"Wow, look at that!" Yuuko pointed, as the group came to Sunyshore city, a city that is very solar-oriented. Seeing the roads have built-in solar panels, it's apparent that Sunyshore might be a very good to live in, if you're obsessed with reusing electrcity, anyway.
"I see you've managed to reach Sunyshore city. This is where the last Contest, and the final Pokémon gym is." Said a man with a bright red afro.
"I'm Flint, one of Sinnoh's Elite 4, primarily of the Fire type. The gym leader here, Volkner, has been in a bit of a blue period, as many challengers haven't given him a good battle in a long time." He told them, seeing that Ash had 7 badges, thinking he might be what snaps Volkner out of it.
"You sure you can take Volkner on? He's a master of Electric type Pokémon." Flint hinted, giving Ash the info needed to properly prepare for this upcoming gym.
"I'll take it!" Ash enthusiastically replied, taking the time to do some training, before the gym. Out of all his Pokémon, Gabite had yet to reach his final form, and since he was good against Electric types, Ash began to work out some kinks. The others, having gone around town seeing what Sunyshore has to offer, ran into someone who had a really distinct look to Cyrus.
"I'll say, you look really similar to him." Dawn mentioned, as the man, Ato, revealed himself to be Cyrus' grandfather.
"I remember the amount of times his parents had admitted to me of how they never liked Cyrus, and felt there was something wrong with him." Ato said, feeling bad about not doing enough to prevent Cyrus from having the childhood he had.
"I guess that might add up to what he did, later on in life." Yuuko responded, as the 4 went on, wishing Ato well. Later, Yugi went down to the beach, seeing a young woman, who looked to not be from here.
"Hello, my name is Jasmine. I am Olivine City's Gym Leader." Jasmine greeted, Brock and Yugi head over heels for her.
"Man, you're beautiful! I bet there are women just as beautiful as you!" Brock loudly exclaimed, as Yugi ended up getting a nosebleed.
"Brock? It's been a long time! How's the Pewter gym coming along? Jasmine recognized, snapping Brock back to reality.
"It's been going great! We've had a bit of an influx in new challengers coming and challenging the gym. How about you?" Brock replied, interested in hearing about Olivine's gym progress.
"Well, I've actually gotten some gym trainers, after many have said Olivine's gym was too boring and uneventful." Jasmine replied, as the two talked about their gyms, while Yugi and Yuuko were walking on the sand.
"You know, it's crazy how being around people can really change your perspective on most things." Yuuko said, having went from a snooty know-it-all to a humbled, more open trainer.
