    Summary

    “Of course I miss home.” Benji answers simply, like a child would. His accent is thick and unassimilated. Nothing like Armand’s—which is now perfectly posh. “But I don’t prefer any mosque over the other. They’re all for the same thing, aren’t they?”

    Armand doesn’t agree. He can’t remember the mosques of India in all of their particulars, but he remembers liking them more than these. Maybe because they meant home. Maybe because God meant something else before the slavers caught him.
