Everything was ephemeral: her memories, her thoughts, her life…It was all fleeting. The smoke that drifted away, vanished into thin air, was such a mirror image of her life.
She brought joy to those around her, but only for a short time, before everything disappeared and was replaced by pain, distrust and agony.
The moon was visible, but not the stars. She would have loved to see them again. She would have loved to show them the sky from that hill — where she loved stargazing — and watch the stars by their side. To have them in her arms, to smell their familiar and comforting scent.
And above all, to tell them that she loved them deeply, despite everything that had happened.
