians—guiding the kingdom with wise and fair justice… or so the stories say as they have been uncovered in time. In the present, as his memories were wiped clean, he came to find peace with his present reincarnation, Yugi Muto, along with the help of his all-powerful Millennium Item: the Millennium Puzzle. Having battled foes, faced enemies, and wiped the fields with friends and family supporting them, the journey to become “king” is ongoing—lying in the heart of the Battle City finals and beyond.
