A strong elephant roar was heard all around Bellwood as several civilians were running away from the criminal.
Usually in most towns were a strong criminal that was strong to punch buildings away with a singular punch, they would be terrified of the criminal, but in Bellwood, most of them were treating this like it was normal, only really being running just to not get hurt.
However, in Bellwood, there was a Hero that everyone believed in as he appeared the moment when he heard trouble.
“Give it a rest, Trombipulor! Eye’m getting tired of your shtick.” Ben Tennyson, also known as Ben 10, was currently in his Eye Guy transformation as he was shooting mass arays of light beams coming all around his body. At the same time while doing so, was making eye puns throughout the entire battle.
Eye Guy kept dodging several objects being thrown at him due to Trombipulor only really having super strength for battle or even using his beams to disintegrate the objects being thrown at him.
Eye Guy kept running at him at him, pursuing him until the elephant criminal stopped, shooting beams of light coming from his palms.
“Ow! Stop attacking me!” yelled Trombipulor as he felt all of the bullets being shot at his back.
“Fat chance!” yelled Eye Guy until he stopped and closed all of the eyes around his entire body as they concentrated into one massive eye that came out of his chest shooting a rather massive beam of green light at the elephant, knocking him down on his stomach. “Ha! Looks like eye got you!”
Eye Guy then began to run straight towards Trombipulor to try incapacitate him until the Plumbers come, but as soon as he was in range, the elephant grabbed the nearest telephone pole to smack Eye Guy across the town, slamming him into a building.
That was enough for Ben to return to his regular self as he rubbed his head.
“Ahh, that stinks!” Ben said as he then saw the elephant running straight at him.
“Now you’re dead!” yelled Trombipulor as he charged at him at full force.
Just as Ben was about to reach towards his Omnitrix, from the corner of his eye he saw a green portal open up.
And from it, he saw a man that was around his age with a decently built body, wearing tight blue, yellow and black spandex, wearing googles and leaving his hair open. The man then saw Trombipulor charging at Ben so he closed on him.
“I GOT YOU!” yelled the man as he flew at hypersonic speeds, punching Trombipulor with enough force to cause a small shockwave, of which Ben was unaffected by, making the massive elephant fly towards a truck, leaving a noticeable crack on it, leaving him there with swirly eyes, making it clear that he was knocked out.
“And stay down, Elephant!” yelled the man as he then muttered, “I thought he was in prison.”
The man then heard Ben groan a bit as he then turned to him, “Hey, are you okay?”
“Me? Heh, trust me, I’m fine. I’ve dealt with those guys every day, this is nothing to me.” Ben said as he then fixed his back a bit, as the man looked at him worried, “But, thanks man, you saved my bacon and a bit of trouble against Trombipulor. Seriously, despite being an elephant, he is ridiculously strong.”
The two looked at the elephant for a moment.
“Hey, do you think that there was someone inside of that truck?” asked the man as Ben shook his head.
“Nah, I saw the driver getting away once he was out of gas. There is nothing to worry about.” said Ben as the man looked at him.
“I’ve had to admit, you are taking the whole “A guy appearing out of nowhere to save you from a criminal that was about to kill you” well.” said the man as Ben smirked.
“Seen weirder, I shouldn’t be surprised.” said Ben, “Besides, I’ve seen you come out of a portal, so I took that as a lead for you to be from a different Universe, right?”
The man sighed, “Yeah. I’ve had a pretty bad day today and now it is getting weirder,” he said as he remembered how the day was supposed to be with his at the time girlfriend, Amber Benett, as the Guardians of The Globe covered for him for the day as they spent all around Chicago visiting new places, flying around the town and state, how they tried new food there, and even trying to have some fun at a cafe.
Until a Viltrumite came out of nowhere by the name of Anissa, almost killing Amber if he doesn’t talk to her, and while trying to convince her that he won’t help the Viltrum Empire, she fought him for an almost inch of his life. As she left, she mentioned a Viltrumite coming to Earth in the near future, far worse than her in every way.
Then after that fight, he and Amber had a talk and how despite both of them trying their best to support the other, they felt as though they were failing each other, how one wants to be in their world, but can’t due to that incident and how he felt during that moment when she threatened her life.
And if that wasn’t enough, a man by the name of Angstrom Levy threatened his mom and younger half-brother Oliver if he meet him.
Ben breathed in, “I feel you. It feels as though the world keeps knocking us down despite us trying to save it, huh?”
“Yeah, that’s… how I feel as well.” said the man, remembering the time when his father beat him to a bloody pulp before leaving Earth.
“But, hey, you gotta push forward, right? If someone pushes you, you keep pushing back until they know that you won’t stop. That’s what I do at least.” said Ben, “Oh… and I haven’t caught your name. What was it?”
“Hm?” The man turned to him, “Oh, it is Invincible.” Mark Grayson, aka Invincible, introduced himself.
“Oh, cool. That’s a cool hero name. And it quite fits if you keep going on despite people trying to knock you down on a lot.” said Ben, still chuckling to himself how his hero name is still Ben 10 despite being almost 17 with over 60 transformations.
Invincible thought that over until he nodded, “Yeah.” he grew a small smile on his face, “Yeah it is.”
The two thought over as they saw a group of elite officers that called themselves “The Plumbers” arrive at the scene as one party went over to arrest Trombipulor for his crime of robbing a bank while a second party went over what happened, with Ben introducing Invincible and thanking him for saving him. The Plumbers were surprisingly normal about a person from a different universe appearing and saving Ben Tennyson, almost as if that happens regularly.
Once they left, Ben and Invincible were at a rooftop, looking over for any potential crimes, “They were surprisingly chill when they heard I was from a different Universe.”
“Dude, relax about that. We experience this all the time.” said Ben as Invincible looked over with a raised brow.
“How weird does it get?” Invincible asked.
“Try meeting 3 different yous from the future.” said Ben as Invincible blinked with shock, “And try small war of different Universes of yous battling it out to save all of the Multiverse from being wiped out.”
Invincible looked at him in shock. “You’re joking.”
“Wish I was, bud.” said Ben as he chuckled to himself.
“Hm. Still. I saw that there were a lot of aliens in the crowd and working as those Plumbers, how come?” asked Invincible as outside of himself and his dad, the only real aliens he knew were Martian Man and Shapesmith.
“Oh, that’s easy. Bellwood has an underground of aliens down there that began to live down a few years ago that recently were shown to hang out with humans.” said Ben as the two looked down to see a group of Kinecelerans playing street hockey with other humans.
“Huh.” Invincible smiled seeing this, “That’s awesome.”
“You bet it is. Heck, my partner Rook is also an alien of Revonnahgander, almost cat-like aliens.” said Ben as Invincible nodded.
“Oh, well I guess it is fine if I tell you that I’m also part alien.” said Invincible as Ben looked at him.
“Really? You look like a full human to me.” said Ben as he looked at Invincible with interest.
“That’s because they are like humans in appearance, but… completely different at mercy.” Invincible sucked his breath, “I’m… a Viltrumite.”
What Invincible was expecting was a look of shock, hatred, fear or a combination of all three, but never a look of confusion.
“Never heard of ‘im.” Invincible turned to Ben in shock before remembering when he talked to Azmuth when he was 11 years old, “Wait, actually I’ve heard about them. I’ve heard that they were like superhuman beings that were made extinct due to an incurable sickness and when Azmuth finally created a cure, they died.”
Invincible looked shocked by that revelation, almost unable to believe what he said.
Sure the Multiverse was vast and infinite, but to think that Viltrumites are dead in this Universe due to a sickness of all things was almost mythical to believe.
Invincible thought about the idea.
The idea of no more Viltrumites in the Universe, no more planet conquering, people murdering, species killing people.
At the cost of his own probable existence, they were no more.
He… didn’t know what to think of that information.
Invincible sighed.
“But hey! I can tell that you’re a great guy despite being a Viltrumite. You being a Viltrumite doesn’t matter in the slightest. The same can be said about people. Some of them are good, some are bad, but they are still people at the end of the day.” Ben slapped the back of Invincible, wincing a bit as he was not expecting it being built like a wall, “It doesn’t matter what you are or where you come from, it matters who you are. Ain’t that right?”
Invincible looked down, seeing both sides of humanity at the same time, the crooked thieves ready to rob a bank and the good natured people helping old people walk down the street. He smiled.
“Yeah… I guess it does.” he said.
After a minute or so of looking down, Invincible had a thought, “Hey.”
“Yeah?”
“What is that on your wrist?” asked Invincible as Ben showed off his watch with a smirk.
“It’s the Omnitrix! Created by Azmuth so that it can be used for peace. I actually stumbled on it accidently, but with it, I managed to use it fully to become what I always wanted to be: A Hero.” said Ben as he looked at the Omnitrix with a smile.
“And how does it work?”
“Simple. I just press my fingers on the dial and wait for the aliens to show up.” Ben saw Invincible raise a brow in confusion, “He got it from all sorts of different Alien DNA.”
“Well… I want to ask, how about having a transformation of a Viltrumite?” asked Invincible as Ben looked at him, “I mean, you seem to be popular with everyone around you and on Earth-”
“And in the entire Universe.” He added with a smirk.
“Damn.” Mark then shook his head, “I mean was that I believe that you can use the Viltrumite DNA. Everyone here trusts you and I trust you. So what about it?”
Ben looked at him before grinning, “Sure! I would love to!”
Invincible smiled as he looked at his hands, “So how do I transfer my DNA into your Omnitrix? Do I take out my hair or-”
Invincible was then scanned by a bright laser that came out of the Omnitrix, going from his head all the way to his toes. Once that was gone the laser went into the Omnitrix.
“What was tha-”
“New Alien DNA scanned and recognized.” the Omnitrix spoke, shocking Invincible, “Viltrumite. Unlocked and available on Playlist 6.”
Ben then placed his fingers on the top of his Omnitrix, making Mark look over to see how it looked like. A display of every alien Ben has unlocked began to show up as it then began to scroll. The two then saw a human-like face with a mustache. The two looked at each other before smirking at each other.
“Wow. That was better than I thought it would be.” Invincible said, with an honest tone.
“It usually goes faster than that. But still, new alien unlocked. Sweet!” yelled Ben as before they could continue, they saw a green portal open.
Invincible stood up.
Invincible looked at Ben, “Good luck. I gotta go save my mom and brother.”
Ben stood up, “Godspeed.”
Invincible flew at high speeds, travelling into the portal and disappearing from where they were.
Ben then heard the nearby bank explode.
Ben looked down at his Viltrumite Transformation, “How about we go into a test drive? It’s Hero Time!” yelled Ben as he then slammed his Omnitrix, the rooftop being covered by a bright green light.
